Welcome to Gaia! ::

Oh wow, Moon. That's nifty. xDD

And yes, there's a HUGE difference. D8
Wow I was quite a bit off there. XD

But yeah there's quite a bit of a difference.. o.o; Since... Hong Kong was colonized for quite some time and all..
I have family in NYC. Grandpa Pete is on the radio every Saturday. All Mixed Up. :3

Really Moon? I didn't know. So English isn't your first language?
Haha yes. We're not overrun by Communists. Or weren't... Until like ten years ago xP

Mmhm. Well, I mean... technically not. Cause I moved to China like... eight years ago when I was five or six and went to an American school. So my English is tons better than Cantonese or Chinese xDD
Ahaa. :3

I'm from Taxachusetts. ): Always have been.

Anyways, bed time for me. Goodnight!
xDD

Lunchtime for me. -flees to eat-
X3 Looks like I'm not the only one in FL! <3
Stryding Soul
What, whoa, who's here from China? o_o Must be a lurker.

LOL k. xD There's a mark on alabama, so that must be you.
I is from China, too. O: I was born there and lived there until 9, then I moved to the USA. xP

MoonRazor- HK was much more capitalistic than China ever was. ;D Which dialect do you prefer more? I've spoken Cantonese all my life, and I personally don't like Mandarin...but gotta go with the flow.
Trin - did Tsume and Aaka ever meet? Wish I could remember who all I RPed with... x_x; But yeah... old stories would be great, especially if any whipper-snappers are nearby, they can all curl up at their feet and have Story Time. x3 *tail-bladed to death!* <3

Kira, I can't wait to see Rafiki made into an elder. That would fit him so well. Strike that, her. I forgot... xD;

Cass, I don't like your map. It's telling me I'm from a different part of the country. >> Unless it's telling me where Trin is from; in that case it's all good, and the next person that visits will show where I'm from. xD;
Kira: I much prefer Canto. I mean, I'm probably biased, but still. xD

I use Mandarin when I have to. Which is strange, cause when my Taiwanese friends talk to me in Chinese I reply in English xDD
This is very interesting to me. I had always heard that Mandarin was the way to go, if you wanted to "learn Chinese." Now I have to (because I like languages) find a place to learn Cantonese (as well as Mandarin)... ninja
Oh yeeeeeeeeah!!! Only Englishman in this joint! *Boogies*
Weirdo. wink I'm actually surprised about that too. Give it more time? :3
Well, yes, Mandarin would be the way to go. It's far easier to learn and it's like the "official" dialect of Chinese cause everything corresponds to the characters.

Cantonese on the other hand has like (so I heard from people trying to learn it) eight tones and there are words and expressions that you just can't write down. It's something you have to grow up with. It's immensely hard to learn otherwise.
