I'm not joking, and no it's not a McDonald's promo, that's just color association at work. Go ahead and send the trade and name to me or USS. I dun care which. ^^

The problem with owning work dogs like that isn't that their neurotic, it's that they're bred to be working animals. Border Collies make terrible pets because they're bred to run all over the Scottish hills herding sheep all day. That doesn't translate well to being a pet and sitting around in a house all day waiting for your owner to come home from work. Their energy level is just way to high and they make up things to do, usually destructive things. It's similar behavior to when zoos took animals out of the wild and put them in small cages with nothing to do.
This is pretty much true for any work dog. Dalmations, German Shepherds (particularly them. I've heard them described as 'dogs that are often smarter than their owners'), Collies. Pretty much any herding dog. If you want to keep one as a pet you have to give it a lot of repetitive things to do. When I volunteered at the Humane Society the animals that were always being returned were the herding and hunting dogs. ::nodnod::

I have 2 dogs that seem to be part collie. One is part border collie/black lab and the other might be collie/german sheperd. The second one is lazy, but we used to bring the collie/lab mix to sheep herding classes. I think she really liked it. I don't think they have those classes where I live now, so of course we don't bring her anymore.. sweatdrop
I remember watching a program about how humans intereacted with wild animals that talked about how people are using border collies now to "herd" Canadian geese off golf courses. Goofy, but it's about the only thing that works with those accursed geese.

Ah! That explains alot. We had a German Sheperd also, but then he ate my rabbit and my dad was afraid he would attack one of us next (my sister and brother were probably not above 5 or so) so we had to get rid of him.

Let's see... we've owned:

-a brittany spaniel that died at 16 after a rattle snake bit her in our own backyard and I recently found out the vet had to put her down compared to what I was told that she died before she got there. I was really young and that was the dog we had owned since I was born until she died. I can't remember how old I was when she died, but she was such a good dog that still had a couple of more years left if she hadn't been bitten. Despite that, it was funny to see my dad go out in the backyard the next morning with a golf club and weed whacker shin guards on looking for a rattler. I see it as Sassy was trying to get rid of the snake so it wouldn't get one of us.

-oh my god, have we owned our share of poodles. Those things are so stupid and inbred (when you buy the nonstandard)

-german sheperd

-boxer (we had one that was huge and he sat on the couch and I got in trouble for this... the other one sat in a chair)

Let's see... I think that's all the dogs we've owned.

My boyfriend's mom has a dog that's around 3 or 4 and has seizures (did I spell that right?) all the time. It's very sad.
We've only owned one dog.. I forget what she was a mix of. She was an outside dog as we owned a ranch. A male dog from the next door farm kept coming over and getting her pregnant. I hate that dog, not because of the puppies... The puppies were cute, I always named one brownie... But mainly because the first time that I saw the dog in her pen, he growled fiercely at me baring his teeth, I was afraid he was gonna leap out and bite me! I was a few years shy of 10 for heavens sake! gonk

Yep, they're all listed under the owner's list so even if I take it out of the growings you can always find Osiris there.

I never actually owned a dog. surprised
But our neighbors owned a Border Collie and an Australian shepherd and near all my friends own Labs of some sort or other.

Number 3 = clown colors?
I never thought of that. It was more "Hmmm... this looks like one of the Incredibles. Or a McDonalds promo..."

::luffs hearing about what other people think of colors::
xd I actually liked the Incredibles. 3nodding
I was mixed on it. I liked it and the plot but...
too many characters. They didn't have time to do anything with a lot of them.
That ice-guy in particular came across as "This is my black friend!"
And if I'd seen that movie as a kid I would have started crying at any large number of points. It really seemed more aimed at adults. Not just in content, but in plot. How many kids really get the concept of crippling enui and the fear of the "other woman"?

Ah, true, true, about the crying part. I saw it a while ago, so I don't remember it all, but I don't remember there being too many characters.. Although the ice guy maybe wasn't necessary, but he did save them at one point, didn't he? I remembered liking the Edna character. I thought she was hilarious. Again about the crying part, they couldn't make it PG-13 due to commercial reasons, so they had no choice but to make it PG, I s'pose.

Will that make a difference on the "observer"
or owner name.

Ice Guy mostly slowed down the giant robot, I think. With... I dunno. Ice.
I was really disappointed with the villan. He was just so... bland. Even when he was a raging psycho he was boring. Even his dramatic offscene death was boring (and not nearly as humourous or ironic as the writers seem to have hoped). Even his NAME was boring.
Although I love his "Mr. Incredible married Elasti-gal!? And got it on!" That confused an 8 year old deeply right there. "He did what? What's got it on?"
Edna, I loved. The fact that she had the voice of the director was just wonderful.
Ah, the crying scenes. There were so many. It was like retro Disney where you traumatize the kids while you entertain them. The montauge of people dying horrible through capes, the "terminated" scene, the "Oh! I found a CORPSE!" scene, the "my whole family is dead!" scene, "Kids, people want to kill all of us. Remember, they want us DEAD" scene... and frankly as a kid I would have totally burst into tears with the scene where all the weapons opened fire on the baby model in its little outfit. But that would have been for reasons no one, including myself would have gotten.

xp At least the villian didn't just come out of nowhere. But yes, Disney is ebil. I never liked them. Although I have a strange fascination with Robin Hood. whee Disney really has a lot of underlying.. themes. xd But I love Pixar's animation skillz0rz.
