Welcome to Extrasensory, a Pokemon breedables shop.

We chose to give the Pokemon here a somewhat realistic depiction. The same holds true for a few roleplaying aspects.

Just like with any other creature, mankind can work together with pokemon, developing strong bonds of friendship through mutually offered protection.
However, human and pokemon can also clash in fierce and deadly competition for space, food and resources.

The stories in this shop are told from both sides.

General Rules


• Follow Gaia TOS.
  
• Make sure to read all of the first page. If you still have questions, ask in thread. If no one can answer, PM the mule.
  
• Respect everyone in the thread. That means no fighting or drama. Take it to PMs instead. If someone is really bugging you, PM Pandaphilic as a last resort.
  
• PM the mule for shop related stuff, don't PM individual staff about shop-related issues unless you have permission from them to do so, or it is an important issue.
  
• Don't steal the art. That means also no editing and no coloring without permission from FireFoxNinetails or Pandaphilic. Lines are provided in the Pokedex to color references for Extrasensory only.
  
• Keep advertisements in your signatures.
  
• Do not beg, whine, or ask for free Pokemon. This includes bribing owners for their pets.
  
• Do not resell your Pokemon. PM the mule if you wish to rehome a pokemon.
  
• Do not discourage others from buying/bidding, or use guilt tactics.
  
• Do not edit or delete posts during games, battles, or sales in the thread or guild. That's cheating!
  
• Do not RP in the thread. You can RP short actions for your pokemon, but take it to the guild/PM/messenger if it spans multiple pages. It discourages people from wanting to chat.

  RP Rules
  
  
• No God-modding, which means no controlling someone else's Pokemon without explicit permission.
  
• No glory-hogging, which means your character is the best at everything and everyone else should bow down at their feet. Make them realistic.
  
• Don't use Pokemon that don't exist. If you haven't won or purchased a Pokemon from this shop, don't just make one up and start RPing it.
  
• You're welcome to RP as a character without a Pokemon until you get one though. :3
  
• Remember that Pokemon can't communicate verbally with humans.
  
• Psychic trainers must be approved before RPing. Try to keep telepathic communications to a minimum. If the Pokemon does not have a psychic ability, they will not be allowed to communicate telepathically!
  
• Do not kill player characters, or permanently disfigure them unless you have permission to.
  
• Don't just barge into a running roleplay. Ask if you may join. Likewise, try to give everyone a chance to RP :]

Q. My pokemon evolved, but now his markings look different! What happened?

• The markings may not carry on in a completely accurate way when a Pokemon evolves.
  However, if you're not happy with your new markings, PM the mule and we can talk it out :3


Q. How do I get a Pokemon?

• If you wait patiently in the thread enough, you will encounter one of our "events" in which we give away pokemon through
  all sorts of methods such as flatsales, raffles, auctions, etc. These events will usually be announced on the thread title.


Q. How many Pokemon can I own? Can I co-own?

• As many as you want. No co-owning.


Q. How about legendaries? Can there even be more than one Mew? And if so, can I own more than one?

• Yes, there can be more than one of each legendary species, and you can own more than one if you want.


Q. Do I have to host the image?

• No, we will host the image for you. Forevarz. But, you should save a copy of your cert/uncert in case you lose the link.


Q. Can I get a refund for whatever reason?

• No refunds.


Q. I always see such-and-such Pokemon! Why don't you sell different ones? There are more than 400!

• Our lineartist, MicroOndas, is busy with her own RL stuff and it will probably take us a while to template the 150+ lines we already have.
  There WILL be new lines and pokemon released though, you just have to be patient and let our artists work at their own pace.


Q. I don't want my Pokemon anymore, what can I do?

• You can keep it until foreverz because we won't take it away. However, if you want to give someone else a chance,
  give it back to the shop and I'll put it up for adoption or some other free event. You cannot resell it, however. PM the mule if this comes up


Q. Are you hiring?

• There will be a very bright and obnoxiously colored link in the news post to a hiring thread if we are ever hiring. Until then, please don't ask.

You want a pokemon, huh?

Events

This will be the main and most frequent method to get a Pokemon, so keep your eyes out for events! The types of events we hold are:

RP Events, where all the Pokemon are free to obtain, and they only thing you need to do is RP!

• You do not need a Pokemon to enter this event. If one is needed, one will be provided for you.
  
• They are not contests, so don't be discouraged if you aren't the best role player out there.
  
• They have storylines, and you will usually find and battle Pokemon. After the Pokemon faints, you will be able to throw a Pokeball and try to catch it.
  
• Do not delete posts for any reason during dice rolling.
  
• You must follow all RP rules, and any additional rules for the event.


Normal Events, where you have your raffles, auctions, games, and a freebie, or two.

• For Auctions: Items are accepted at 90% of lowest, or average market price. They must be worth at least 100k and be easy to sell items; EIs, items from CIs, or MCs.
  Maximum of 5 items!
  
• For raffles: Items are not accepted at all.
  
• Do not discourage others from bidding in auctions, or participating in games.
  
• Send trades promptly for raffles, and auctions.
  
• You can only win one prize in raffles.
  
• Do not delete posts during a game, and wait for directions.








Customs

If you can't get a pet during an event, or game, every once in a while we will open customs.
There will be an announcement when they are open, so please don't bug the staff about when
they will be opening. Slots will usually be given out either in a raffle, or colorist's preference.


• Customs do not include lineart edits, line art edits are bribe-only.
  
• No cosplays. Extrasensory is giving pokemon a more realistic spinoff and we really don't want to see pokemon in pants with funky hairdos.
  
  • You can do a cosplay if it really fits the pokemon such as a meowth based on a cat character/your real life cat.
  
  
• Staff reserves the right to reject a custom if it looks too unnatural
  
• Color-variation pokemon are not available through customs! They are bribes/event only.
  Meaning, no blue Pikachus, red Ninetales, or pink Growlithes with purple stripes etc.
  
• Pokemon can be purchased at any stage.
  
• For now, you may only ask for a Pokemon that has been templated.

Custom Pricing
For Pokemon with normal/normal coloration:


• Common: 40k.
  
• Uncommon: 60k
  
• Rare: 100k
  
• Legendary: 1 mil


For rarer coloration (add to prices above) :


• Shiny recessive gene: Add 20k
  
• Color recessive gene: Add 50k
  
• Shiny dominant gene: Add 500k










• Bribes!
  
  
  • Bribes will be opened...whenever we feel like it
    
    • We will inform everyone about when they will open through both the thread title and news post
      
    • Do not send us a bribe form otherwise.
    
    
  • Almost anything is allowed: Normal Pokemon, shinies, color variations, untemplated lines, and lineart edits.
    However, we will still not allow ridiculous amounts of edits. Keep in mind that Extrasensory is not an edit-heavy shop.
    
  • Don't let the prices intimidate you! In bribes PRICES ARE NOT SET, and I might accept cheaper bribes too! Don't be scared to offer.
    
    • Generally, bribes cost around twice the price of regular custom prices, but you usually must offer more if you
      want lineart edits, or want a pokemon that has not been templated yet.
    
    
  • If your bribe was accepted, you will be notified.

Basic Setting

Pokemon and humans have had a long history of both competition and cooperation. From the well-known regions of Kanto and Johto to even the most obscure and barren land of Orre, the
lives of Pokemon and humans have deeply been intertwined. While the nature of this relationship is quite murky and still undefined, it is inescapable.

Humans and Pokemon share the same land. They will always be forced to interact: to hate, to love, to fight, to compromise, and to coexist. It is up to both trainers and humans to further
define this relationship that they share.

Most wild Pokemon bear mistrust and hatred towards humans who have sometimes regarded themselves as "conquerors" with their advanced technology and traitorous Pokemon
companions. However, there are some that look longingly at the peace and love that some domesticated Pokemon and humans share.

Most humans have become comfortable with their position as "trainers," often not thinking about the freedom that their Pokemon have lost. After all, wasn't the good life-- the life of a
domesticated Pokemon-- the best? However, perhaps there are some trainers who understand that look of longing that shines in their Pokemon's eyes.

Region after region, humans have invaded lands formerly exclusively owned by wild Pokemon and claimed acres upon acres. Lands once free of steel and concrete have now become urban
centers. As the amount of untamed lands dwindled, hostility towards humans increased in the remaining lands.

Zatao.

Explorers granted this name to one of the few remaining regions that have not had major human contact. Pokemon have been reported to be especially hostile in this region, thwarting most
attempts at settlement. Trainers of every kind have been invited to help with the further exploration of this region...at their own risk.






Past RP Event/Zatao History Summary

The first settlement in Zatao was the city of Inhinx, located in the snowy northern region of the continent. Shortly after, humans set foot onto the southeastern region of Zatao and built the port
town of Katarina.

It seemed that the settlement of the new region was progressing at a good speed...until a caravan of trainers were sent to investigate the lack of communication from the citizens of Inhinx.
They found a horrible sight; an abandoned city that had been overrun by a pack of resentful Pokemon. Inhinx had been the site of a lucrative diamond mine, and the Pokemon were
exploited to help mine the valuable jewels. Eventually, their treatment had grown so inhumane that the Pokemon revolted and Inhinx was no more.

Shortly after the discovery, trainers continued to push for expansion and built the city of Motterosa to the northwest of Katarina. It was ignored for several years until news of an Eevee
swarm attracted new settlers. Unfortunately, it was simply a ploy from Team Rocket who had used the city as a base of operations. The trainers were able to force the Rockets out of the city,
but not without much destruction to the surrounding land. Team Rocket escaped, and escaped with a bang.

Team Rocket seems to have been gaining several bases of operations in Zatao, as they were sighted earlier in an abandoned mine located in the northwest region of Katarina. Trainers
had been sent to explore it and had not only found members of Team Rocket, but also a Mew lurking deep in the mines.

There was a thick mist that enveloped the Zatao region in minutes and effectively cut off all communication with the region. Those who tried to enter the mist found themselves in the dream world and caught within Jirachi's wish. Their memories started fading, as well as the world they knew along with it. Through some freak storm, they found themselves in Jirachi's mansion, where they had to seek out the wishmaker to set things right. The trainers realized in the end that the mansion was an illusion, set up by a Zorua who wished to protect Jirachi.

Advertisements of a free cruise to Felicity Island, reached many in Zatao. It was just a few day's travel time off the coast of Katarina, so trainers and grunts alike took this opportunity to relax and enjoy a nice summer vacation. Those that dropped off their Pokemon at the Daycare Center on the ship found themselves with an extra mouth to feed, thanks to a careless caretaker. While on safari on the island, the group intruded on bidoof territory, and was chased by an angry mob of them. When they were starting to think they were going to be trampled to death, the ground beneath them broke, and they landed in an old underground temple. The whole island is a breeding ground for bidoofs, and the group fight their way out, even encountering guards and the king.

[Cities]


• (1) Inhinx: The first settlement in Zatao, but it is quite desolate now. Rumors say that the villagers caused there own doom by giving into their greed when they discovered rich
  silver mines in the region. The Pokemon who were forced to extract the silver for the villagers rebelled due to inhumane working conditions and the villagers were either slayed or fled.
  
  
• (2) Katarina: More than a year after the discovery of Zatao, the pioneers found an ideal place for a bustling city. Located in the southeast on a large, fertile plain, is Katarina. It features
  apartment buildings, a Pokemon Center, Hotels, Police Station, Pokemart and a harbor alive with activity. Trainers and the like arrive everyday in groups.
  This is where your pokemon adventure will most likely start.
  Gym Leader: Luna (Played by FireFoxNinetails)
  
  
• (3) Motterossa: Located in Seatence valley, at the foot of the central Rinaul mountains, Motterossa is populated by people who want something more peaceful than the energetic
  Katarina. Small, simple abodes, chilly mountain winds, and rich scenery, await here for those looking to make a discreet living. Team Rocket used to be a large underground force in this city,
  but they seem to have abandoned it...for now.
  Gym Leader: Missing

[Other Places to Explore]


• Pilkiras Plain: The large grassland Katarina was built on. Usually, tame Pokemon live on this soft, verdant field. There are little trees, but plenty of berry
  bushes that attract small Pokemon.
  
  
• Rinaul Mountains: A large chain of mountains north of Katarina, and extending all the way to the Zatao grasslands. Underneath this stone range, there is a lair of
  caves and tunnels collectively called "Derrusk's Lair," that go from the south of Rinaul to central Rinaul (near Seatence Valley).
  
  
• Xine's Peak: The snow-capped, highest mountain of Rinaul, and of Zatao. A large variety of flying type Pokemon are found here.
  
  
• Saxukai Desert: To the south of Katarina, Saxukai is a mostly barren land.
  
  
• Clockwork Wasteland: A small oasis surrounded by tall stone ridges. The sun makes the shadow of the peaks loom ominously over this fresh piece of land,
  where precious water and fruit can be found. There are rarely any Pokemon spotted here.
  
  
• Seatence Valley: Winds frequently run through this immense valley. Flowers are plentiful in this picturesque area where all sorts of small Pokemon can be
  seen. Meowths are especially fond of fishing in the stream that runs through the bed of flowers.
  
  
• Howling Forest: A tightly knit gathering of trees, oddly placed in the middle of Seatence. The trees are so close together that the forest is unusually dark, which
  makes this place attractive to ghost Pokemon. Smalls groups of Growlithe also live in this secluded space. Their howling gives this woodland its name. A while ago, a swarm of vulpix,
  aggravated by a passing by caravan of trainers, had set the forest ablaze. Although the trainers were able to put out the fire, charred trees in the western part of the forest serve as a reminder of
  what had passed.
  
  
• Carona Coast: A small bay with cliffs that overlook a cold, dark ocean. A wet, violent wind blows through the coast all year.
  
  
• Zatao Grasslands: The grasslands have a peaceful air. They are quiet, still, and mostly empty.
  
  
• Moteore Freezeland: The Northernmost part of Zatao that is covered in snow year-round. Mountains dominate this landscape of frozen forests and icy lakes.
  Even though the climate is harsh, many Pokemon still thrive in this icy winterland.
  
  
• Kesfas Mountains: A long range of mountains that runs across the frozen lands of the North. They are still mostly unexplored.
  
  
• Spirit Forest: The forest where Inhinx is located. The trunks of the trees are pale and fragile. Strange calls can be heard when the night draws close, but
  strangely, no Pokemon have ever been spotted here.
  
  
• The Abandoned Mines: These mines, just west of Howling Forest, are lit up with softly glowing pink crystals that have never been spotted anywhere else.
  It was rumored that a Mew used to live here.

When you get your pokemon, you must give it a "specialty" of either WILD, BATTLE, SHOW or COMPANION. Different specialties grant different RP advantages and disadvantages.

Wild Pokemon: Slightly more aggressive or free-spirited than others, wild pokemon live independently without trainers. Because they must rely on only
themselves, they tend to be a bit quicker to learn than average pokemon.

Advantages


• Gain battle experience faster than normal
  
• You may register "gangs" of 2+ pokemon and get edits for a SIMPLE trademark item like a scarf if you get enough RP experience (10+ RPs as a gang).
  
  
Disadvantages


• Cannot challenge gyms nor enter official pokemon contests/races.



Battle Pokemon: Those that are trained to fight in order to gain the strength to protect their trainer. However, some do fight simply to enjoy the pure adrenaline rush that a
battle grants to satisfy the innately wild instincts that domestic pokemon possess.

Advantages


• Eligible for Gym Challenges/Pokemon Coordinator Contests/Pokemon Races
  
• Gain battle experience faster than normal
  
• Eligible for minor scar/battle damage edits, but ineligible for accessory edits
  
  
Disadvantages


• Automatic -1 (out of 30) points in coordinator contests



Show Pokemon: Slightly more sheltered than the rest, show pokemon spend most of their time as eye candy. These pokemon are gifted with slightly more
grace, beauty, and charm than other pokemon.

Advantages


• Automatic +1 (out of 30) points in coordinator contests
  
• Eligible for a minor accessory edit when you place in top 2 of a contest
  
• Eligible to challenge gyms/compete in pokemon races but ineligible for scar edits.
  
  
Disadvantages


• It takes longer to gain battle experience.



Companion Pokemon: These pokemon have no real specialty, but they do loyally follow around their human companion, willingly or grudgingly.
Basically a jack of all trades, but a master of none.

Advantages

• Eligible for EVERYTHING (gym challenges/edits/etc) except joining wild pokemon gangs
  
  
Disadvantages

• N/A

Every character must choose a general profession path to walk upon. Although your character may be on the trainer or healer path, you can still give him/her minor titles such as
"bicyclist" or "athlete."

Your character may have a max of two professions. For example, you could have a "pokemon ranger" type character who has the professions of "officer" and "watcher."

Your character may change professions once every two months through the correct forms in the character registration thread.

Every Pokemon, even Pokemon of the same species, has some distinctive features. Usually, a Pokemon will differ from one another by its markings.

Pokemon have dominant and recessive genes. Dominant genes are the genes that are mostly expressed-- they cover the vast majority of the pokemon's body.
Recessive Genes are rarer and may be expressed as minor markings.
Eye color is independent of these genes, and can be any color, regardless of coloration.

There are 6 main types of colorations in this shop. They are listed below from least to most rare.






Normal [Dominant: Normal, Recessive: Normal] - All markings are in colors of the original pokemon; no colors are added. Colors may be a
few shades lighter or darker but not so that it turns too black/white. Main bulk of body must stay original color (ie: Just because swablu has white wings does not mean its whole body can be
white, its main body must still mostly be blue).

Examples (Click on Images):
This swablu has dark blue markings; main body is lighter than average swablu.
This Pidgeot has additional unique black markings on the eyes/tail featers which is okay because pidgeot originally had black in its normal color scheme.



Normal with Shiny Recessive [Dominant: Normal, Recessive: Shiny] - Markings contain a SMALL amount of the shiny color scheme. Offspring have a
small chance of being a shiny if bred with other pokemon that have the trait.

Examples (Click on Images):
Shiny rampardos usually has red markings. This one has some red stripes on the normal blue coloration.


Normal with Color-Variation Recessive [Dominant: Normal, Recessive: Color-Variation] - Markings contain colors unnatural to the pokemon, but in small
amounts. The whole pokemon's body cannot be a new color, but it can have markings or shells/tails/small bodyparts of another color. Offspring have a small chance of being a color-
variation if bred with other pokemon that have the trait.

Examples (Click on Images):
This Lapras has a pink shell instead of the normal colored shell, main body is still a normal lapras coloration.
This Ponyta it has some light pink spots but its whole body is not predominatly pink.

Shiny [Dominant: Shiny, Recessive: Shiny] - Pokemon can have any color that they have as a shiny pokemon. These colors can vary by a few shades
lighter/darker but not so much as they turn into a different color/black/white (unless those colors were originally on the pokemon).

Examples (Click on Images):
This shiny Jolteon's body is green (as typical of shiny jolteons), but with different shades of green all over.


Shiny with Color-Variation Recessive [Dominant: Shiny, Recessive: Color-Variation] - Markings contain colors unnatural to the pokemon but in small amounts.
The whole pokemon's body cannot be a new color, but it can have markings or shells/tails/small bodyparts of another color. Offspring have a small chance of being a color-variation if bred with
other pokemon that have the trait.

Examples (Click on Image):
This swablu has the normal yellow shiny coloration but has the color-variation recessive genes because of its red cheeks since red isn't a natural color on shiny swablu.


Color Variation [Dominant: Color-Variation, Recessive: Color-Variation] - Pokemon has colors that are unnatural to its species but you can also use
natural, or shiny colors alongside if you want. Basically the pokemon's color/markings can be ANYTHING.

Examples (Click on Image):
Gengars are purple, not gray so this coloration is not natural and thus a color variation.
Although Jolteons have white in their color scheme, they usually don't have it for their whole body. This would be considered a color variation.

Wondering how to evolve your Pokemon?


• Evolution by LEVEL: Pokemon that are in their first stage, and has more than one stage, can evolve by level. Usually, they will evolve through time, without any activity
  from you. You don't have to RP or even post in the thread. A pokemon that is RPed will evolve faster. If the Pokemon has 3 stages, it will only evolve to the second stage by level, and it can't
  reach the final one without RPing. It takes 5 normal RPs, or 10 battles (equivalence of 2 battles per normal RP) to get to the final stage, let us know of your activity in the Pokemon Evolution Request thread.
  
  
• Evolution by ITEM: Whenever a Pokemon needs an item to evolve, it must be purchased from the Pokemart. After purchasing the item, the evolution process will take a few
  days. This includes Pokemon that evolve by TRADING. Visit the Pokemart here. PLEASE CHECK THE POKEMART FOR INFORMATION ON WHAT ITEMS EVOLVE WHAT POKEMON.
  
  
• Evolution by FRIENDSHIP: To evolve this Pokemon, RP is mandatory, regardless of how many stages it has.
  Pokemon that have 3 stages can only evolve to their third by RP. Each RP must be at least 15 posts (at least 5 should be made by YOU with your
  pokemon doing something outside the pokeball) with each post being 2 sentences minimum. Battles that fit the minimum count in this, as well. RP
  events participation with the pokemon counts as one RP. A journal with a backstory for them that is at around 300+ words counts as one RP.
  It takes 5 RPs of any kind to get to the final stage, let us know of your activity here.
  If your pokemon has multiple evolutions, let us know which one you prefer.

Breeding doesn't require RP (although you get the perk of a cheaper price), and it's very simple, but there are some things that you should know.

Basics:


• Any two pokemon of the same egg group can breed
  
• Legendary pokemon CANNOT breed
  
• Pokemon must be at their fully evolved state to breed, unless they have been RPed (at least 5 RPs)
  
• Breeding costs 20k for RP-ed couples and 40k for non RPed couples (RP = 2+ RPs together)
  
• Each Pokemon pair will have 2 offspring.
  
• The babies can be ether the mother, or the father's species. At least one of the two parents must be templated in the new template style. (Pokemon that have been templated in the new style are indicated by an * in their name here. HOWEVER, if one of the parent species is a species that has not been templated to the new template style, the offspring will automatically be the species of the parent that is templated.
  
• If one Pokemon has an Everstone equipped, it will have a higher chance to pass on their species/markings.
  
• Sometimes a child of Pokemon of different species will be a little peculiar in its appearance and become a slight hybrid. However, is VERY rare.
  
• You can gift away your offspring but you may NOT sell them
  
• Slots will open at random. They will be announced in the title when slots open
