Diyos
With the ability to dig through rough exteriors with very little hassle, these tough skinned creatures are strong both on the inside and out. These humble creatures can hibernate for many days at a time, and are rarely seen above ground. They prefer living underground in their massive network of caverns and maze-like tunnels, with a large, deep village-cave at its core. They use brightly glowing emberstones and underflowers to light and decorate their homes, and an underground stream provides them with water.
Fahns
Fahns are humble creatures of the forest. These creatures are down to earth and very in tune with nature, their horns being able to sense the changes in the weather and predict it. Fahns are very family-oriented creatures and tend to be over-protective of their young. They seek the gentle protection of forests, choosing to live in groups among the trees and foliage despite the constant threat of Sabers to trick and surprise them. They have, however, discovered secret springs, groundcaves, and fruit bushes that no one else has ever seen.
Ferrs
Ferrs prefer the dry, arid climate of the sandy Eldrathorian desert as their home. Whether it be from their ancestors being shunned out of their society or their inherent sense of seclusion and privacy, they enjoy the desert's lonely, empty atmosphere. They rarely accept friends and denounce their families as soon as they're old enough. Ferrs do not willingly accept help from any other and showing any emotion is seen as a weakness to their people.
Fliffs
Fliffs prefer living on the mountains, making their homes whatever cavern in the rock that they can find. Despite the tops of the mountains usually being covered in ice and snow, the Fliffs will climb them-- they even use snow in most of their diet, ranging from frozen roots to berry snow slushies. Fliffs aren't extremely social, however, and some can be considered downright recluses.
Gryphs
Gryphs live on a large chunk of land that floats precariously above the rest of Eldrathor, their wings allowing them to take flight and dance upon the breeze. It consists of one large island with about five smaller islands spread out around it. It's located above a rocky, desolate area-- the island casts a huge shadow, and it's practically impossible for most vegetation to flourish. A small, ever-flowing waterfall on the floating island rains down into a lake underneath it. Despite their good fortune, they seem to look down on all other Eldrathorians and don't care that their island destroys all flora underneath.
Nyees
The Nyee are gentle, nurturing, and loving creatures that tend to have large families and are very dedicated to them. Nyees love to plant fruits and veggies, so they make their homes near the most fertile, irrigated land they can find. They have an innate sense to raise plants, so the easiest way to find one is to follow the flower trail they leave behind. A common place to find Nyees is in the cave-like trunks of giant carrot trees.
Pones
Pones live along a vast green plain that stretches along the coastline, and dips into a shallow valley in the center. The valley holds a very large lake that is rumored to be the paw print of a huge creature from long ago. The valley is sparsely dotted with berry trees that provide food and shade to the Pones, and the ocean provides a beautiful backdrop. They're extremely freedom-loving and won't tolerate any sort of impediment on what they may do or where they may go.
Sabers
Sabers are by far the most mischievous creatures in Eldrathor. The creatures of the deep forest are constantly planning and scheming different ways to trick other creatures of the land. If they're not planning they're hunting. Their sharp teeth have earned them the reputation for the best hunters in all of Eldrathor. Sabers are a motley crew of wanderers, living together when convenient but many preferring to keep to themselves.
Spires
Spires are sociable, enthusiastic, and pacifistic creatures of Eldrathor. To Spires, all creatures of Eldrathor are equal and deserve the same treatment-- they tend to be very diplomatic and will hear all sides of a story before passing judgment on anyone. Spires consider any good friends their family members, and would do anything in their power to help them. The Spires enjoy living near a gigantic waterfall that provides a relaxing atmosphere in which to live. The rocks have been carved into caves by glaciers long ago and are adorned with centuries' worth of soft cerulean moss. A gentle green glow seems to effervesce off the rocks at night.
Tyees
Tyees are the most innocent and friendliest creature in Eldrathor. They can live in many different areas, and they generally don't all gather in one spot like other species. Some groups prefer to live deep in caves to escape bad weather, while some enjoy living in tree tops. Some Tyees will live near Nyees' fertile lands, however, and some are absolutely addicted to an herb called Felspice.
