No no, it's not you 'got involved in a car accident', it's 'some dumbass ran the light and hit me' xd
You even had a big guard thing (kangaroo bumper?? o_O) in the front too! Guess it wasn't strong enough sweatdrop
Looks like some serious damage though, especially if your engine moved (meaning it probably snapped some motor mounts, if not twisted the mounting points themselves... which is bad because it would be a frame problem). If it's FWD, there's a lot more to repair, and a lot more than might never be the right way ever again (as in most accidents where the front takes damage, other things don't seem to fall into place the right way ever again... like doors, the hood, etc).

well... the lorry hit the front left side of my car... even if my kangaroo bumper was strong enough... it wouldn't help much being in front isn't it? sweatdrop And yeah we call those kangaroo bumpers in M'sia O: it sorta looks like a kangaroo's pouch and mostly newbies have them in fear of bumping into people's car when they drive XD;; (yeah, my dad put it on my car for that reason...;;; ) the extra bumper was bent in and crushed my plate number in half... I think it helped in terms of supporting the entire front of my car in place, cuz it's made out of steel O:

Oh, so that bumper in the front is usually completely flat against the front of the car? See, what you need are some serious brush guards to go along with it (which cover the corners wink ). Makes it look like a rally car to me xd
*pats kyou* Parents are always so worrisome... whee But at least it probably helped somewhat. Since your car is only a year old, it's a unibody, so your front end probably could've taken a lot more damage from that truck (whats a lorry, by the way?).

I'm glad I drive a tank... I've only been in one accident so far, and thats when I slid down an offramp in downtown Los Angeles and rear-ended some asian guy in an older Ford Taurus. Only bent the metal stuff and broke the plastic crap in the front of mine... but his looked a little... 'crooked' xd

And talk about luck with vehicles... I just got a message from a friend of mine who's car died today gonk So I guess I'm off to help figure out whats wrong with it whee

I drive a '91 Chevy Astro ext. Good old-fashioned steel with minimal plastic crap on it 3nodding And surprisingly, from the information I've seen, it's actually lighter than the newer model years xd Might bit heavy altogether, but once I get the funds I'm dropping in a nice V8 to couple with my racing transmission mrgreen ...then maybe forced induction... <.< It's like a truck, but faster and more utilitarian! whee
