• in a place not far from where you are now, there was once a great
  star farm. what's a star farm you ask? well, that's a bit hard to
  explain. star farms were little places hidden within the community.
  And while most people went to the restaurants to eat and drink, or
  to the libraries to read and write stories of their own, or other places
  to gain advice or criticisms, almost everyone would eventually end
  up at a star farm.
  
  
• many would come hoping to gain a higher ranking in their
  community, and some went merely to socialize with other star
  farmers. most would on occasion pick up a star seed, plant it, and
  watch it grow. some were very avid, and would not stop until they
  had many stars of their own. the stars lit up the community with
  a beautiful light.
  
  
• as time went on, the community grew and to keep growing, they
  began adding new features. unique signature items, more shops,
  charities, an economy, a jacuzzi here or there, and cough
  avatars. people began to forget about the star farms.
  
  
• their light began to fade..
  
  
• this shop is one of the last remaining star farms. we plant the
  seeds. we watch them grow. And when they are ready, we
  harvest them. We do this hoping to bring back a little glimmer of the
  glory days, but also so that they won't be forgotten.

  in the beginning, the stars have been collected and placed in the bottle.
  sealed, the stars will begin to cluster and life will begin to form. while there
  is not much activity outside the bottle at this point, there is a swarm of
  activity within the bottle. it will respond to loving comments, soothing
  tones, and warmth.

• d u r a t i o n | roughly 30-45 days
  
  finally, your new star kit has emerged into the world. during this stage, your
  young one will develop a precocious curiosity about everything in their new
  environment. this includes yourself, other's of their kind, playing with their
  wings, trying to collect stars and of course, playing hard and sleeping long.
  they lack the wing strength to fly, but with some practice they can glide short
  distances, and even hover a few feet. however, with this new ability comes
  a terrible case of being clumsy, and uncoordinated. This could cause
  problems for an inattentive parent.

  they still have their sense of curiosity and a measure of the energy but now their

  r e q u i r e m e n t s: at least 6 months of adulthood, must have bred once, and
  must have 3-4 roleplay threads throughout it's life.

• how can i acquire a pet? can i get one for free?
  -for the most part, you can acquire a pet from flatsales, auctions and
  raffles. however, if you are short on funds, we do run events, contests
  and games that are free. keep your eyes peeled for opportunities.
  
  
• what is the base cost of a pet?
  -adult cats cost 10,000 gold, kits cost 15,000 and bottles cost 20,000 gold.
  If it's a bear or a bunny, add 10,000 gold. If it's a familiar the price is the same
  as for the cats.
  
  
• how long do they take to grow?
  -while this answer is in the stages part of the thread, it takes about 1
  week for your bottle to grow and about 45-60 days for your child to grow.
  
  
• is roleplaying required?
  -roleplaying is not required for you to have your pets, but it is highly
  suggested as dedicated RPers tend to get more out of events.
  
  
• can i have a job as a colorist, guest colorist or thread manager?
  -yes, we are hiring. we are looking for full time/part time colorists. as well
  as looking for a roleplay manager or two, and a certist.
  
  
• is there a limit to the number of pets i can own?
  -no, there is no limit to how many you can own overall, but there is a
  limit as to how many you can receive from specific events. Usually 1-2.
  
  
• do i direct-link my pets?
  -you can, however we ask that you upload them to your own site.
  tinypic & photobucket are more than sufficient.
  
  
• can i resell my pets if i lose interest?
  -if you have, at one point, lost interest in your pet, you cannot
  resell it. however, you may rehome it. the rehoming rules are located
  here.
  
  
• can i sell extra kits in a breeding?
  -no. they must be given away freely. you cannot profit from your pets.
  how they are given away however, is entirely up to you and the other
  owner.
  
  
• where can we rp our pets?
  -you can rp your pets either in the guild or in the main thread, though i
  ask that you keep the rp light and, of course, pg. if you have a more
  romantic one x one rp, we ask that you move it to the guild.
  
  
• can star cats, moon bunnies, and sun bears of the same sex breed?
  -yes, they can. don't ask how, just go along with it.
  
  
• where can i find an owners list?
