Whee >w<

Oh, bye Carhop XD

Don't despaire, Cats >3> It's fairly easy to fit in, keeping in mind that you keep in mind the timeline you're operating under. The basics to remember is that it's the 32nd Century--almost anything is possible. And that you're operating under a socialist/communist regime--almost everything controversial is illegal and everyone is paid the same amount of money so you have to be creative when it comes to being able to afford a Prince.

So would it be plausible that her father researched, designed,
and built her leg for her if he's in the medical industry?

And I'm sorry I'm emoing in this thread. I just don't like second guessing myself. >->

xD I suppose so. Though in the 32nd Century... god, they're already researching ways to regrow rat limbs, I'm sure it would be more than possible for your character to regrow her leg. A prosthetic is possible but again, you'd have to say why better, MODERN (prosthetics are so 20th century XD) fixes for her leg won't work.

:B

She's allergic to the material needed to regrow the leg?

Can't fix allergies like that!

XD But...allergies are so easy to cure..
I don't think you could be allergic to cells and such your body already contains.
Since I'm guessing they'd go reverse engineered stem cells and regrow it in a lab, all flesh and blood and then reattach it, give you a lollipop, observe you, rehab, home.

Edit: They'd also have a ton of different medications resulting from those years of research, no?

Not like allergies as in pollen and such, but physical allergies, like being allergic to latex or certain medicines.

They might not do it that way though. Or of they did, they might need to use a specific chemical or material to stimulate the growth.

You never know, in my experience a lot of medical fixes are not as straightforward as they might seem.
Perhaps since her father doesn't want to waste money on a bioengineered leg just to have her climb and break it again, he gave her a cheap (but expensive compared to "regular" people terms XD) metal one? o3o

That's a good point, Kurluu XD

Well, there can be other excuses like... er... religion? Believing that god gave you only one limb and it's blasphemy and ungodly to grow a new one back that god didn't provide for you? XD BLAME IT ALL ON RELIGION.

Maybe it's a cleverly hidden underhand commentary on physical alteration and they choose to do prosthetic over regrown.
Or you can just have her not want a newly grown leg?

She could be tormented by old horror movies.
