Whisper stayed still, crouched there beside the river, watching and waiting. Lately, she had found herself wandering towards a random river and having a fresh meal. Fish had become a main dish for this wolf and all that fishing had sharpened her skills. Now she was completely still; so still it seemed she wasn't even breathing. But indeed she was, but the adolescent was just focused solely on that one fish swimming unknowingly into a wolf trap.

Closer.. closer.. splash!

A fish flopped helplessly on the riverbank and semi-close to the water. Knowing her meal was trying to make a getaway, Whisp pounced on it and grasped it between her powerful jaws. There was no way it could escape now so she settled down and placed it on the ground once it was completely lifeless. Now that she didn't have to tune in on the fish so much, she began listening to her surroundings. There was someone nearby, but she didn't pay much attention to the scent--hunger was calling her and her grumbling tummy forced her to take a bite of the freshly caught fish.

Vitus padded along side a river, his toes spreading out ever so slightly as he placed them down onto the larger pebbles. His tail still as he glanced over at the water, although he wasn't directly beside it he was still a bit nervous. He had come to get a drink, but a noise had distraced him. His ears had perked up at a splashing sound coming from down river so he figured he'd check it out. Splashes of such weren't very common around the river, at lest not to the sandy coloured adolescent. His eyes squinted as he gazed ahead looking for whatever had created the splash. A small figure appered in the distance. He let out a bark as he approached slowly.
((Sorry that took so long to post. Went to get food.))

Whisper's head snapped up and away from the fish as she heard a bark that sounded somewhat close. It rang a bit alarmingly yet familiar in her ears. Who could it be? Unsure, being as her sense of smell was smothered with the scent of fish, and a bit nervous at the thought of the other wolf being potentially dangerous as she wasn't sure if she knew this one or not, she lowered her ears and tail noticably. The adolescent nosed her fish then gave a yip in reply to the other's call.

His ears perked up as he got a reply yip. The scent of fish filled his nostrils, as he witnessed the other wolf lower its ears and tail. He let out another bark saying that he wasn't a treat. The wolf ahead seemed farmiliar to him, but he couldn't figure out who it was. The distance between the two was too great, but he knew there was something farmiliar about the opposite wolf. Picking up his pace he troted up towards the other.

(( Eh.. if Yakobi doesn't mind, you can join in the arpee. ^^ Another wolf would make it more interesting I think. ))

Whisper tilted her head slightly as she got another bark from the other wolf. Good, this wolf meant no harm. As Vitus came closer, she recognized his form and the colors of his pelt. Her first friend! Auds slowly lifting up and tail gaining a steady wag, the adolescent gave another yip, this time one of a friendly greeting.

*Calico, padded swiftly along, the river bank, tossing over small river bed pebbles as his paws slip th occasional time. His peircing green eyes gazing around the area as he soon comes to a quick halt. Ears twitching forward he hears a lound splash, followed by a larger bark. His nares flaring slightly as he urges on forward, only to come to another quick halt, this time almost causing him to slip across the river bed pebbles and straight into the rushing river, that seemed to filled with plenty of fish.

Gazing forward he spots a large figure, sitting straight across the river on the grassy river bank, and another figure moving steadily across the river bed pebbles, his gaze didn't last on the two long, it soon fell upon the femme's catch of the day. His gaze turning into a gaze of hunger, as he stared at the fish as a human would a sunday. His small cut short tail, wagging to a mid stop as he lingers forward, his tounge lolling out through his parted jaws. It had been days since his last meal and here was a large plump looking fish sitting straight across the river from him, though it was in the grasp of a larger wolf then he, and she was a femme. He had heard so much about, how femme's can get real cranky, and make even some of the stronger wolves tuck tail and run.

Though what else could he do? If he didn't happen to find anything edible and fast, he would die off, it all now depended on if this femme would allow him to nab a small n** of the fish, though he highly doubted it.
Urging on forward again, he began to move swiftly along the river bank, as his ears caught all the sounds that the wind had carried, though it didn't really matter.*
