Welcome to Gaia! ::

My classroom window has an open window, and it doesn't have a screen, and my friend is afraid he'll get bonked in the head with something.
No nutty robins here. I work on the second floor of my office building, and last fall a red-tailed hawk flew RIGHT by my window. -I- nearly jumped out going OMG! Hawk! ... startled my coworker. I'm such a geek for birds of prey <3

I got such a good view of the hawk, too, it was just below my eyeline and less than three feet away... so beautiful and graceful! and fast XD I get good views of the ravens and squirrels who come to the drainage basin too. And an earful of the idiots who can't drive... we're at an intersection island.
No worries, everyone that's coming in to announce school and work. xD It's a busy season and the RP isn't open yet, so consider this a small break to catch up on everything before the big Aershaa RPing bash. I'm catering a wedding this weekend myself~
-wishes life wasn't so stressful for her- X.X
Ooh, I love red tails~ I'm lucky enough to live in a place where I can see them and the occasional osprey or bald eagle. :3 <3 Otherwise it's 'the Birds' (starlings... *shudder* ;;>> ), or the usual war between the robins, crows, and blue jays... xD Oh, lately we've had a bunch of cormorants too... o: <3 *not a bird geek, really!* xD <3
None of the birds outside my window ever fly into it.... they prefer to sin at 2 a.m. instead. @_x

I do get a whole lot of bugs running into it though. That's a strange sounds. XD "BzzzTHUMP."

Aww *hugs Ice* stress sucks D:
Stress is indeed a bad thing. Perhaps it being near the weekend is good news? o: <3

And a bug zapper. Another good thing. <3
I'm an avid bird watcher. :3 I have my feeder, my corn basket, birdbath, and bird house infront of my window. And... I'm consstantly at war with the goddamned squirrels. >___<

>> *is a freak and prefers watching the squirrels* :3
We've had squirrels eat through our bird feeder. So we sprayed it with Pam. They slid right off! 8D That was a blast. Then they got the bright idea to Chew Through The Tree Branch that held the feeder. O_o We don't feed the birds anymore.

*dies* XDDD

My grandparents had to get a new bird feeder, and were very distraught at how impossible it is to find a -squirrel friendly- bird feeder.

...So they bought a normal one and cut a hole in the bottom for the squirrels to come up XD
Hi all!

We never fed the birds in the first 19 years of my life. Well around the time I turned 20 my grandma moved in with us. We now have 3 bird feeders.

Its entertaining watching the squirrels figure out how to get the bird seed. Although if they don't lay off the seed *they are getting chubby* my dog will finally be able to catch them. Its funny, she shakes when she watches them since shes so excited.
Keeeep feeeeding the squirrels! 8D

Ahem.

Seriously, there is no non-squirrel friendly feeder. They will find a way. *ominous music*
Heh, I think EVERYONE wishes life weren't so stressful!
*laughs at the related squirrelly antics* We had feeders in the back yard but never squirrells, not even when we had the corncob out on the stick for the larger birds. Our main problem was the grackles and mobs of starlings that shooed all the chickadees & finches away.

We always had a lot of cats in the neighborhood in the past couple decades... the rabbit population took a dive into near nonexistance in the 80's. I've only seen one squirrel in my entire neighborhood, and that was a baby that a neighbor was caring for. Til the Humane assoc. found out and went NO NO NO *grab*
