I'm having the same problem, but perhaps this glitch will be fixed after the event is over. Just to be on the safe side I will still file ticket.

i think its kind of rude of them to promise such a nice item and then not deliver and not even explain or keep anyone up to date

Lots of people seem to be missing the achievement and/or box (myself included). I don't know why Gaia hasn't at least tell us that they know about the glitch.
