((Yeah, his dad called and offered to come over with food. So of course we weren't going to turn it down! And then we realized that our kitchen was a mess, and that it would be really nice if we could all... sit at the table! Like civilized folk! So we cleaned.

And now I am very full. Yum yum yum.))

I'm back. Thank goodness there's no infection and everything looks good. I was given a prescription for tylenol 3s for the pain and was told the pain should be gone by Tuesday.

Jimmy and I have eaten at the table a few times, but this is the first time since we moved (at the end of August...) that the table has been COMPLETELY cleared off. And there was room for four people to sit around it and eat.


edit: Good thing there's no infection, Kiki. That would be really unpleasant. ;-;

Chuckling a bit, Darrien couldn't help but wonder if it truly was his lucky day. "It seems like we fit together like pieces to a puzzle, my dear. And puzzles amuse me," he said grinning once more. Amunet had more brains than most females, which he was sure of. She intrigued him which didn't happen quite often. Now, the question was, how far would this go down the rabbit hole? "But of course, solving them is always the best part."

With a little twitch, his tail wiggled its way up and around her waist, comforting her. It moved itself side to side ever so gently. "Why is it you haven't made many friends, Amunet?" Darrien suddenly asked, not knowing what made him do so. But after he did, he was curious. She seemed so wonderful, it was strange that no one ever tried to claim her before.

She smiled, "Puzzles are one of my favorite things. I look forward to figuring you out."
She nestled herself into his embrace and relaxed in his arms. When he asked about why she hadn't made friends she looked quietly at the ground. She felt ashamed but decided to tell him anyway. "Well. It's because I didn't really want to hang around with the other females. They're all silly and all they really think about is impressing boys. They always wanna look cute and giggle and watch the boys work out. I want to talk about other things, like the beauty of nature and play games like chess. I love strategy and they just didn't get it. It isn't that i didn't like them, we just didn't share the same interests." She felt so exposed and so embarrassed by this she just stared at the ground.

They're in the dryer now. I really just don't want to go to work XD I'm not technically on the schedule so I could just not go and not have to call in or anything.

Naw, i went and had dinner and showered and went to my boyfriends, lol i would have replied sooner but i somehow missed that post.

Pulling away for just a moment, Darrien reached a paw up to gently grasp her chin. He tugged lightly enough to make her face him so he could gaze into her eyes. "Now you just sound silly," he said while smirking, before adding quickly, "and I don't mean that in a bad way!" His paw trailed from her jaw line up to her temple, and he brushed a few strands of hair away from her face. "You don't need to be embarrassed, which I know you are. I can tell just the way you're acting," he said softly, smiling at her reassuringly.

"Girls will be girls. Most of them are quite immature, and some are not. Males are the same way, which I'm sure you could figure out." Again his tail wrapped itself around her tightly, attempting to comfort her once more. "Amunet," he whispered. "If you're not normal, than neither am I. We share a fair amount of similar interests, and that's only including the few you've just named!" Pulling her close and holding her again, he snuggled into her hair a bit and purred. "Don't ever be embarrassed for who you are in front of me."

After a moment, he pulled away again and settled just next to her. Darrien was afraid he was getting too close, and didn't want to make her uncomfortable.
