toy - this is the very start of the Uma's life. whether made from the factory, a mother's rags, or simply just from knick-knacks, every Uma starts off as a toy. A toy can only become real after their master declares of their love.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxthough roleplaying a child does not really matter since the toy is bound to grow three weeks after obtaining it, it is preferred that you create a child to "foster" the toy. Roleplaying the child's interactions with the toy will possibly allow the toy to grow a week earlier than expected.
teen - the toy has just experienced the love of their master and just received the blessing of the fairy. here, the Uma is to make an important decision in their lives - to remain with their master and enter the field of service (herding, showing, jumping, riding, etc.), or to just turn loose and enter herd life. The teen will take a month to develop into an adult if in the wild, and three weeks if raised as a domestic creature.
adult - this is the Uma's fully developed age.
note - the female Uma are commonly referred to as "miniatures," while the males are often referred as "standards" due to size differentiation.
