We have a iRC Room now; #soquili!
We decided to go ahead with since there was a bit of interest when it was mentioned in the thread, and since I seem to be a bit versed in the ways of the iRC, I'll be the one giving the explaination. iRC, Internet Relay Chat is a service offered on the internet that allows you to chat realtime with people, so something like Yahoo!Chat. Or whatever. We've decided to open a room in iRC for you, the Soq regs so you can have the chance to chatter with people 24/7 - even when gaia is down or w/e.

There are a few ways you can get iRC:

MIRC: http://www.mirc.com (I use this one xD.), Windows!
Colloquy - http://colloquy.info/ - Mac!
xChat - http://www.xchat.org/ - It's Multiplatform, and good for our Linux users.

If you don't want to download a new program, there is an Extension for Firefox users, called Chatzilla. If you don't want those three I've thrown up, here's a full list of all the clients available (One way or another):

Full name: Don't have to be your real name. I mean, mine's been set at "Matti AKA Greer" since I was a GM for aeRO². XD;.
Email: No one will see this, I don't think. but it is needed.
Nickname: The nickname you'll use in the room. Mine is Vexen, for reference.
Alternative: Incase your name is already taken on the server, an alternative is te second name it'll pick when connection. Mine is Matti, for ref sake XD;.

=Dec 10= There are some tagged pets on page '044 that Sirenz made. We have some announcements on page '350/'361 too. There is a Christmas event going on that is still in the starting stage until we get in more pets to give out. I'll post the link officially when we get it moving along. Sisi has a new job during the week so the next RL openings may be postponed if I don't get done with at least half of things owed by Wednesday. I thought I'd be starting after Christmas but they say they need me earlier. This season is all about giving to others but many people don't know how they can make a difference in even a tiny way. I was given the link to http://www.freerice.com by a friend. It's a site that donates rice everytime you play their word game and get a correct answer. They get money from the advertisements so they can have money to donate rice to starving people. If you have a spare moment then please play it. I been trying to get 1,000 rice every day. =Sept 23= I hope to have the kelpi/mer event next weekened! Also, I'm still working on pets owed and grow ups. This new job is very exhausting and I'll manage my time when I get home so these pets can be finished by the end of Sept. Summer Raven won the charity raffle for Aug..with a pet colored by Endejester! There won't be a Sept raffle this month but the charity has been extended to Oct 1 due to lack of nominations. The prize is 200k so head over to the Questing HQ in the main guild for details (sticky). In November, Sisi will be at the Wizards convention in Arlington, TX which Kiki's Road Trip is making an appearance at. I hope some soquili members can go! The soquili flash website is in planning still so expect more info on that in the coming months. I'm sorry but I'll have to move the event to next month. I feel horrible doing it and apologies to those who were looking forward to it. This shop has some issues that needs to be worked out before we have another event. Two colorists are no longer working at this shop, White Arsenic and Dark Lunar Fox. Another colorist needed to go on haitus due to computer problems as well.

Ameh has received a promotion in the shop (at least that's some good news!) She can now do customs instead of just breedings.

I'll be opening a hiring thread on Wednesday in the guild so we can get in some new breeders.

=Aug 19th= There is now a section explaining the mersoquili and showing silhouettes too!! Chibizoo and lilwere templated most the new lineart for me since I'm busy working on RL soqs I owe. We are all planning for the cool Kelpi/Mer event coming on the 25th of this month. <33
=Aug 13= There is going to be a kelpi/mersoquili event August 25th where the new mersoquili will be given out as well as kelpis. It will introduce the two properly into the plot line of the shop. Sirenz is working on getting the July 22nd pets done so please be patient. I saved all the info into my to do list so I should be getting them out today and all this week. I want to spruce up the shop layout with all the cool new art we got in the art contest but been so busy. I'm thinking about messing with the layout in the near future. I want to keep the look of the banners but just want to add some art from the contest in graphics. I don't want to change the tag because I like it and I'm sure you do too. Plus, it would be insane to change over 1,000+ soquili!
=July 24= Today I worked on more soquili owed and PMed to owners. The ones left are all editeds which take me some time to finish so sorry for the wait. Leelakin got done with the adult mersoquili so they will be ready for the Kelpi/Mersoq event next month after I template them.
=July 22= The HP event is over now. Any HP characters that were not in the event can be quested for. ^^ Also, on Saturday Sirenz couldn't be online very much due to RL happenings so sadly no pets were completed but will make up for that on Sunday! Huzzah! The thread is a spoiler free zone for the HP books so please don't ruin it for someone who hasn't read yet.

I had a job interview today for a job that pays 10k more/year than my present one so I hope I get it! Also, the awesome colorists have made lots of cute Harry Potter pets given out during the Harry Potter event this weekend. I'll probably contribute myself once I am finished with everything owed so I won't keep you good peeps waiting. In the event there will be a big flatsale, RP contest, auction, and free raffle. I couldn't get ahold of Leelakin so I don't think she will make any HP soqs herself. She went to Live Earth and hasn't come back yet.
=July 6= 'grats winners of the July 4th raffle! I'm catching up with things owed so please be patient. <33 I want to work carefully with quality so it may be some time before I get finished with everything. I got in some pets for the Harry Potter event and I was so impressed! Many of the pets featured will be creatures of the series and a few human character cosplays. If you are a soq colorist/breeder and want to contribute in the event then please PM Soquili on what characters/creatures you will be assigned.
=July 4= When I get home I'll work on more pets owed. There is a July 4th free 24 hour raffle that's guest colored by the lovely Ballentine! One post/ticket a person please and no mules.
=July 2= There is an RP contest going on for those with 4 or less soquili, click here. Check on page '427 to see sketches of the upcoming mersoquili that Leelakin says will be done before she goes to Live Earth or when she gets back. I been thinking that if a soquili and mersoquili mate then a kelpi could happen rarely since it is a bit of a cross between soq and mersoq because it can walk and breathe in water. Some info on mersoquili that I came up with: 1) They can dive deeper and farther in the ocean than a kelpi. 2) They are a kind species that are curious about land lubbers unlike kelpi who are generally considered evil. 3) There will be a kelpi and mersoquili event in the near future where you can get them for free! icon_eek.gif more info later on them!
=June 29= Today Sirenz worked on stuff again and will probably do the same tomorrow..next day..so on ..so forth until everything is finished. Huzzah!! There will be a July 4th free raffle with 2-3 patriotic pets probably in the afternoon since Sirenz is being dragged off for a family outing at the Rangers Ballpark stadium for their game against the Angels. Then that following week is the long awaited Harry Potter event with pets and familiars cosplaying the characters. One might be colored by Leelakin but I'll have to see if she still wants to. Also the art contest deadline for submitting WIPs is tomorrow at midnight (CST).
=June 26= Sirenz had a root canal today so is in lots of pain. I still feel kinda woozy but I got some work done. I'm sure I'll feel better tomorrow to get lots done if I go to bed now. =June 18= Our only guild is getting very crowded and disorganized so Sirenz has made a Services guild located here. Eventually, all the services offered in the current guild will be moved over there. If you have an idea of a new service or think that something in the current guild should be moved there then post in the suggestion thread (located in the services guild). The "Trading Post" post on the first page will be changed to "Services" and have links to most of the threads in that new guild. Also, there is a charge of 250g to get a change in the Request Thread. The first time making a change is free as well as equipping familiars and getting untagged images.
=June 15= Customs open on Friday at 7 pm central! I adjusted the pricing so go take a look. The unedited base price is hundred of thousands lower than if you were to get a full custom with heavy editing. Pay attention to the colorist limitation post on who wants to do what. DLF and Sirenz are not opening slots until June 22. I couldn't get ahold of DLF in time for slot opening today. I may not be around at 7 pm to open the slots but Cajmera may be there. The soquili art contest ends in two weeks so get your art in fast!
=June 9= While Sirenz has been on haitus she has been thinking of some ways to improve the shop. Today she fixed the bribe option. Also, all breeders of the shop get up to 5 breeding slots a month that they can open themselves in the breeding subforum of the guild. This new feature will start in July since we already had breeding this month. If you have a suggestion then use the Feedback thread in the guild. There is an upcoming RP contest where two winners (one colored by lilwere and the other by Sirenz) will get a dream soquili. If you are a colorist/breeder and want to contribute a custom pet for this event too then PM Soquili.
=June 8= Sirenz is going to take a haitus until Monday to get some much needed rest and clear her head. She may color some pets since she loves to color a lot while she is gone and will PM them to the owners. <333
=June 7= If you have an elder then please visit the Elder Thread located in the guild. Customs will open June 15th but the prices are still underconstruction. I've added usdia, flutters, and kalonas. Also, a new pricing system concerning edits. There is a flatsale tomarrow, June 8th, if everything goes well. I'll check with Lilwere to see if she is ready before posting the exact time. Chibizoo also colored some cool baskets for the sale too. In the Questing HQ, you can enter into the dream soquili raffle for june and nominate someone for the quest donation. Thanks to Mika for reminding me about this. We had no funds at all in the charity so I went ahead and donated myself.
=June 4-5= Sirenz stayed up all day until nearly 4:49 am to get all grow ups done. There is one grow up left but she is waiting on a pm from the owner first. Everything has been nearly done. In the guild, there is a new thread that is asking those who have been cleared for elders to please post the picture of your pet. Sirenz will then grow those into elders when possible. Chibizoo is working to get done stuff owed but is having IRL issues so won't be around that much. 'grats to all breeding slot winners! =May 11th= I finally got a good graphic design job earlier this week since I was recommended from a freelance client of mine. They been working me pretty hard all week to see if I can do this job so that's why I haven't been around. The money is good so I might be able to move out after the 2nd paycheck. Huzzah!! I have no work tomarrow or Sunday so I'm focusing on tagging and customs. I'm very happy to finally get a good job that will help get me noticed IRL. *huggles and luff to everyone* Please do not PM the mule for breeding or other bribes. =May 4th= There will be a Mexican themed flatsale of Usdias tomarrow to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Usdia colored like animals, flowers, plants, etc native to Mexico. It will be conducted in a cute way with pinatas. It starts Saturday at 7 pm CST. Be there!! There was some confusions about customs today because my net wasn't working due to tornado damage. Check page 2 to see if you had gotten a slot.
=April 26= We all decided to have the pokemon sale/auction this weekend instead of next weekend since we feel the buzz of the pokemon games would be less strong next week. =April 6= Spring Event. We got most of the pets that WA owes grown up. She was able to come online and give us the pets she colored. We all hope WA gets better soon. Also, Sirenz is still working on stuff owed and won't contribute to the event until everything gets done here. update: Sirenz had to contribute because Chibizoo is MIA and did not deliver the 2 flatsale pets she promised.

=April 2= We are having a Soquili Art Contest to celebrate the 2nd year of the shop. You can donate to this contest if you go here. We got info about WA finally. She is sick so please be patient while she recovers. Like I said..arrangements will be made after the event and Cihiru has offered to help out.
=March 22= Still no word on WA. If she is still MIA by the Easter event, then her breedings will be given to other colorists. All the staff are still pretty busy so continue your patience please. I'll work on more of what I owe this week and hopefully will get all of it done before April 1st. DLF isn't able to make chickie and hummingbird familiars for the event so we won't have them. I'll think of some other way for all the pets to celebrate Easter.
=March 20= WA is still MIA at the moment. All the colorists are pretty busy so I don't think we will open any customs in April. Maybe a few breedings for the Easter event. The Kelpi event this weekend may be cancelled because I'm not caught up with all the work I owe and it isn't fair to those waiting. If that happens, it may occur in May although that could probably be too late. There is a big stat update on '121 for those who RP!!
=March 12= White Arsenic is having IRL issues so be patient for her growings. I opened some RL slots today but I'll get done the stuff owed previously before I start on them. On Saturday there will be a small race to find 4 leaf clovers. The soquili who wins will get a prize.
=March 7= Today Sheridan became an elder! Please do not ask me to make anymore elders until Hatter is finished with the stats. I'm going to make a list of pets who need to be elders on the new lineart. Also, Caj and Skye are figuring out rules for the elders. The Kelpi event is on the 24th but all of the work owed will be finished by then. *hugs*
=Feb 27= Sirenz is still working on things owed. Sorry for the slowness. Also, Aris Ravenstar resigned from her coloring position. She will get all the work done that she owes first.

=Feb 7= The Water edits are done for the Kelpi soquili. Yesterday there was a familiar event. The traditional MLP valentine event may be moved up to Friday if the colorists get finished with the MLP soquili that will be given out. Also there will be a surprise auction with two mystery ANGENI soquilis to help Sirenz with her quest for a d-tail. Clues: #1-they are related #2-they are from the place that sounds like the tough to remove substance on pots and pans.
=Feb 3= Sirenz and the others are working on things so be patient. Cihiru is still having PS trouble so please be patient while she gets that fixed. Also we are planning a valentine event that will happen next Saturday (10th) with valentines & a flaffle.

It would be ok for the soquili theme because the soquilis would just be colored like that and be like their super evil counterparts.

=Sept 05=Lightning and Rasputin are the culprits..cursed with corpse power. Mintaka is the winner! There will be a trial for these accused coming up. Are they really innocent or guilty? What proof is there against them besides everyone's accusations. Even Oyohusa accuses them but they deserve a fair trial. What will be their punishment for destroying the village?? Vote in the poll!
=Sep 03=Since the skinwalker event didn't have as big a turnout as we hoped we are letting people guess who did it until Tuesday@noon (central). That way if you couldn't be online during Labor Day weekened you can still read over the RP that took place in order to form the conclusion of which two soquilis were the ones. PM Oyohusa when you figure it out and how they became skinwalkers. There will be a raffle of all the correct answers held on Tuesday.

=May 1=The auction is finally over and now i'm planning a mothers day event to honor all the mommy soquilis. Maybe the 2nd and 3rd gen soquilis can think of things they can do to honor their mothers. Also I'm working on a soquili metaplot that will introduce a new breed and kind of soquilis.
=April 29=Some discussion of baby soquilis that come from baskets was made in the thread. After some thinking, there won't be any baby lineart made. It would upset the RP balance of the shop and the mystery of the baskets. The Valentine event will be on the 10th..and last until Feb 20th (my birthday..and the gaia ball). It will be called Soquili Valentine Birthday something... not sure yet. I'll sell soquili valentines that will be similar to the Christmas event secret santas. Also there will be a soquili beauty contest (with brains too) and some games. Why so many events? I have so much free time now because i only have 4 classes this semester and they are all art classes except for Intro to Advertising. I do the work during the 3 hrs the class meets. XD..What better way to spend free time then doing Gaia related things. ^.^

Most the pets are 84kb-100kb(in file size)..never over, unless the owner puts another image in their sig. =September 19th=There are 2 breeding slots open in the guild. (Sirenz thicket) DLF might open 2 this week so don't feel bad if you miss out. There is a special going on where one of the babies could look totally different from the parents but this happens randomly. Answer yes or no if you want the chance for one baby to look different. In the wild, horse babies sometimes look entirely different from the parents.
=September 14th=Kamiki's soquili, Stormchaser grew today! I hope to grow the rest this weekend and open breeding slots. Also I plan to work on more stuff like the NPC and shop map. The story contest will probably be around that time too.
=September 7th=Today we had a free lurker raffle for every non-owner who posted on the last fifty pages. Foalen won the event and was rewarded with a beautiful basket. It pays to lurk and chat in the thread..even if you don't have a soquili. ^_^ We might do another event like this in the future..so keep lurking! We are still going to open breeding slot..but without the pregnant lineart. Perhaps sometime we will make it work... DLF might be opening 2 slots and Sirenz will open 1 slot when possible. Also a story contest is in the works based on the legend of Wind Horse. Sirenz just can't write stories that well. o_O'

=August 4th= Sirenz is back from vacation! DLF will be gone all next week on her vacation! This weekend, Sirenz hopes to grow up everyone's Soquili into cute foals.
She is also planning an event that the young foals can participate in when they have left their baskets..

=July 30th= A flatsale date has been set!! Sunday at 7 pm. DLF is going to a party tonight so we won't be able to have it Saturday. whee she is online now!!! It is tonight instead. ^^

=August 16th= We now have a newbie welcome center subforum in the guild with a contest going on to help all newbies feel welcome in the shop. We have had problems of people ignoring newbies so this will help make them feel like part of the shop. click here to see the spanking new center!!
=August 13th= King is opening bribe slots! Please check the Availability post for details! There was a change made for soquili rape plots. It's allowed but of course no rape RP and you can only use rape in a plot if you have owned a soquili 6 months or more. If any abuse of this occurs you will be banned from it permanently for your first offense. An official rule will be drafted this weekend when SiSi can find the time. Also more work on getting elders up again will be done then too as well as getting more pets done that I owe.
=Aug 2nd= We have two very important announcements about peltless skinwalkers and rape of soquili so click here. News of a bear SW and some additional rules will be found here. Also Sirenz has been taking way way longer on soquili rl commissions as you all may know so I'm announcing my haitus as a colorist of the shop until I get all the work done. I won't be coloring any more soquili for events as well. I think that this will be best so I won't feel like I gotta contribute colorings and further stress myself out so I can concentrate on my workload. I'm the only colorist in the shop who has never officially taken a haitus of any kind so I'm long over due this break. I'll still be in the shop as an owner just not colorist.

I know with horsebreeds it is bound to happen but please be aware of what other soquili look like by going to the ownerslist if you are unsure.

=Jan 15th= The poll results of the Valentines event were carousel horses with 100 votes and Victorian with 95. Since carousel won and Victorian was so close, we will have some carousel horses with a Victorian valentine theme. Some of the prettiest old fashioned carousels were made in the Victorian era so that will be lots of fun. ELF and I will be sending out event notices to the colorists. It's a small event so colorists don't have to make very many. I'll make some too after I get caught up. Thanks to everyone who voted! <3
