Darrien thought of the possible things he could tell her, which turned out to be a semi-long list. "Well, let's see," he said slowly, deciding what to say first. "I don't really remember my parents to well. Once my father decided I was old enough, he booted me out of the house. And Mum never argued with it since she practically worshiped my father." Quickly, he glanced over to see if Amunet was truly listening. "Other than those two, I don't have any family members, that I can think of anyway. I came to this area to hope to make some new friends. Lucky for me, I ran into you," he said, pausing a moment to show her his best smile.

"Um, what else..." If he continued, he was afraid he'd babble until the reached the orchard. "How about we take turns instead?" he asked her. "I'll tell a little bit, and then you. That seems fair to me." Still holding her hand, he continued walking slowly towards their destination.

Amunet smiled warmly at him, blushing slightly at his comment of meeting her.

"Wow, you were young when you left home."
She listened intently, wanting to know more, he was fascinating. When he said he wanted to know about her she blushed again.
"Well um, I've been on my own for a long time too. I don't really remember my parents. I have no family that I know of. I like to sit and read quietly, or watch the stars and clouds. But I've never really had very many friends."

She looked around and they were in the orchard. She looked up at him and smiled, still holding his paw, it was so warm and soft.
"Well that was until I met you."
She blushed again.
"I'm glad I met you."

I hate that they didn't send everyone an email saying the damn school was closed. >_< If my mom hadn't been watching the news and saw that the college was closed today, Ithi and I would've driven an hour and a half in shitty weather just to find out it was closed. Ugh.
