❀❀❀ LEGEND OF LUNARIA FLATSALE #1
Username : Byagane319
Lunarian Name : Hakkyou (japanese for insanity)
Path : Warrior

Personality :
Noble Hatred: Hakk doesn't hate nobles, she just wants to kill them all. She is blinded by her past, believing all nobles destroy their families with their alignment; therefore they are worthless.
Cruel: Hakk just barely follows the rules when it comes to war. She enjoys seeing those she feels are the enemy suffer for fighting against her.
Observant: Nothing escape's Hakk's notice. She is always alert to her surroundings and filing things away in her massive brain that might be of use later.
Tactician: There is a method to her madness. Hakk's ability to figure out tactics that no one expects is almost unmatched, but it seems no one but her see's the path until the end.

History : Hakkyou started her life as a simple peasant girl living a simple life with her parents and two older brothers. They ran a rice farm and lived a happy simplistic life. She played with handmade dolls and would play hide and seek with her brothers in the rice paddies. She was really good at it, they never found her and always burst into giggles as she jumped out at them. Everything was so perfect. She was quite happy with her life until the war reached the borders of her small village. Sides were chosen, families were torn apart; including her own.

Her two brothers sided with the nobles, saying it was time for a change and that only war would bring the change the country needed. Her parents sided with the majority of the village whom supported the Emperor, taking Hakkyou with them, and declared their lives were fine as they were. War would only make their lives harder and destroy all they had made for themselves. Her brothers, disgusted in their parents' refusal to join the fight, left. Poor Hakkyou was heartbroken at the loss of her big brothers and cried for days after. Then, one night, all the tears dried up.

It was the dead of night when screams erupted through the village. Houses were set ablaze and entire families were slaughtered. Hakkyou was awoken by the screams of her mother and she ran to see what was wrong. Sliding open the door revealed her eldest brother, his blade wet with blood and their mother lying dead on the floor. She stood in shock at the scene when another scream echoed through the house, it was her father's. Her other brother came in from a side door, his own blade red. Hakkyou couldn't believe her eyes, her own brothers had killed their parents; and now their eyes turned to look at her.

In a flash she was running towards the rice paddies, the only place she thought to go. It was the wet season so they could not burn and it was night time so she could not be seen. In terror she hid, listening to her brothers call out to her. They wanted her to come back, to come with them; that they wouldn't hurt her if she would just come out of hiding. But the more they talked, the more angry Hakkyou got. Slowly she stalked them through the waving rice, an idea already forming in her head. She made a quick sound to draw their attention then ran. Her brothers took off after her, blades at the ready to kill a future Legion Supporter.

They didn't even feel the fangs sink into their leg as they ran. Hakkyou simply sat on a low hung tree branch and waited for her brothers to appear. One they reached the clearing, their breath was beginning to be labored. They attributed it to all the running. The two brothers raised their blade to strike down at their little sister when their vision blurred and their hearts burned. Both fell to their knees as pain raced through their bodies. The eldest looked up to see a cruel smile gracing his once innocent sister's face. That's when he understood the symptoms. Hakkyou knew were all the snake nests were in the paddies from their many games of hide and seek. She had tricked them into running through them. They were going to die and she had killed them. Hakkyou hopped down and walked calmly to her dieing brothers. She picked up their swords and simply walked away, letting the poison and the creatures of the paddies deal with her brothers.

As they shed the blood of their family, so had she. Now she knew what side she supported and joined the fleeing villagers to the city. Here, she would show those nobles the error of fighting against the true way and their own families with the very blades that had cut her own family down.

Prompt :
Quote:
With the moon reflecting brilliantly against inky surface of the Gu Jian River, the Lunar Festival is finally drawing to a close. Hundreds of Lunarians have gathered at the river’s banks, carrying in their arms the lanterns that once hung from the paper chains throughout the Imperial City’s marketplace. One by one, they set the lantern on the surface of the water and give it a light push, sending it bobbing on the river’s light current. Heads bowed in prayer, they say one last good bye to the dead. You and your family/posse/friends notice that your lantern collides a bit with the one floating beside it. Looking over you see that the lantern belong to a noble/legion family/posse/group. You're a little bit irritated that you have to share the night with them for once and the water with their stupid little lantern-- though it probably because of the wind-- dared to bump into yours. You figure it was an irrational feeling of dislike but you're caught staring at the other group anyway. What do you do?

Oh it wasn't an irrational feeling of dislike, it was complete and utter hatred. Her two friends glanced to the pale faced female next to them, silently begging her to follow the proper formality during this festival. There was no way they could explain away an attack when Hakkyou was involved. Everyone knew how much she hated nobles, if she was around when one was attacked, she was usually the first to be blamed. And they were usually right, even if she hadn’t laid a hand on the noble. But she didn't move, she just stared. Hakkyou to look each member of the noble group near them; her cold eyes examining each one. Hmm, one was lithe and long limbed; must be a fast fighter. One was all muscle, barely a neck showing; a battering ram fighter. Last one was obviously the leader considering how the other two stood behind her; just like her own little group.

This area of the river was isolated from other families, the closest one well out of hearing range. Hakkyou had chosen such a location so she could say her own prayerss in privacy. Her eyes fell on the slippery rocks of the river’s edge, the dark lapping water that could easily hide a body. The stones were large enough to hold a body down so it wouldn’t float to the surface any time soon. Even the fish in this river were fleshing eating so not much would be left. The ground was soft, enough to bury any clothes or identifying jewelry. A soft wind was blowing towards her, which would hide any smell of blood as it poured onto the ground. The muscular male would come at them first, to scatter them. A quick kick to the knee, breaking or dislocating, and that problem was solved. Next the fast fighter would be up, going to defend his fellow. Her friends Jei and Kai would take care of her, leaving the leader for her. A quick movement to force her into a defensive position, then a sudden faint to the left towards the water. It would be unexpected. The leader would strike out at her but a quick throw would land her in the cold liquid. It would weigh her down, making fighting far more difficult and harder to coordinate movement. A few more dance moves and the leader would fall in a bloody pool. That leader now turned to look at her.

"Something wrong?" her voice almost a challenge, or at least a challenge to Hakkyou. Nobles were all alike, thinking they know everything. They always thought they could make things better, never happy with all they already had. Just a bunch of selfish, egotistical killers.

"Why yes, something is wrong," Hakkyou slowly started to walk towards her. Her friends gulped a little but followed, just incase they had to hold her back like that last time where Hakkyou nearly killed another student. Her voice was soft, but the ice that tipped it was nearly palpable as she spoke. Many had called her the ice queen due to her skin and hair color, it was a reputation she cultivated just to throw people off when she actually did attack.

"I see three people who are a curse upon their family. Parasites sucking out the blood of those trying to make life happy for all. I see child killers, father slayers, and mother murders. No one is teaching them a lesson for their bloody and treacherous ways, they are simply allowed to honor their dead whom they killed by simply being who they are. But that is not what is wrong. For dealing with all that is fun."

"So what is your problem?" the muscular one spit back, his anger quite obvious. He really wanted to kill this little legion supporter.

"The problem is that this festival and all it’s little rules are far too long," she grinned a cold grin before turning around and going back to the shore near her lantern.

"Why you little!!! I‘ll fight you right now! COME ON!" the muscular one nearly lashed out but her fellows held him back; reminding him of the rules of the festival and the punishment that would follow if he attacked. But he continued to try to get to her, so they used all their might to pull him away and off down the road.

Hakkyou smirked to herself then knelt at the edge and prayed to the spirits of her slain mother and father, bidding them enjoy the ever lasting peace of the after life; and promising to never let their sacrifice be forgotten. The pale haired legion loyalist stood back up and walked off. Her friends smirking to themselves. She really was good at this. He would have gotten in trouble, not Hakkyou. Then again they could always say she provoked him but it would be hard to substantiate; even for the two remaining. Hakkyou was going to be a scary general.
