Yep! People could get the wrong idea completely! You could make the mistake of thinking that one of your friends has a boyfriend, when they really don't! (Also, you could think that Shelley is Mandy's gay "boyfriend" when in reality, they're best friends! A very bad mistake, I think, especially if Shelley is really straight.)
