Stargazer Lily ~ and this has been ongoing for several weeks - pm's to mods and two tickets to Gaia. The first ticket told me how to "reset the password" as if I were an idiot that didn't know how to do this. Obviously someone skimmed the ticket and saw password and didn't read. This last ticket told me to come post here about the issue.

I'm using MS Vista and Firefox and 9 out of 10 times when I attempt to log in I get the password error. Occasionally I get an immediate block for 15 minutes even though it's the first attempt. It has also occurred with another account I am now storing all the stuff that used to be in this one before I got blocked out of Gaia on a daily basis. If I want in, to post here as the ticket told me to, I have to request a password reset then check my email.

Interestingly, this is not happening with my main account, nor does it happen with our Guild Mule Account ~ and I log in with them every day, from the same computer, using Firefox.

As a note: This started for me at the time I connected this account with FaceBook. Disconnecting did not resolve the issue.

I can log into this account a little harder than before, but for some reason, I can't log into my main account AT ALL. I have NOT forgotten my password nor was I hacked (all of my stuffs are still there when I did a search for myself). After several tries, I am brought to a page that says I am given a fifteen minute time out because of too many FAILED login attempts.

My password is still the same! This has been happening these last couple of days where if I was lucky, I got through. However, today, I can't even log in at all. I have been clicking on the 'Remember Me' check box, but I also clicked it on for this account and it works just fine. However, logging on has also been tough on my mule account, too. It's just that it's easier for this account than my main. Please get this headache fixed soon.

I used the most updated version of Firefox and have Vista.

I've been having it happen off and on (it's become less frequent lately, however) that going to the main homepage when my login expires triggers an infinite redirect loop. (it switches between www. and login. until Firefox says "this page is redirecting infinitely" ) Thankfully I can load any landing page (apart from the homepage) and all is well there.

I'm pretty sure that this is a log-in issue..

Anyway, every so often, gaia will tell me that I'm entering my password wrong. I KNOW that I'm not, because a lot of the time, I had logged in as little as 5 minutes before, but change the password anyway.

Why does this keep happening?

I do not share my password with anyone.
I rarely click links unless I am familiar with the website, or it's a link ON gaia.

Someone showed me this thread. I'm so glad you made it. I made This thread about my log-in problem.

I also found that for the accounts that I use to use Firefoxes Remember password function which have always worked before, they no longer work. You, know, where you click on the username and the dropdown shows up. At first they weren't showing up at all. Now they do sometimes. The worse problem with that, is if I try to use them and they auto-fill the username and password, these no longer are successful. I get the failed log in message again that says it's possibly a wrong username or password. Which of course it can't be wrong. I've used them for a year and a half now with no problem before the new Facebook log-in.

I also found that while being very careful to clear the username and password sections even if they have something there or not, then pasting my username and password, I can be successful to a certain degree. But LIKE TODAY, it failed the first time too. I had to do it twice today. I'm wondering if those shadow words you have there now are causing the problem. Because I notice that when I use the auto-fill option, the shadow words "username" and "password" do not disappear. And that's why I have to "clear" the spaces first. Though, as I've just said, clearing the spaces first doesn't always work for a successful log-iin.

I use Windows XP with Firefox 3.0 browser

This. I've been *repeatedly* getting the "incorrect login" thing, and the url would end in .php. Had quite a few scares that I was somehow being redirected to a scamming site from the homepage, and many passwords were changed before a thread in SF told me it was legit. Then, after the login was changed, my mule's saved logins worked, but my main's was totally screwed up - clicking on first the username, then the password box, then the username box would get my pass to appear, but I'd have to type in my username manually each time, it refused to save.

So last night, I ended up clearing my saved passwords, and *cross my fingers*, it seems to have worked.

I just logged in and the majority of my gold has vanished I had a few thousand left and then..poof nothing

When I logged in today, it said I only had 1 gold and 1 Gaia cash when I have very much over that. And it's not going up as I'm collecting gold, or spending it - I checked in zOMG! and all my money is still there, so I haven't been hacked. It's a glitch, as this is happening with my friend's account as well -it says she only has 3 gold when she has over 300.

Just wanted to point out the glitch -also, when you go to buy things the page doesn't seem to work correctly.

All my gold from my accounts are gone as well. I was terrified I was hacked but I still had all my items. Is this a login bug?!?

I'm not sure if this has been stated or not.. and I'm not sure if this is Gaia's fault or Firefox's fault.. But either yesterday or the day before my saved passwords wouldn't work. They stopped showing up.

Examples :

1. For the log in I have my account and passwords saved to my computer. I would request to log into xx_Crayola_xx and it would say wrong password or wouldnt show up. [ This is been fixed by deleting what I had saved and re-adding it all.. ]

2. I had my password saved for the Marketplace. Where I didn't have to plug in my password each time I went to buy something. I tried doing the same thing that I did for my password but the box didn't pop up for me to re-add it. The box only pops up when I mis-type my password.

If anyone knows how to fix the marketplace error please message me.

I was just coming over here to report the second error the poster above listed. It's a massive fail, as that means no good deals on the MP for me. :*(

Is it possible to get hacked when no one knows nothing about you or your information?
I really hope this is just a glitch or something....
