I loved those good ol' one hour to respond prompt style flatsales, though they seem to have been phased out. They were great at churning your nerves, forcing you NaNoWriMo style to barrel ahead on pure reaction and instinctual creativity, much like you would have to face in RP situations. Except even RPs today are stretched out, XD. I don't know. I'm not a huge advocate of the now-style prolonged flatsales, but certainly it works in the favour of sanity, for not everyone is up and active at the same exact hour, nor can most react efficiently enough in such a situation. Stretched out flatsales allow for more "cheating" as I'd say, that is to say, peer editing, the ability to really mull over a topic in great detail before carefully selecting fanciful, floaty words to describe simple actions or details, yadda yadda, XB. But I'm so guilty of that meself, so who am I to judge? Certainly no one! domokun

I'm a minority except for when it comes to scholarships. Which is sort of lame.

My cousins count as hispanic, though, 'cuz my uncle is Jewban. (=a Jew from Cuba. Best. Minority. Ever. Just because of the name.)

I remember legends one hour flats. They had better entries than some of the stuff you see today because it really did force you to think fast and get out that raw creativity. From the ashes also had 30 minute flats and those usually turned out well. heck shaolin woods flats don't last long and you still get good responses there too.

On this one one-hour prompt-based flat, I got so nervous, I had trouble typing since my hands were shaking so bad. My brain was rushed, so I just submitted some crappy entry xD;

On long-term prompt flatsale, I tend to write mine up the night before it's needed xD; I usually get my creative spark at night.
