Thanks so much!!! That was the issue all along apparently o.o I didn't even think to check anti-viruses. Mine work so well I forget they're there. sweatdrop I'll edit my first post about it.

Is anyone able to tell me how exactly how to put the link in my exceptions list. It keeps telling me that it has invalid characters.

XD I got the same problem as you but I spent 30 minute to figure this out.
First right click on Avira button. Go to Configure. Then find "Internet Protection". Click the "+" sign beside Web protection. Click "+" sign beside Scan. Click "Exceptions". Then add your url in URL skipped by web protection. Click apply when you are done.

TADA Your captcha should be appearing now.

That's what I did, an error comes up telling me that there are invalid characters. sad
