the pets

The Mougal is a rare lizard like creature that feeds on toxins and materials deemed unusable or disposable.
they're small, hardy creatures that need little but give allot. they eat things that cannot be disposed of naturally and they can breathe the most toxic of gases and filter them within they're remarkable lungs, the air they exhale is cleaner then what they breathe in, but as each Mougal is diffrent it is not impossible to poison or suffocate one, don't assume they're invincible.
they are in fact quite fragile, the're bones are clear like glass and hollow. for this reason they have been poched to near extinction as 'mougal glass' fetches a fairly high price, the hide was also taken for clothing and other items as the strongest most flexible hide of any other animal.

though it is now forbidden to hunt Mougals poaching, sadly, still occurs. here at the rescue we do our best to catch these poachers and bring them to justice wile saving all the Mougals we can. implementing them as companions to good hearted people was suggested as to help awareness of these truly amazing creatures that elder Cyris deemed 'natures rarest treasures'
there are curently four types of documented Mougals

the normal. Aquatics, angelics and demonics each with it's own set of traits and abilities.

Egg: 1 week about the size of a goose egg they're placed in a vial of acids to help them grow strong inside until they hatch

Kit: 1-2 weeks Kits are relatively defenseless and depend on their parents or companions for food, protection and will eat anything.

adolescent: 2-3 weeks the Mougal is ready to venture on it's own but they keep family close, and never truly leave. their diet shrinks but all fruit and other edibles are still game

Adult: uh forever! the fully grown Mougal ready to find a mate and start a family of it's own, full grown Mougals are strong and have developed a taste for only one type of material. all fruit is still game

Elder: can only be obtained by roleplaying, custom, or other special event in the shop.




Here at the MRS we seem to have a few rather mad scientists... long story short they tried to recreate a living breathing Mougal via cloning i guess they thought they could save the species that way... lazies....

BUT!

the Mougals genetics is a mysterious and complex thing. and it appears the code will never be cracked! WOO!
what was the result? a new species all together! a sub species we've decided to call.. Daigons.

what are they?
we don't know....
They act like Mougals.
Eat like Mougals
Breed like Mougals.
even SOUND like Mougals
but they look NOTHING like a Mougal... it's indeed very strange...

it seems our sientists don't know when to quit AND keep secrets... the pit bull dragon was their first DNA mutation, since the discovery it was thir doing the DNA studdy has been banned, and those responsible for trying to keep it hushed fired.

but never the less these creatures need love just like any other,
they are a rare breed of flightless dragon that are usually kept as guard dogs,or raised as mounts. they're pack hunters and very strong fighters. the name pitbull dragon comes from their resemblance in build and nature to the pitbull. unfortunately they're also used for fights. but with as rare as they are we only manage to get out mits on a few here and there. fighting dragons are usually unsaleable or DOA.

RP information






Adult Mougals tend to be around 2 - 3 1/2 feet tall, they're very agile and can climb sheer surfaces and walls thanks to special hooks on their paw pads.

they have long sticky tongues and a keen sense of smell. their hearing is insensitive to all types of sound.

Q: do you accept pet trades?
A: I LOVE pet trades, see the customs post for more information.

Q: do you take items as payment?
A: only cash shop items and monthly collectibles at the lowest marketplace buy price.

Q: custom slots are closed... can I bribe you?
A: maybe... PM your Bribe to the mule.

Q: do you do cosplays?
A: yes with ample reference. = )

Q: can I work here?
A: when we are in need of staff I will open a hiring thread.

Q: are the mougals RP required?
A: yes and no. wile it's not required you RP to own and have your pet grow it IS required to RP in order to breed them. roleplayers may also get special certs or even a custom cert background if they're around enough.

Q: I ordered a custom and it's not right, or I'd like something changed, will you fix it?
A: absolutely! simply state what you'd like changed and we'll work and redo it until it's right!

Q: can we co-own?
A: up to 2 people may co-own

Q: can we co-bid on auctions?
A: yes, but payment must be sent in ONE trade. all co-won auctions will be co-owned by both the winners.

Q: can we proxy? (proxy means to bid, buy, or 'stand in' for someone who cannot attend a particular event such as a flatsale)
A: yes, but you may only win one pet per sale. if you're proxying that counts as your one pet.

Q: I recently bred my pet, can I sell the eggs from my breeding?
A: All Egg sales must be done through the shop. you will receive 50% of the sale price. you are not allowed to sell the pet on your and doing so will get you black listed and reported for art theft.

Q: can I GIVE my eggs away to friends or through an rp contest?
A: yes, but you must PM the mule with the information so we can cert the pet for the new owner and all RP contest/giveaway threads MUST link back to this shop.

Q: can I PM the staff?
A: All PMs regaurding the shop must be sent to the mule. if you wish to PM the staff for anythign NOT shop related feel free.

Q: can Mougals breed/be mated to Daigons?
A: yes!! the kits will be a mix decided by a random number generator after the number of eggs is rolled = 3
