Perhaps you should go to 10.4.3? I honestly don't know if it will help this(Seeing as I can't revert to 10.3.9), but it never hurts anyways.

I'm sorry you're having trouble though.

actually, i could, if i wanted, but that also means backing up about 30 GB of data. sweatdrop

other than that, i really hate 10.4.3. dashboard, spotlight, the new mail, ect. i don't want any of it. i'm hoping in 10.5, its optional. at least dashboard and spotlight.
