Wow Gaia...Five years with you and all of a sudden my joy of you goes South.

I have endured having to go to another computer just to change my avatar. I have endured not being able to use the footer at the bottom. I was okay with having to use another computer to do the Halloween event because that family member was out of town. I was okay with the whole getting Gaia Cash for associating with partners cause there would be no way I would do that.

But I am hating this "Type the two words" crap anytime I want to relog onto Gaia. I have seen the many posts about this in this thread...but I have seen no answers. It would be nice if you could tell us what is going on. I am sick and tired of having to go onto IE just to get onto Gaia. Oh, the first time I open Firefox I can get onto Gaia no problem. But anytime I go away for a long time and have to log out of Gaia, when I go to log back in, I get the captcha crap. I've had to change my password for the fifth time this year for fear of it being hacked. I have had to empty my inventory to several mules because of that same fear.

Someone please tell us what this is all about!

Seriously. Some people are saying this is because of Facebook. Think of the users who don't have or want a Facebook! Don't punish us because of those that do have it!

i dont know if this is related but when i try to log in it tells me to enter a code and when i do it tells me to do it again and wont let me log in ninja

When I get the captcha for a glitched "incorrect password", it does not allow me to log in.

Step 1: Get "incorrect password" glitch while entering the correct name/password
Note: If you enter the incorrect password, then enter the correct info on the captcha page it seems to work
Note2: Sorry, but I can't seem to find any patterns to the "incorrect password" glitch itself D:

Step 2: Attempt to log in, again using the correct name/password

Step 3: Watch as it spectacularly denies your every attempt to log in

Workarounds I've found: Log in using a different browser
Attempts that didn't work: Connect to a different wireless point and try to log in
Browsers it's happened in so far: Firefox and Chrome

I would be happy to provide any more information, I'm just not sure what

This whole login thing happened AGAIN.

I was able to get on ONCE last night, but I need to get on more than just once, gaia.

My main, sammonroll, isn't able to get in. It was happening last night too, but I managed to get on once. Now, it's not working again. razz Even this new account couldn't log in until the second time and I doubt I keep mistyping my password on the first tries.
D: Please Gaia, I don't want to lose all the stuff on my other account. Nor do I want my IP address to be banned. >.>

Google Chrome Does not log in. It says my info is incorrect, and it is not. It just won't work.

I finally was able to get on. I just kept going at it till it let me on, but I saw something strange when I logged in.

seriously gaia, this login is getting to be a pain in the butt, there are a lot of people who are looking for an answer, myself included. I do not want gaia on my facebook, a friend of mine signed up for the gaia facebook thing and she got so many friend requests that she disabled it because it was more hassle than it was worth. So that is so far out of the question...
Please do something about this.

I'm growing increasingly annoyed with a log-in bug that I've had for a good while now and is now worse in TWO ways.

Before now, my first log in of the day was never accepted and it would tell me that I need to type in my password even though I in fact DID SO. However, this was only once a day (on rare occasion twice, though spread out) and no great bother to me. NOW, however, I receive an error message and it happens the MAJORITY of times I try and log in. To make matters even more annoying, though I do understand the precaution, I must type in a security check phrase along with the rest. I know the initial trouble of never accepting the first login was shared by a friend of mine so I know it isn't just me and is probably, in fact, quite wide spread.

I can't log in at ALL, no matter how much I try. I had to make a new account to post this. I bet as soon as I log off this one I won't be able to use it either.

alright this login glitch is getting really freaking annoying, i have been experiencing it since yesterday and it is starting to test my paitience, it is the same problem as everyone else is describing.
I do not use the facebook login and will not! I was on facebook before coming on gaia and noted when I logged out that there was a common problem, when i logged out it stated there was a logout error and showed the captcha box to fill in the two words...So most likelhy the two are linked...just take the facebook login in off already please!

Okay, so when I go to log-in (on any account), it redirects me to the Log-in error page where I have to fill in a captcha. I've tried going back to the home page (logged out), and doing it again to just get sent to the error page again with the captcha. It logs me in when I do it from the error page with the captcha in it, but won't let me anywhere else. I know my password's correct, so this is just annoying the hell out of me.
