The Story

DreamAway Inc. and the Sweet Dreams Co. are both major companies from a universe centered at a dimensional nexus. Their realm is over-burdened with Dream and Belief energies from all of the various dimensions they are connected to and it's purely making their world's structure crumble. To solve this problem and handle the energy from it, the two companies created The Manifest Dreamery. It is essentially a hatchery for these energies to grow into stable living beings so they can safely return to their own worlds or others, without just being loose energy that can explode out elsewhere.

Due to that nature of the energy, the creature types can be very varied and create some very...interesting critters. These two companies must work in sync to keep things working smoothly, though things are not always created equal between them. They must also provide the pocket dimensional space for the creation, breeding, and training of these creatures so as to allow them to function in societies! It's going to be a bumpy ride!

The Intro

The Manifest Dreamery is an original art b/c shop that is partly based around sketch art and multiple-arts-per-stage. It's high concept and pay is based around a points system. It may be a little odd to take at first, but we're a friendly group and we'll make it work.

2. Please do not steal the shop art, characters, etc.
3. This shop follows the and would like you to do the same.
4. No excessive chat speak and leet speak. Just please don’t. It gets old after a while.
5. Please don't sell your kid or attempt to bribe an owner out of their kid. It's rude, dishonest, and unfair to others. If you no longer want your child, please request that it be rehomed or given to a friend or retired. Especially since we allow similar concepts, don’t go trying to take someone else’s.
6. Don’t harass the art staff, please. If you have a problem or a waiting issue, please discuss it with the owner or a manager. This also goes for if you are having a problem with another player – please contact a shop manager or the owner.
7. Please do not spam the thread with bumps or emote only posts. By the same virtue, too many gif posts or gigantic page stretchy post formats might be asked to chill on it a bit.
8. Don’t be scared to just talk. We don’t bite in an unfriendly manner. Talk about your day, ask how people are, talk about things going on, whatevers. If a discussion gets out of hand, the staff will let you know, but otherwise, just have fun.
~ 8a. A little note - there are plenty of people in this shop who may not get along. There may be drama from other shops or baggage or whatever. What I am going to emphasize is the following: Dreamery is a safe. zone. - Leave your conflicts at the door. If you don't want to rp with someone FINE, good for you, you do not have to. If you don't want to talk to them, you don't have to do that either. But we are not playing the let's walk on eggshells and send hushed whispers or nasty comments about each other games. We just aren't - cause that is just going to explode into drama later. If you have a problem with someone's existence - leave them alone. If you have a problem where someone is causing you trouble - report them privately to staff. Things will be handled fairly to the best of our abilities. Just try to play nice guys, we aren't 5, y'all shouldn't need to be put in separate corners because you can't be nice, and y'all shouldn't need to hide from things like streams or the shop thread because someone might not like you. If you have a problem, we will try to handle it. But seriously guys, just, take it easy.
9. In the case of trouble, you will receive 1 minor warning, 1 official private warning, 1 public in thread warning (which is when you will be grey listed), and finally banning if the behavior or trouble continues.
10. Beyond that, try to have a good time. The rules are for your benefit, as well as ours, and more may be added as needed.

* May I have one for free?
~ Yes you may. We are on a points system. Please visit the thread here to see.

* What’s the cost of a custom?
~ 20 points if it’s your first character, 30 points if you already have one, and more for over a certain number of characters. Please see the Points thread. Points can be gained numerous ways IC and OOC.

* What about events or flatsale characters?
~ 10 points to get the character if it’s your first if you win an event (winning usually gives you 5 or 10 points) and 20ish if it’s not. See the thread for specifics.

* Can we quest?
~ Sure. Questing and trying for quest characters in events can earn you points. It can also earn you the potential for someone to possibly want to gift you the character.

* Why is the art sketchy?
~ Because the main art at this shop is sketch based. You can get more complex, but it takes activity and points. Please see the Art Explanation Thread.

* Why is my art taking so long?
~ Could be any number of reasons. If it’s been over a month with no word, please contact a manager immediately. You should have been updated with information by now.

* What do we even DO at this shop?
~ Come in, hang out, concept characters, play them? The universe is very open ended so once you get used to it, it can allow for a lot of possibilities. But if you’re having trouble, we can help you out.

* What is a “Manifest”?
~ They are the characters you can acquire at this shop. Please see the thread about them for a further explanation. That thread can be found Here.
