Nocturna is an Island where the Noct have come to get away from the persecution by the humans of the world. Nocturna is run by Lucus and his family, a group of Royals who were among the first to settle on the island.

The Nocts are a race of humaniod creatures who were created through experimentally combining fox, bat and human DNA created BY the humans to be a kind of "guard dog". Their DNA gives them the strong senses of an animal. A Noct is also larger than a human, a male Noct standing at average 8' and the females between 6'-7' on average.

Nocts are able to transform into their quad forms to fly. The quad form is much smaller than their regular form, making them a little bit larger than a bat.

The Noct have a form called the Rage form. This form is created through great periods of anguish or anger without any control of the Noct who is doing it. The Noct are pretty much like the Hulk during this period.

Halfbreeds are a combination of Noct and humans and are considered neither one nor the other, which tends to make them outcasts from both groups. All halfbreeds have elvish-like ears that are covered in a layer of soft fur. Some halfbreeds may bare a pair of small wings. This trait is more common in females than in males. A halfbreed may be able to become a quad Noct, but at a much shorter period for time than a Noct. Halfbreeds have extremely keen hearing and sight, more so than a human. Halfbreeds cannot reach a rage form. Halfbreeds cannot fly. If a halfbreed does have a tail, it is an extremely small one. This is also a very, very rare trait. They are also usually no bigger than that of an average human because their body now holds much more DNA of human than that of an animal <3

Humans are seen as the bad guys in the Noct society as they are the ones who caused the Nocts so much grief. The majority of the humans have mixed feelings of hatred and disgust of the Noct race, seeing them as beings who should never have existed.

For the most part, Nocts are like penguins and mate for life. Rarely, however, a couple will find that they aren't meant for each other and part their ways.

Breeding always takes place with adults and most often results in two babies. These babies are rarely twins, however. Noct litters can reach a maximum of six babies with the help of the Gypsies while a human and Noct couple or human and halfbreed couple can only have up to three children with help.
