- “I remember the day the world ended and it was exactly as I had always warned. The residents of New Haven never listened to me
then. No one ever did, really. Maybe if some of them had, there would be more people alive right now...” Kitchi Grey began bitterly.
The twenty seven year old always told the people he put up for the night his view on the day the virus called Necrogenesis hit the
populace.
“They thought that the virus was a new plague brought in by someone overseas. But I knew even then that it had to be something
the government or some sorta group brought about. When I was in the army, I saw my fair share of things that no one ever should.
The people who would listen to my stories said that I was just experiencing ‘post-traumatic stress disorder’. That’s just propaganda
against me – lies that have been told to cover up the truth they don’t want spread!”

- The couple exchanged a look that said they weren’t quite sure he had everything up there, but they kept
quiet in hopes that he would finish his rambling and walk them to the end of the town. As he continued,
the woman gripped the man’s arm as if she were more afraid of Kit than she was of the zombies.
“As the virus spread throughout the first town, the armed forces were called in to try and control the situation.
That worked for about a week before one guard dropped his attention and he was jumped. When the order
came in with authorization to shoot to kill, it was already too late – the soldiers were all victims to the disease.”
“The virus then spread throughout the state and the Center of Disease Control was called in to see if
they could contain it. When that news broke, everyone in New Haven started to wear masks- as if that
could change anything!- but carried on their normal lives. While they were playing make believe that
everything would be fine, I was hunkered down in my shelter.”
“The CDC helped as much and as long as they could but there was no hope, really. It was out of control
before they even got involved. I remember hearing the news reports about the states surrounding it getting
over ridden. It was on the other coast so it was still several days before the virus reached us. But even
then, it wasn’t long until the television stations quit airing. The radio ran for longer – I think, some
stations are still running and probably will until the people who are hiding in them are gone. Anyways,
I've heard that the other countries have been overtaken by the virus as well.”
Kitchi was silent a long, long time before he spoke again. He seemed to be mourning the loss of so many
lives for what he considered an experiment gone wrong. When he finally spoke again, he was subdued.
During the moments of silence, he’d be surveying to make sure that there weren’t any zombies around.
“When the virus hit this town, many were lost but some of us are still out there. I only really go out to
make sure people get on safely or to refill my generators. While I go out, sometimes I see a few familiar
faces, but for the most part we keep to ourselves. It’s not safe to stay outside for too long. Besides,
none of them like knowing I was right this particular time.”
“I hear tale that the disease is evolving so you two should be careful on your way south. Watch out for
these new types – I’m calling them Berserkers – I hear they hide in plain sight with the Meat Puppets
and strike when you least expect it. And there’re the Howlers who have this paralyzing shriek. This nice
guy who stayed with me last week said he heard of this zombie that follows you until it catches you.
So I’d want to be a little more careful and avoid areas that are too populated.”
When he got to the edge of the town, he wished them both a safe journey and good luck. Kit knew
that it was more than likely that it would be the last time he saw them, possibly the last time he saw
anyone. Fewer people were spending the night at his bunker, despite the multitude of signs urging
survivors to seek shelter at someplace safe.
When he was further down the road, he heard a scream in the distance behind him. He thought about
going back and helping, but by then it would be too late. If they were still alive, there was no chance
that they had escaped the attack unbitten or scratched. And Kitchi couldn’t chance the possibility
of being swarmed. There was one thing worse than death, and that was being infected.

- New Haven was a medium sized suburb not too far from a large city. Things before the
outbreak were peaceful- people knew most of their neighbors by face or by reputation.
There was a sense of calm about the city. After the outbreak, things obviously changed for
the worst. Neighbors who weren't eaten or infected became wary of one another, often
keeping to themselves as much as possible.
There is a hospital, a mall, a sheriff's department, a fire station, an EMS station, several
housing complexes, an apartment complex, a grocery store, a pawn shop, a gun store,
a railroad station, a gas station, a park, a restaurant called Double Wok, a restaurant called
Big Al's Taco Barn, a restaurant called Lizzie's Diner, and a restaurant called Radfi's
Indian Cuisine.

- The surviving residents of New Haven are a sturdy bunch. Many of the the survivors have
become weary when strangers are involved, preferring to stick to small groups to defend
themselves easily. Many have known the loss of someone personal and it's certainly
taken it's toll...

- There are five distinct classes of survivors - each with their own strengths and weaknesses.
≈ SCOUTxxxxxxxx ˟xx ˟xx ˟
Unlike the rest of the classes, Scouts don't have something that will easily dispatch a zombie. This class carries flare guns,
glow sticks, rations and other supplies items. They are the speediest of the survivor types and they often run ahead to scout
out their surroundings for therest of their group. Always in the company of one or more survivors, Scouts need the firepower
of one of their colleagues to finish a mission successfully.
⁂ SURVIVALISTxx- ˟xx ˟xx ˟
This class is all about cunning and resourcefulness. Survivalists create their own weapons from items that they find in the
wasteland of New Haven. Molotov cocktails and trip wires to a flamethrower - you name it; they can make it.
✚ MEDIC xxxxxx-- ˟xx ˟xx ˟
These healers don't necessarily have any sort of medical training. They can be anyone from someone who has first aid skills
to a doctor who had an established practice before the outbreak. Doctors and medical supplies are in short supply, this is no
time to be picky! This class carries small weapons that can often be concealed - scalpels, small caliber guns, knives, etc.
❖ BRUTE xxxxxxx- ˟xx ˟xx ˟
This self explanatory melee class has all the basics for your assault needs. Crowbars, baseball bats, iron pipes, etc.
You want power? They got it.
⊕ GUNSLINGERxx ˟xx- ˟xx ˟
Almost all gun users fit into this class. Medium caliber guns to sniper rifles belong in this class; they are your most
versatile and basic class. You can't fend off the infected without guns!

- There are three stages available for each survivor. Each stage is RP required with a minimum of one paragraph a post
and fifteen posts per RP.
❶ I N E P Txxxxxxxxxxxxxx- ˟xx ˟xx ˟
At this stage your survivor knows little to nothing about actually surviving. The fact that they've made it this far is a miracle!
❷ I N T E R M E D I A T Exx ˟xx ˟xx ˟
Your survivor now knows the basics of scavenging and protection. They're not that skilled, but they've come a loooong way.
❸ V E T E R A Nxxxxxxxxxx- ˟xx ˟xx ˟
Your survivor is the top dog. They know anything and everything about New Haven and can easily handle themselves.
❹ T E R M I N A T O Rxxxx-- ˟xx ˟xx ˟
This special stage is reserved for those who have showed unwavering support and dedication to the shop. The requirements
remain a mystery until a player shows they are ready and worthy of this stage.

- Since the initial wave of infection, the virus has apparently mutated and different strains of the virus run rampant.
Zombies seem to be one of several different types, or 'classes'. Some are more dangerous than others, but all are
not to be ignored. Each zombie class is deadly in their own rights.

☢ MEAT PUPPETxx- ˟xx ˟xx ˟xxxx [Example]
The most common class of zombie that fall into the old stereotype: slow, stupid and easy to kill if they're in small groups. They can be taken out by any and all classes- even Scouts. Meat Puppets
can be startled by loud noises and bright lights, and they are far more difficult to kill when aggravated.
☢ HOWLERxxxxxxx- ˟xx ˟xx ˟xxxx [Example]
This specific class of zombie has gone blind thanks to the virus' mutation. It makes up for it's impairment by having highly developed hearing. Howlers use echolocation to size up their
surroundings and potential prey. The scream they use for their echolocation is paralyzing. The Brute class is the survivor type that is most effective against a Howler. Guns are almost useless to the hardened skin of a Howler. Due to their thick skin and terrifying cry, Howlers are often the most loathed of all the specials. Survivors often find them most identifiable due to the sound of
their shriek which sounds similar to an owl's cry.
☢ TRACKERxxxxxxx ˟xx ˟xx ˟xxxx [Example]
This special class is very devoted to their cause- eating the delicious flesh of their former friends and loved ones. Trackers will follow their prey until they catch and infect them with their bite. Trackers have an acute sense of smell that often is compared to that of a blood hound. The Survivalist is the class most capable of dealing with a Tracker - a swift jet of fire or a Molotov cocktail to the head usually does the trick. A Tracker is most identifiable by its swift movements despite being on all fours.
☢ BERSERKER xxx- ˟xx ˟xx ˟xxxx [Example]
The toughest of the special zombie classes, the Berserker blends in with Meat Puppets until the time is right. This class reacts quickly to any provocation, unlike the other classes that can be fended off if dealt with properly. Meat Puppets don't openly welcome the chameleon-type Berserkers; the Meat Puppets let them blend in but they often act in packs. Berserkers prefer to work solo. That's the lone identifier this class has; it's hermit like quality. The Berserker is easily killed by a swift shot to the head courtesy of a Gunslinger.
