This be the trading post, where ye can purchase rare and exotic creatures, but only when we have them in stock--so start saving ye're gold, as we never know quite when we'll be finding more keons or shikai... heart

OMFG! Guild?! Not open to all though...we expect you to lurk and get to know us a bit before we accept your application..cause there may be special perks for those who are guild members...*luff* n.n ^.~

You walk in through the front doorway, pleasantly surprised that the building's plain front hides a modern-looking, pristine room, with glistening linoleum floors and a receptionist's desk, although no one is sitting behind it. Looking around, you realize the front room is empty, although you can hear...something running your way...fast. You blink as you see a young, cat like creature come barging through a door that you didn't even notice in your initial look around, giggling the whole while.

"No take bath! Vashty no can catch!" he shrieked, squealing as a grinning man picked him up and threw him over his shoulder. "Now who's laughing?" the man said, eyes twinkling as he finally noticed you, and waved cheerily.

"New around here? Well, why don't you follow me to the back, eh? This'd be the trading post--where you can adopt keons--Kai here'd be a fine sample of those runts" he said, motioning his head towards the still squirming creature draped over his shoulder. "We'll also get in the occasional shipment of Shikai, if we're lucky--although as yet we've not had much luck capturing those..." he trailed off, taking you by the hand and leading you back through the door he'd emerged from, mere moments before.

<center>The Keon</center>

Over a galaxy away there is a small planet covered in great jungles. One might think it was uninhabited by any intelligent creatures, since most expeditions never come across anything more than simple animal life. For many eons the planet was peaceful, until the discovery of a new species, refered to by the explorer who found them as the Keon, named so for the sound they made. A race of humanoid cats; with human bodies but the ears of a feline and fur tipped tails, they were soon prized across the galaxies as a great possession.

Seemingly unintelligent, talking in mewls and hisses, they were thought nothing more than large animals, who would just as soon tear a person to shreds with razor sharp claws than look at them. Hunters travel to the planet regularly to attempt capture of these elusive creatures, the younger being the higher priced and most sought after for their rarity.

After being introduced to their owners, Keon usually take to them slowly, eventually becoming loyal servants and companions. Their feline nature gives them an independant streak, though it is looked upon as natural animal behavior by most owners. Despite their intelligence, most are unable to learn basic languages other than their own, only able to communicate on a simple level with those that own them.

These Keon hunters have just recently found a new planet to trade with, Gaia, setting up shop in hopes of selling off the valuable pets to the people there.

<center>The Shikai</center>

Once, in the remoter, heavily forested areas of gaia, ordinary deer came to live, and make their homes in the wooded places. Over the years, they developed more human characteristics, and formed a complex society, made up of many small tribes, most of whom lived peacefully with one another--after all, deer are not, by tendancy, very warlike.

However, as with most things, change came quickly, and hit like a two-ton truck. Humans came to Gaia, along with a plethora of other creatures--from wolfmen to elves to gargoyles...and even those who didn't hunt the forest dwelling Shikai took up more and more space as the lands grew more heavily populated, forcing the peaceable Shikai to move to more and more remote areas...which led to more and more competition for food, and other necessary resources, and caused many deaths among them--fighting between sects escalated to the point that inter-tribal socializing ground to a halt.

Despite all of this, the Shikai managed to stay, for the most part, virtually unkown to the greater gaian population. That is, until one particularly harsh winter.

Now, Vashtya, having spent a lot of time up in Wisconsin, always keeps a deer feeder in his backyard in the wintertime...something about the elegant animals had always intrigued him. One morning, as he woke up and went to re-fill it, he tripped over a small body, curled up practically on him doorstep.

"OMGWTF??? THERE'S A DEAD...THING ON MY DOORSTEP?!" he screeched, immediately running back into the house screaming for Vin to come help him move the carcass. Being rather stupid, he left the door open, and Mischief crept out to investigate. When a sleepy Vin followed Vash out the front door, muttering about killing Vash when he woke up completely. They were greeted by the sight of Mischief licking at the...furry..thing. "EWWWW..stop it, Mischief...you'll get sick!!!" Vash screeched, prompting a wince from Vin. When Vash kneeled down to further rebuke the nieken ((thank you again, Seifereru, for creating such an awesome pet xd )), he got kicked..in the derriere. "IT'S NOT DEAD???" Vash exclaimed, not screeching anymore. Poking at it curiously, he realized it was a young Shikai--a VERY young shikai. "Must have eaten too much last night and decided to sleep it off..." she giggled, turning to Vin with puppydog eyes. "Can we keep it?" he asked, batting his eyelashes.

Vin, who by now was also kneeling next to the little critter, cooed as well. "Of course we can...he doesn't look like he's going to be too much trouble..." he trailed off, already scooping him up and carrying him into the house.

--NO ART THEFT...otherwise, I'll track you down and devour your brains...seriously--ani worked VERY hard on these (and in cases where I colored and edited lineart, even though ani usually does final clean lineart, I've still put a lot've thought into it...so just don't steal, alright? heart )
--Flatsales will take place when we decide to hold them--although we'll usually give you plenty of advance notice, please don't EXPECT it--it's Ani's or my prerogative to sell/give away Keons or Shikai spontaneously, if we so choose.
--These pets are NOT RP necessary.
--Flatsale prices will be posted up with the keons/shikai available for adoption.
--Keon owners may ONLY own one flatsale keon...period. This is to ensure that everyone has a chance at one :3.
--You can own as many auction/raffle/event keons as you like...just one flatsale one XD.
--Keon owners may trade in older flatsale keons for a newer flatsale one, if they so desire--the traded in keon will then be offered up for adoption in place of the flatsale one that the owner traded them in for--however, if they're evolved, etc, they'll be a bit more expensive 3nodding .
--If you'd like on the mailing list, please post your request in the thread, and ADD ME TO YOUR FRIENDS LIST...that way I can sell out updating PMs en masse 3nodding
--At the moment, there are NO customs being offered--however, check back, as that may change later 3nodding
--Pet trades MIGHT be accepted...however, at the moment, unless it's something that I want so badly that I might kill for it, I'm not likely to say yes. Ani, as far as I know, hasn't been in breedables long enough to have a pet wishlist sweatdrop

--NO whining--by this I mean, not excessively...if you've lost a flatsale/contest/auction/WHATEVER, don't get SOOOO bummed out--we're going to do our best to see that everyone that wants a keon has the opportunity to get one 3nodding
--NO starting fights/flamewars in our thread--I mean, we don't expect you to be a saint, just reasonable--if someone starts a problem, please ignore it/take it to PMs/tell a mod about it...I want everyone to feel comfortable chatting/RPing in this thread, so don't spoil it for us--otherwise I'll blacklist ya faster'n you can say "hot potato"...I don't care if you hate someone in here or not...keep YOUR conflicts outta this thread. Period.
--If someone comes in here and asks a question whose answer is covered on the front page...DON'T yell at them--either direct them POLITELY to the front page, or answer it. Hell, ignore it if you can't be polite...Ani or I will answer it the next time we're online, at the very least xp .
--Don't harass Ani and/or Vashty about your keon--if you've ordered it, we're working on it as fast as we can--we're both pretty busy people...and irritating us isn't going to make us work faster xd . ((however, if it's been a REALLY long time and you're still waiting on something, feel free to let us know POLITELY...even we need reminders from time to time xd ))
