Collecting Login Bugs (unstickied)

So here's the situation:
So I was on my main account and had to get an item from my mule account (this one). So I logged out from my main and then signed on this account to send the item. And then I get a message that says my main account must have a trading pass first, which is weird because I've been on that account for a long time and I definitely have a trading pass.

So I sign out from this mule and try to log onto my main, and it flashes error: incorrect password. Freaking out, I resend my login to my email and was able to change my password through the email. I signed on my main, and everything was normal, no gold taken, items, etc. Then I sign out and sign back onto the mule. After I finish whatever business I had, I try to sign back onto my main, and again it says: incorrect password.

I try to send the login email again but it won't allow me to this soon. And when I try to access it through the old email, it says error again too.

I've checked my main account's profile constantly, and nothing's changed---the avatar is the same and still has the same items.

Everything was typed correctly.

My main account has disappeared entirely. I'm a blank spot on friend's lists, I'm not on the moderator list of my guild. I can't get an email sent to me for a lost password.

Firefox or Explorer (tried both) & Windows vista, 32-bit.

I'm having the nearly the same issues as Kid Krampus. I went to log in on my main account, and it complained about an incorrect screen name. I tried connecting on here with both firefox and explorer with the same error given. I log in under this mule account, and I see a problem. It looks as if my screen name had been deleted for some reason. I don't know if it was from me trying to log in while my internet connection crashed, or if it could be a database server having an accidental coffee bath and consequently malfunctioning.

The avatar on my main account is not displaying as well, however, in the "equipped list" on the profile, I see the entire outfit I was wearing before... The profile I noticed also swapped to the old style.

If I'm in the wrong thread, let me know where to go with the bizarre bug.

Edit/Update: The glitch seems to have fixed itself, I no longer need help, thanks again!

Just tried to login on Opera (v 2.7) and couldn't; it told me my username/password combination was incorrect (after I confirmed it in Safari).

Windows XP, Internet Explorer

When i attempt to go to the main log in page. http://www.gaiaonline.com/ using IE a blank screen comes up saying.... Nothing here, go here instead.

I had to go to www.gaiaonline.com/mygaia to get a log in page. When I click on the Home tab it takes me back to the "Nothing here" screen.

Using Google Chrome on Windows XP I've been having issues accessing the login screen. Whenever I try to go to gaiaonline.com it says "Nothing here, go here instead." If I access a bookmark past the login screen, it lets me go right into Gaia no problem (thanks to the "Remember Me" function, so thank you very much), but I cannot access the login screen on Chrome. I can access the login screen on Internet Explorer 6 however, so I'm not sure exactly what the problem is. Just thought I should post since I didn't see anything here on it yet.

I've been getting the message that my account is blocked for 15 minutes due to failed login attempts for the last 12 hours or so...12 hours is a little more than 15 minutes so it sounds like a bug to me...I'm getting this problem with my other acount by the way (Nefarious Joe)

Wow, seems like quite a lot of people are having the same problem I am.

Every time I've logged in for the past few months, it has come up with the "Uh Oh!" message on the first try. I copypaste my username and password, so I'm not mistyping it, and when it started doing this, I had my password saved. Today, it failed twice before finally letting me in. I really hope Gaia isn't banning IPs based on a site glitch.

I use Windows Vista and my browser is IE8, if that makes any difference.

I'm running FF3.5 on both Windows XP and Windows 7, and I get the same issue that many are already describing. Firefox's feature to remember usernames typed in doesn't work until I already type part of the username in. So I've started typing in my username in full instead. I type in my password and hit enter, and more often than not the login fails and claims I typed an incorrect password, with a threat about banning IP addresses etc, etc....

Logging in from the failed login screen, however, works every time, using the exact same info. So it has to be a bug with the new login box, which I loathe in any case because I can't click the field to fill in my username. stressed

Ok, so basically, I had an account, HotRed_Streak:

- I was logged on, everything working fine.
- I am in shops trick-or-treating, so I click on another shop.
-Suddenly my avatar is gone, and there is an account notice bubble.
-It says I need to validate my account (which I did a long time ago), but the email address is missing from the form.
-I have received no emails for validation.
-When I try to log in it says the username doesn't exist.
-When I try "forgot login" it tells me the email address doesn't exist.
-When I tried to register for a new account, it told me the username and email were in use.

When you search my posts in the forum, my avatar and username are gone.

I have never had any problems before, or anything. Lately I've been having problems with a fake "your computer has a virus!!!" pop-up when I am using Gaia.

I cannot log into my main account, kyoki_hinote, I only get a notification that I've entered the username or password wrong.

I know I haven't, but I tried resetting my password anyway, but it did not work. When I looked up my profile, my avatar was gone, but the listing of the items I'm wearing is still there. It also says that I have made 0.00 posts in the forums, when I know for a fact that that is not true.

update October 21:
The "remember me" issues should be fixed as-of Monday morning. If you have any further problems with that, please post about it.

I'm releasing a code patch either tomorrow (Thurs) or next Tuesday. This patch should address the "browser doesn't show me my usernames when I click on the username field", "please enter your password", and "login doesn't work with JavaScript disabled" problems on FF2+ and IE7+. This patch will not likely fix any of the PSP/PS3/DS login problems but please post if it does fix it.

Explanation of patch:
When the login form was changes last week (to allow users to opt to login with their Facebook accounts) we removed the Labels for "username" and "password" and instead pre-filled the forms. Now they use background images to show those words. This means that we don't have to pre-fill the username field which will allow your browser to match your stored username as you type it (which seems to be what most users are familiar with).
