What I do and do not want to see in this thread. You don't want to upset the dragons do you?

              1. Be kind and courteous to all users. If somebody is being rude, inappropriate, etc. I will deal with it as the thread owner and take the proper action. Just ignore them until that happens. I do not need or want to see people arguing and making a scene in this thread.

              2. No stealing. Sproutyhead is a great artist, and if you like/want her art you should give her your patronage and support. Check the credits section of the thread if you like the resources to find out where they came from.

              3. No spamming or advertising. If you are looking to advertise I would be happy to list you under our affiliates section, but there's no need to spam the thread. Of course you're free to have whatever advertisements or links in your signature, those don't count as spam.

              4. Don't spend what you don't have. We won't take items in place of gold for payment. If you just don't have the gold, then wait until you do.

              5. Make sure you read the entire post for an event/activity. I dislike putting time and effort into giving all the right/proper information only to be asked questions about information you have already had supplied to you. If after reading all of the information you still have questions, then you may ask them.

              6. Don't feed the dragons. They're on a special diet, and introducing something new into it might make them ill. We don't want that to happen!

              Egg ------& Youngling -------& Adult ------& Elder

              EGG
Well now aren't you lucky? Dragon eggs are precious and delicate. Take very good care of it and it will hatch someday soon! Baby boys are laid in lush bluegrass. Baby girls are laid in purple grass. Dragon eggs usually take about two weeks to incubate and hatch.

              YOUNGLING
Younglings, or baby dragons, make a lot of noise and wiggle a lot. But they are still so cute aren't they? Better watch them closely or they might wiggle away from mommy and get into some trouble. It will take these little ones a month to grow into adults.

              ADULT
Wow, that noisy little wiggle worm certainly did grow up! Adults strive to learn everything about the world in which they live. If a dragon didn't learn anything today, then it wasn't a very productive day for them. Dragons rely on their guardians to lead them to knowledge. Dragons who don't study usually become depressed and grouchy. Better give it a good book to read.

              ELDER
So, your dragon has seen and experienced much of this world. They've accumulated enough wisdom to evolve into the final stage.

Up in the heavens, the guardians watch over the dragons of Long Dao (龙岛), bestowing wisdom and favors upon them, and making sure they are never left wanting.

Peering down from above, you can see that Long Dao is the same as it's always been. An island with snowy mountain tops providing plenty of flowing rivers, glittering like strings of sequins in the sunlight. There are meadows full of springs flower blooms, their colorful petals dancing in the breeze. Fields full of grass lush and green keep grazing animals fat and full for the dragons to hunt and feed on. Niches in the sides of the mountains provide shelter for the dragons and a place to roost and raise their young.

At the base of the largest mountain you can see the entrance to Táo Shù (桃树) Temple. Right outside of the temple grows the only peach tree on the island. This is where the dragons bring their eggs until they hatch, where the most important event in every dragon's life happens. Aisling, the priestess of the temple, resides here. She is older than even the most ancient of dragons. Some even say she was the one to lay the first dragon egg. She has remained in the temple since the dawn of the dragons, guarding the dragon eggs, able to commune with the guardians and ask which one will claim the dragon inside as their own.

Claiming a dragon is no small task. Dragons have a thirst for knowledge and magic that must be satiated. If a dragon is ignored by their guardian, and does not gain enough wisdom, they wither away into a husk of scales, gone forever. It is a sad fate that no dragon should ever have to meet. And this is why they need you.

And now there is a temple full of eggs waiting to be claimed. Aisling is calling to you. Which egg will you choose?

              CUSTOM INFORMATION
Customs slots are opened and closed at the colorists' discretion. Some may be available only every other month or less often, and some may try to make themselves available every month. You are welcome to ask when a certain colorist will be opening their slots, but do not pester them to open slots, accept bribes, etc.

Please read the pricing guidelines and information in the customs forurm (linked at top of post) before posting a request in a colorist's thread.

You can win up to 2 custom slots per month.

              BREEDING INFORMATION
Lifemates and breedings will work a little different here in Long Dao. Dragon families come in all kinds and sizes.

              Same-sex breedings are allowed.

              HAREMS
Sometimes a powerful male will have a large group (or harem) of male or females to breed with. Other times, it could even be a powerful female with a large harem of female or male dragons. These dragons consider each other family. Breedings between a harem leader and it's members are a display of the love and bond within the family and produce medium clutches of eggs.

Harem members generally do not breed with each other or any members outside of their group, just with their harem leader, but it has been known to happen before. A mating between two harem members or a harem member and an outsider will produce a small clutch of eggs.

              LIFEMATES
Some dragons prefer to be an exclusive pair. Their love and devotion to each other are so powerful that these pairings produce a large clutch of eggs.

              RANDOM
Many times a dragon will choose to have a short relationship with another dragon, either because they are lonely or it just tickles their fancy. Whatever the reasoning, these dragons do not usually have a strong attachment to each other and the pairing will produce a small clutch of eggs.

A small clutch of eggs is 2; A medium clutch is 3; A large clutch is 3-4.

Harem leaders can breed as often as they like. All other dragons can breed again only after their young have reached adulthood.

You can win 1 breeding slot per month. However, you can bribe a colorist for additional breeding slots.
