Please follow all shop rules. If there are any questions or need for clarification, please ask.

1. Do not violate Gaia TOS.
2. Do not steal or referene/eyeball the art or claim it as your own.
3. Respect -everyone- in the shop.
4. Take -ALL- drama outside the thread. Anyone who starts anything will receive a warning, after that it will escalate to grey/black listing.
5. Do not pester staff about growings and arrivals. We try to keep you updated.
6. If you have any personal questions for the colorists, PM them unless they ask otherwise.
7. Be a good sport. If you win, you win. If you lose, you lose. Do not guilt trip or force anyone to give up something they won.
8. Do not ask to color for the shop. You can apply whenever we are hiring.
9. Do not harass or abuse staff in any way.

What are the Kiku?
They are cats of all sizes, born from dreams usually.

How do I get one?
Watch the shop, there are many ways to get one from games and events to customs and giveaways from other owners.

Are these RP required?
Nope, RP is optional but there are perks for people who do.

Do you accept IRL stuff (money/items) for them?
Nope, payments have to be made in Gaia gold and Gaia items.

Can you just give us one for free?
Only if staff is feeling generous. Games are usually always free so just enter, play and hang around the shop.

Can we co-own?
No, dreams are unique to each person.

Can we re-home a Kiku?
This is still under debate and will be updated when everything is agreed upon.

How long do they take to grow?
A week for each form is standard, but it can greatly depend on the colorist and their schedule.

Can same genders breed?
Officially yes! They do so through day dream breedings which have their own slots. Instead of kittens, the parents to be receive dream clouds.

How many babies do they have?
Depending on certain factors, anywhere between 2-4. You can read more on this in the breeding section of the guild.

Lifemates?
They can become lifemates, you can read more in the breeding section of the guild.

Is there a limit to how many times they can breed?
The current limit is 3 times per Kiku. This may or may not change in the future.

Do you allow pet trades?
Yes but it depends on the colorist and their schedule.

I have a question but it's not answered here!
Go ahead and post in thread or PM the mule or another member of staff. We'll be glad to help you.

Once upon time there lived a girl who dreamed. She dreamed at night and she dreamed during the day. Her mind so full of life it had little room for much else. So when the girl began to learn, like most children do, the life in her dream found itself lost.

“Where do we go”, she would hear them cry. She had no answer to give. Over time the girl grew and she learned of many things. She learned of cruelty and sadness as well as happiness and light. She learned mathematics, literature, languages and art; her mind becoming so full that the life could no longer be heard.

Until one day she found herself in the shadow of a cloud. She found herself perplexed at the sight, no book or teacher had ever mentioned such a thing. It followed her indoors and out. It hovered near in the dark casting a silver light across her room.

The girl found herself unafraid. The cloud felt as if it were an old friend, a welcomed presence on those nights alone. She spoke with the cloud softly often finding herself with a coo in her voice as if she were a mother and it were her child. She told it many things. Of friends and family and the days that would go by.

Time passed and the cloud remained ever at her side. Until one day during class it began to shake. With a resounding pop the girl found herself with a lap of shifting fur. Her classmates oogled and awed, pointing out the twined fox tail and cat-like shape. It was then, the girl realized, her life of learning had truly begun.

After the discovery of her astounding ability she longed to share it. She finished her schooling, meeting many friends along the way and together they came upon a world for these creatures. In the form of a pet shop. She soon realized the danger of her imagination after a jib about dreaming a man eating couch; only for it to become a reality. Despite all of this life was good for her and the world she made.

But one day the shop closed. The creatures vanished as did the girl and her friends. Until one day someone turned the sign to ‘open’.

Dream Clouds
Most first generation Kiku are 'born' from a dream cloud unique to their owner. The dream can be anything and reveal anything from it. Only the owner will know and can explain details themselves. The cub will reveal themselves within due time, usually once they've gathered enough information to know who they are and who their owner will be. Rarely are dream clouds found alone and without an owner.

Kittens and Cubs
Kittens are unique to breedings only. Kiku are cats, mammals, so they give live-birth to a very small litter of kittens. Kittens are very small and require a lot of protection, they are rarely found away from their parents or a source of warmth, safety and food. The kitten will grow into a cub in due time and from there into an adult.
Cubs usually arrive straight from dream clouds or grow from kittens. They are still young and learning many things, but will be safe wandering from their parents or owner to explore and play. They will grow into adults in due time.

Adults
Finally the cub ages to a point where they are considered an adult. At this stage they no longer need protection from a parent. They get no larger than most house cats or at the very least a small lynx. Adults are also old enough to find love and start a family of their own.

Elders
With age and wisdom, an adult can reach elderhood. They're much older and scruffier, but no bigger than they were before (except maybe if they get fat). Elders can still breed and raise children if they feel up to it. Many choose to take this time to live out their life and relax.

Guardians
In rare cases a dream cloud can reveal a Guardian. These Kiku harbor special abilities and powers and have been sent to act as a protector to their owner. Guardians are much larger than standard Kiku, reaching sizes along the lines of full grown lions, tigers and panthers and are noted as being adorned with jewels.

There are a variety of ways to obtain a Kiku of your own...

Flatsales
Flatsales are common and usually held in the form of a speed sale, or a two-day raffle. There are usually anywhere from 3 to 6 or more Kiku to lay claim to. Just be sure to check the rules for each flatsale set up before you enter. Flatsales cost 5k if you win, no matter if it's growing full adult.

Auctions
Auctions are held for very special clouds or groups of Kiku. They are often halfbreeds, edited in some way or on the rare occasion a Guardian. Auctions tend to get pretty high, starting at 5k and rocketing into the millions depending on the prize to be won. Just be sure you read the rules and can pay should you get lucky enough to win.

Raffles
Raffles can be free or require some sort of payment to enter. Tickets can be limited to one per person, a few per person or as many as one person can afford. Raffles also usually contain a wide selection of Kiku to choose from. Clouds, cubs and adults of varying edits, species and colors can be found here most often. Prices for tickets are usually 100g, but be sure to check before hand.

Games
Games are always free and held by anyone on staff, or sometimes owners of parents who just had kittens. This is always a stroke of luck and usually in the form of RP contests, dice games, search games, quote games and anything else you can possibly think of to have a good time. Games aren't always announced and are usually a surprise and sudden thing, so keep an eye open.

Customs
Each colorist on staff is allowed to open as many custom slots as they can handle in a months time. Sometimes you'll go a month or two without seeing them before one or two custom chances pops up. Here you can get a Kiku and make it look like anything you could dream of, with restrictions within colorist rules of course. You must pay attention as everyone is different and will only open slots for certain things each time. Prices vary greatly and more information can be found in the guild on how to fill out your form and what you can expect to pay.

Breedings
Breedings are typically only open to owners with adult couples who want kittens. This is one of the harder ways to get a Kiku if you do not have one. You usually have to hope for extras to be raffled off, gifted away or placed in games of chance to win. For the owners of the parents, they choose what to do with the children. More information on how breeding works and pricing can be found in the guild

Customs are the only chance to get a Kiku that looks a specific way. Every detail is determined by the requesting patron and they even get to choose who makes it for them. Customs also tend to be very pricey, ranging from 30k to over 500k and more. It's usually worth it, as most are harder to make over others. Just be aware of your price range and ideas before going to a colorist to get one.

There is a wide variety of choices to pick from. Any colors, edits, markings etc are all available upon request. Some things may be harder to get, or in a different category which may not be open at the time. A detailed guide of each species and range of edits and prices is available in the guild customs section. There you can also check to see if any spots are open to try for.

Having children and starting a family is always a blessing, even if only one parent remains in the children's lives. Great care has been taken to help developing families and kittens, making sure things go smoothly until they are ready to be on their own. We are no stranger to how things work and have set up special dens on the grounds around the shop for a family to get settled in a temporary setting before finding homes and lives of their own.

A couple will now always have at least two kittens at a time, with the off-chance that three or more can show up. If a couple is life-mated, it's common for them to always have three, with a chance at four and rarely more depending on circumstances. More information can be obtained in the guild breeding section. Everything is listed in great detail, pricing included, for a couple to start a family of their own.

You never know, a single parent might even get the chance for a miracle child to call their own...
