Hi,well a slight improvement, i can at least login in with FF now,still a pain though.Now my right name(jababoo)is there alongside the other one,which i can delete now,i delete also the wrong password,type in password,and login, have to do this every time, just updating you on whats going on now- cheers

It used to be that Firefox remembered and filled in my password automatically when I entered my username, but that doesn't seem to be working anymore. I guess it's less of a problem since the 'remember me' now works, but it's annoying when I need to check my mule accounts....

I also found that while being very careful to clear the username and password sections even if they have something there or not, then pasting my username and password, I can be successful to a certain degree. But LIKE TODAY, it failed the first time too. I had to do it twice today. I'm wondering if those shadow words you have there now are causing the problem. Because I notice that when I use the auto-fill option, the shadow words "username" and "password" do not disappear. And that's why I have to "clear" the spaces first. Though, as I've just said, clearing the spaces first doesn't always work for a successful log-iin.

Now I can't even log on at all with my Dlen Isolde account. Even though I'm very careful to clear the spaces, type correctly, and even copy-paste. It failed several times until I was afraid to even try again lest I get banned.

On one of my mules it did this too and I used the "Forgot Password" route and it let me in. But that is not the way I want to always have to log into my account. Especially my main account.

Why is it getting worse? I got on yesterday with no problem with my main. cry

I would like to say that the login box is still giving me issues with remembering my password. It's now a 'cross my fingers and hope i don't get a temp ip ban' due to incorrect logins. My password is correct, i've even typed it in very slowly and gotten an incorrect login. The frequency, for me, has increased by one or two extra incorrect logins per day. Not that it helps, but it's starting to frustrate me, and some note that this is being looked at would be helpful. Unless it's already been noted and i can't find it sweatdrop

Stargazer Lily ~ and this has been ongoing for several weeks - pm's to mods and two tickets to Gaia. The first ticket told me how to "reset the password" as if I were an idiot that didn't know how to do this. Obviously someone skimmed the ticket and saw password and didn't read. This last ticket told me to come post here about the issue.

I'm using MS Vista and Firefox and 9 out of 10 times when I attempt to log in I get the password error. Occasionally I get an immediate block for 15 minutes even though it's the first attempt. It has also occurred with another account I am now storing all the stuff that used to be in this one before I got blocked out of Gaia on a daily basis. If I want in, to post here as the ticket told me to, I have to request a password reset then check my email.

Interestingly, this is not happening with my main account, nor does it happen with our Guild Mule Account ~ and I log in with them every day, from the same computer, using Firefox.

As a note: This started for me at the time I connected this account with FaceBook. Disconnecting did not resolve the issue.

I love that ticket that told us to post the problem here when I can't even access Stargazer's account - it's been 3 - 4 weeks now. With the password reset option, I posted the above message. But unless I ask Gaia to reset and email her, I can't use the account at all. This account has no issues - from the same computer - my only computer. It would be nice if one of the admins would at least acknowledge the issue and let us know they're working on it, or we're straight up outta luck or something. Ignoring all these posts makes ya wonder.

Found out a part of the passwords not saving issue. My main problem now is that it REFUSES to save my main's password so that I can vend (won't save it on the MP, nor in gifting), but apparently, some guildmates of mine discovered that if you clear out all saved passwords and only have FF remember your main (and never click to remember passwords for any mules), it will save your pass on the MP. Not a great solution. >.<

The second thing I've discovered is related to the previous issue, where I made a new friend, and then their username started showing up under my list of accounts to log into. Apparently, this is related to gifting. If you gift someone something, their name will start saving under your account name listing at login, as I now have two friends in there. D:

I tried to log into my main account, [S]quee but i haven't been able to get in today....This is a first for me and i checked her out, doesn't look hacked or anything. I know i got the right password, i really hate this glitch.

Problems with logging in has been happening to [Polaris] since early October but not to any other of my accounts. At least once per day, I can't log onto [Polaris] because it says my password in incorrect but I know it is the correct password because it was copied and pasted from a word document and it is the same pasted information I used to log onto [Polaris] minutes before.

Well, I'm using K-meleon browser and an old account to post this, but I can't seem to get my main account to login with Firefox. It used to work every time, now it just one try short of getting banned.

It won't accept my password. This is an old story for many but it's the first time it's happened to me, and it started yesterday. Some of my other accounts will log in, but won't stay logged in.

A very strange thing, is that twice it appeared my login worked, but it shows the wrong avatar/account, and when I click on the Gaia logo to test, I'm not logged in at all.

Here are the things I've either tried or will not do.

1. I want to use Firefox, K-meleon, and SeaMonkey browsers on Gaia, nothing else.

2. My passwords are correct. Always have been.

3. I have flushed cookies and cache, rebooted Windows, etc. No good.

4. I turned off my form filler that inputs passwords automatically, and typed my passwords first into notepad, then copy/pasted them to the password box to make sure every character is right. Nothing.

5. It doesn't *seem* to be a hacking. The account avatar still has clothes and equipped with a collectible.

6. I abhore Facebook and am rather sick of them for haunting every corner of the web I use. Oh, that's right, I also had to turn off Adblock to try to log into Gaia, because I have many Facebook components blocked already from other sites I surf.

Using Firefox 3.0.11

Later versions of Firefox have memory issues that appear while trying to load anything Flash.

Please report any login-related BUGS you find -- we are upgrading some things and I want to try to track what's been fixed and what's left to fix
(one post per issue).
If your account was banned or blocked, that's not a bug (you can find other threads and the contact us link at the bottom of the page for those issues).

Known Bugs:

• Login onto the main site doesn't work from PSP, PS3, Nintendo DS, Palm Phones (error message is "please enter your password"; been happening for over 6 weeks)
  
• "Remember Me" doesn't work (we're attempting to fix this in the next few days)
  
• "Slow Down Buddy" as soon as I log in which prevents me from doing anything (usually due to a buggy Skype browser extension)
  
• iPhone (Safari mobile) is unable to login to the main site from the header (the form field still says "username" after I click on it; began when the login form went purple)

While in rally I got repeated login requests. I thought it was a hack/scam/who knows what, so I just exited out each time.
I was away from the window for a while, and after remembering that I was still in rally, clicked it...
There was an add for a porn site. It was definitely the only other window I had had up, and it had definitely been Gaia Rally.

Logging in under Chrome (v4, dev channel) was screwy for a moment, everything said i had a wrong password. opera worked though.

Also, on the ipod touch, the "login" and "password" default text does not go away when selected since the Facebook update.

I believe that's a browser-side feature.
If we changed the "name" of the input field or if your browser's history was cleared that could happen.

This has only been a problem with Gaia and not with my other network UID 'n Passwords, my history has not been cleared otherwise my other network info would have to be re-entered.
Ever since the log-in was changed to add Facebook I've been having trouble logging in successfully.

Since the change to the Facebook log-in, my first attempt to log-in often results in "Uh oh" message: either my UID or password is incorrect and further failures will get me blocked.

So for my second attempt, I am extra careful to do the exact same thing I do for the first attempt and it works fine and I get in. I do not want to lose access to my account because of this new problem. Please correct this issue as soon as possible. Normally I would be patient and let it be but since we are getting the messages and being banned for 15 minute increments I feel this one needs to be resolved pronto.
