In the very beginning, there was only Jua, the Sun, and Mwezi, the Moon. Long, long ago, they found each other from across the vast sky and fell in love, swearing to be together forever. After much time passed with nothing to do but speak to one another, their love began to grow tired. Mwezi suggested they build themselves a home. Thus the Sun and the Moon worked together to build the land and the sea, creating vast canyons and soaring mountains, and, seeing what their combined creativity and skill had created, fell in love again. Time, however, is long and slow for those that never die, and soon Jua became restless once more. Although his wife Mwezi was content to shape the world in beautiful ways, he grew weary of the empty, lifeless landscape.
It was for this reason that Jua created the first Animals. In the beginning, all animals were made by Jua, the Sun. After some time, however, Mwezi saw her magnificent lands populated and enriched by his colourful birds and graceful creatures and saw once more the creativity and energy that had made her fall in love with the Sun god. They came together again and, overjoyed by his wife's praise, Jua suggested they create the greatest of the Animals with their combined talent. Like the Sun and Moon, the new creatures would be King and Queen of all the other animals, created out of love and harmony. When finally they were done, Jua and Mwezi placed them on the land they had created and called them the Children of the Gods. These were the first lions.
At first, the two gods could not have been happier with their collaboration. As time went on, however, Jua grew restless again. Wishing the lions to be more handsome and resplendent, Jua took the Sons and gave them a great golden mane in his own image. When Mwezi discovered what her husband had done to their Children without her permission, she was enraged. Out of anger for his betrayal of her trust, she decided to take the Daughters and change them too. To prove his love of simple beauty to be foolish, the Moon gave the Daughters swift movement and the ability to hide, as she herself often did behind clouds and trees.
When Mwezi showed her husband this and laughed in his face at how much more effective and functional her Daughters were than his Sons, he grew incredibly embarrassed and angry. Rather than resolve the argument, Jua fled to the other side of the world, stubbornly refusing to be in Mwezi's presence. Shocked by his childish behaviour, Mwezi grew even more annoyed at Jua. The more time they spent apart, the less and less they remembered of the times they had loved one another for their differences.
One day, bitter and sick of silence but unwilling to speak with the Children of the Gods, who reminded her too much of her estranged husband, Mwezi decided to make her own Children, exactly as she thought best. Lean, smart, fast and functional, the Children of the Moon were a race of lions who could survive with very little and placed no value in beauty. The glorious mane of the Sons was made thin and bedraggled in her Children, as a specific insult to the Sun. Thus the second lions came to be: the wanderers, the rogues, the Children of the Moon.
Jua was shocked to see these perversions on what he had come to consider his land. Even if he and Mwezi no longer spoke, the Children had been a creation and memory of love. By making her own Children, she had tarnished what little flicker of affection was left in him. Seeing their First Children out-manoeuvred by these faster, smarter counterparts, the Sun decided to take his wife's idea and made his own new lions. Massive, powerful creatures unlike any of the others made up the Children of the Son, the males of which boasted massive dazzling manes and great rippling muscles. No matter how the Children of the Moon schemed, the great lions were simply too strong to defeat. Thus the third lions came to be: the barbaries, the atlases, the Children of the Sun.
War raged. For every victory, there was a defeat, and the blood of the Three Children soaked the landscapes once carefully sculpted by Sun and Moon side by side. The Sun would swell over the horizon, speaking echoes and whispers into the ears of his Children: "You are the greater. You are the stronger. You are the true masters of this land." And the Atlas Lions would rush their smaller, weaker siblings and rip and tear until the night fell. Then the Moon would rise, and the echoes and whispers she spoke to her Children gave them courage and insight: "You are the smarter. You are the faster. You are the true masters of this land." And the Rogue Lions would use the cover of darkness to ambush and assassinate and the Children of the Sun would fall one by one.
And in the middle of it all were the First Children, deserted by Mother and Father and trapped in a blood feud that knew no end and knew no resolution. Day after day they begged Jua to calm his fiery temper, but he had ears only for the Children of the Sun. Night after night they begged Mwezi to warm her cold heart, but she had ears only for the Children of the Moon. Then, finally, on the dawn of another bloody day, the First Children came between their warring siblings and demanded they stop. Mwezi and Jua paused to hear, seeing the original Children of the Gods as if for the first time and remembering suddenly the great admiration and respect for one another that had spurred their creation.
But Mwezi could not forget that she had been the first to be wronged, or that it was Jua's stubbornness and immaturity that had deprived her of companionship these long, long centuries. In a sudden uprising of fury, she swore that the Children no longer concerned her and they could do as they wished - she would make a new creature, a creature far superior to any of the Children, especially the Children of the Sun, and when she had perfected it would release it into the world and have it wipe out every lion so that no remnant of her work with Jua was left behind. As she said this the dawn took over the horizon as the Sun leapt forward to try to see her, but Mwezi was gone in a flash, only her ominous words remaining.
From that moment the Sun and the Moon no longer spoke to the lions, and without their constant urging the Children soon grew weary of fighting. Over time war became an unsteady stalemate, and that then became peace. Now, to this day, the First Children, the Children of the Moon and the Children of the Sun live side by side with only occasional conflict.
This is how the story goes. Some hold it is nothing but a story, a tale to silence cubs that insist upon asking the "why?s" and "how?s" of the universe. The Moon and the Sun still refuse to be in each other's company, though... and while much time has passed since Mwezi's dark threat, there is always that lingering fear that it's more than just a story.

Lions are the main inhabitant of the Savannah, Unmoved and unpredictable they cover all parts of the lands.
When first born they are helpless relying on the care of their mother and father, and others of their prides.
But as they grow they grow independent and curious rulers in the making.
Stage 1 - Newborn male and female lines
~~~
Stage 2 - Cubs male and female lines
~~~
Stage 3 - Teens male and female lines
~~~~
Stage 4 - Adults (Will be 3 ways for adults to go)
Lions vary by three types, Normal Lions, just your average lion, Barbary lions, Far larger then the others, males manes also cover more of their body's. And Rouge Lions often smaller then both of the types, scruffier and often more tempered.
However pairing of any of the variations have been seen.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Size:
- Normal Adult Lions
Weights for adult lions range between 150–250 kg (330–550 lb) for males and 120–182 kg (264–400 lb) for females.
Head and body length is 170–250 cm (5 ft 7 in – 8 ft 2 in) in males and 140–175 cm (4 ft 7 in – 5 ft 9 in) in females; shoulder height is about 123 cm (4 ft) in males and 107 cm (3 ft 6 in) in females. The tail length is 90–105 cm (2 ft 11 in - 3 ft 5 in) in males and 70–100 cm in females (2 ft 4 in – 3 ft 3 in).
- Barbary Adult lions
Much larger then a normal lion, and stronger
- Rogue Lions
Faster then both, but not as strong
Habits:
Lions spend much of their time resting and are inactive for about 20 hours per day. Although lions can be active at any time, their activity generally peaks after dusk with a period of socializing, grooming, and defecating. Intermittent bursts of activity follow through the night hours until dawn, when hunting most often takes place. They spend an average of two hours a day walking and 50 minutes eating.
Hunting and diet
Lions are powerful animals that usually hunt in coordinated groups and stalk their chosen prey. However, they are not particularly known for their stamina they only run fast in short bursts and need to be close to their prey before starting the attack. They take advantage of factors that reduce visibility; many kills take place near some form of cover or at night. Typically, several lionesses work together and encircle the herd from different points. Once they have closed with a herd, they usually target the closest prey. The attack is short and powerful; they attempt to catch the victim with a fast rush and final leap. The prey usually is killed by strangulation. Smaller prey, though, may simply be killed by a swipe of a lion's paw.
The prey consists mainly of large mammals. Occasionally, they take relatively small species. Lions hunting in groups are capable of taking down most animals, even healthy adults.
Lions are capable of killing other predators, though they seldom devour the competitors after killing them.
They also scavenge animals either dead from natural causes (disease) or killed by other predators, and keep a constant lookout for circling vultures, being keenly aware that they indicate an animal dead or in distress.
Young lions first display stalking behavior around three months of age, although they do not participate in hunting until they are almost a year old. They begin to hunt effectively when nearing the age of two.
Social:
Prides, also loners however
Pride standing:
All cubs when born are in the same pride as their parents. There are cubs born to nomads(Loners)
Bought Pets:
A lion bought from sales that have no pride are automatically given a Nomad standing till a pride is found or made.
Lions are predatory carnivores who manifest two types of social organization. Some are residents, living in groups, called prides. Prides may range from a newly formed group to a large group. Male cubs are excluded from their maternal pride when they reach maturity.
The second organizational behavior is labeled nomads, who range widely and move about sporadically, either singularly or in pairs. Pairs are more frequent among related males who have been excluded from their birth pride.
The area a pride occupies is called a pride area, whereas that by a nomad is a range. The males associated with a pride tend to stay on the fringes, patrolling their territory.
Lionesses do the majority of the hunting for their pride, being smaller, swifter and more agile than the males, and unencumbered by the heavy and conspicuous mane, which causes overheating during exertion. They act as a co-ordinated group in order to stalk and bring down the prey successfully. However, if nearby the hunt, males have a tendency to dominate the kill once the lionesses have succeeded.
Both males and females defend the pride against intruders. Some individual lions consistently lead the defense against intruders, while others lag behind. Lions tend to assume specific roles in the pride. Those lagging behind may provide other valuable services to the group.

Rules:
Do not kill other peoples pets, Pets don't die unless decided different by owner and staff (staff has no right to just kill off a pet with out talking to you about it)
Do not rp with other peoples pets
These rules go for staff and customers
When doing an open RP in the main thread, be careful to not overlook others wanting to join in!
Roleplay is not required but highly encouraged.
We recommend that you use a color for each pet when roleplaying, especially when there is more than one pet in a post. This limits confusion as to who is doing what at any given time, but is not a bannable offense in any respect if you do not.
Roleplaying in different languages other than English is allowed as long as a translation is provided for anyone who can't speak that language.
Respect your partners and their feelings. This includes remembering that just because two pets may hate each other, doesn't mean the other owner hates you
(more to be added)
Savannah:
Savannas are often dry rain doesn't come often however the summer months bare the most and floods and monsoon rains begin. But many animals call this land their home. Savannas are flat plain like areas that stretch for miles. Savannas have a warm temperature year around.
Rain forests:
Rain forests like the savanna are warm year around however unlike that of the savanna they are wet year around. This is where most herbs and medicines also come from.
Snow:
Cold, snowy, windy best describes this land. It never unfreezes and temperatures are always low. Animal life is those fit to live through the cold and wind, and plant life is scarce.
Badlands:
Badlands are where the land has all but died. Littered with bones and stumps of trees very few animals call this land their home. However there are a few, animals here tend to be more skittish more hostile and more likely to attack.
Grasslands:
Grasslands are large, rolling terrains of grasses, flowers and herbs. Rain is rather common and more plants can grow here then in savannas.
Rivers and lakes:
Sand and deserts:
The hottest and driest area, the days are very hot the nights it freezes. Most animals and plant life can go long times with out water. As it rarely falls.

Pride rules:
Once a pet picks a pride they must stick to that, Unless you make a really good reason as why they should change. (rp reasoning often is a plus, mate, death what not - Only exception to the rule are cubs of parents in a pride)
Pride rank may also change at any time.
To set up a pride you must first pm the mule with the requirements:
Prides are not required however they may make more means for rps, breedings, and all out be fun.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Current Prides:
Amasai Pride
Hashim Obi Pride
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To start a pride is easy all that's needed is a male and a female However, both male and female my not breed with others not of the pride.
Lions may mix and breed in a pride, Male 1 with Female 1 then next Male 1 with Female 2 or so on.
Be aware males don't like to share the area with other males most other males are shoved out. And even offspring that are males leave the pride at some point with hopes to start their own pride later.
The only time leadership changes is when the old male or female steps down to one of their children or is over thrown or dies via rps

~ Breeding Rules ~
Only adults can breed (this means permas can not)
Gender and number is decided by dice - If cross types thats also decided by dice
You may only keep 2 baby's from the breeding others must be given away (this may be uped later but for now)
Pets may not breed again till all their babys are adults
No same sex breeding
Cross breeding ok via line types poses or what not
There may be same sex couples but as that isnt lion way they would be kicked outta most prides and be nomads, they may not produce children however, They may however take in a cub from a sale and form their own pride.
There is no limit to how many times a lion can breed
No inbreeding (Duh)
Customer limits: (monthly)
2 breedings per user (this is total not per colorist)
Litter size: Lions have 4 (this is via no pride)
Pride lions have a breeding bonus and as many as 7 babies can be born at one time into a pride (4-7)
However if only one parent is in a pride its at a max of 5 babies (4-5)
Cost:
40k or 40,000g (20k Per parent)
20k or 20,000g (10k per parent) if there is Rp
For rps to count for breedings there must be a total of 20 posts, these must be a full paragraph.

Stop Growth - Limit None
Pauses growth of lions at any stage
Start Growth - Limit None
Restarts growth that was stopped with a stop growth (does not work on permas)
Extra Baby From a Breeding - Limit 1 per owner
These add one more baby to a breeding, these do not up the amount a owner may keep but up the litter size from 4 to 5

After all is said and done
Do i Direct link?
You may direct link a growing pet, but when it hits adult we would like you to use your own server however pets will remain on ours.
Is there a limit to the amount I can own?
There is no limit to the amount you may own
Are these rp required?
No they are not rp required how ever it is loved and will often spawn extra prizes, more babies for a breeding, custom items or even a custom pet!
I had a breeding can I sale the other offspring?
No in no shape or form may you make money off anything in this shop unless you are staff, however you may still suggest an auction or normal raffle that costs money that money how ever goes to the colorist not you.
What is a perma?
Permas are made on one stage only not adult, this can be a teen, baby, or child as the colorist sees fit. Grams are often in forms of permas.
What are the limits to a perma? Can I buy a start growth for it?
No unlike a pet where you stop its growth the stages before are done, its already a growing pet. Permas are like adults in type however they may not breed. They may have familiars be rped but can not change from that form.
If I win a pet from a sale does it have to go in a pride?
No, all pets unless breeding or said otherwise are rogues when first bought.
(more will be added when seen fit)
