Welcome to Gaia! ::

The days were becoming cooler, even when Sanguin avoided the shadows of the cavern he could feel the quickening of night and he realized it wasn't as warm as he remembered. Yet, when one spent most if not all of their days outdoors, one could easily pick up on the changing of seasons. Summer was over, autumn was here, and winter would soon be approaching. For the blood bay that meant his hunting skills were going to have to be rekindled for the season. No matter, Sanguin wasn't going to worry about it, for even as his paws padded on the well worn trail near the caverns his walk was fairly silent, his muscles smooth. What better time of day but dusk for a walk?
((Awesome! Sorry for disappearing, I was eating some hot wings and did NOT want that mess anywhere near my keyboard. xD
I'll go ahead and go last, if that's okay. *waits and wiggles*))
A loner sat by the cavern's entrance, golden eyes peering off to the distance. She did not have much trust from the other clanmates. Though she had spoken her truth at heart to the alphness, Faizah she still wasn't able to speak on all the matters concerning her leave from her past clan. Feeling a sudden chilling breeze caused the blue spotted four winged female to shiver but it did not keep her from keeping watch on her surroundings.
Paws trudged through the underbrush of the forest. For a few days now, she'd been patrolling the edge of the territory. Not because it was her job or anything. No, it would be simple to explain it by saying she was merely bored. Bored, and maybe even keeping a look-out for her snake-pelted son. The last meeting she'd had with him and her granddaughter had been far too short and she wished for another. After all, she rarely saw any of her other children, either. Even the one who she lived with! How pitiful. Huffing, Knightmare raised her eyes from the path before her. It didn't take long for her to reach the edge of the forest, stepping out into the large expanse between the caverns and the waterfall, the two places she spent most of her time. A look of half-hearted debate colored her features as she gazed back and forth between the two places off too far in the distance to see.
As it was, the banthi was fairly close to the caverns enterance, and though he liked to avoid going inside at all times- for reasons obvious to Sanguin at recent events - he still traveled close enough to keep an eye on it. However, had he been paying close attention in the waning moonlight he would have spotted the figure sitting alone close to where his path would be taking him. As it was, a good 30ft or so still seperated him from the figure, and his golden eyes were trained on the surrounding brush rather than the trail ahead. Had he realized an unknown banthi was within his sights, the blood bay would have most assuredly turned tail or stiffened with his usual uncertainty of strangers; although it had gotten better since he'd known 'Mare.
Her ears perked to sounds around her and the new banthi scents not familiar to her caused the female to stand on all fours. It had been awhile since she drifted off to the other clan area to investigate. She highly doubt it was a member from there though she was curious who might be out there. Moving down the path in a slow pace for she did not want to be seen as a threat to anyone at the moment. Golden eyes locked onto a male that was close by to where she was and she gave him a curious look.

Did he belong to the feral clan as well? Looking around she still sensed another nearby but it was faint. To faint to even question if it was a banthi or just some animal just walking around. Looking back towards the male "Are you part of the feral clan?" her voice was a bit cold even when she tried not to.
Yawning, the roan gave one final glance toward the direction of the waterfall before turning and wandering towards the cavern. With the passing of the seasons, she decided it was a bit too chilly to fall asleep near the pond where the spray from the falls would constantly moisten her fur. She'd been outside too long already for that. Picking up her pace, she imagined the warmth of the fire with an inward grin. It was always nice to curl up on one of the soft couches and rest soundly.

Upon finally reaching her destination, she was stopped by two figures not far from the entrance. Social as she was, she couldn't help but nose her way into the little meeting, having no understanding of what was transpiring and no idea that one of her new acquaintances was not so new after all. "Sanguin!" she exclaimed with a purr, completely forgetting her manners for a moment. They found their way back with a quickness, however, her silver eyes holding an apologetic look to the one she was sure she'd heard speaking just moments before her intervention.
Had he perhaps the sense to have looked up he would have seen the other coming forward. As it was the sudden voice that intruded upon his thoughts brought the male's head swinging around to spot the oncoming figure; slow and unthreatening as the gate was. The blood bay was caught between a balk and a step forward, frozen in midstep as golden eyes settled on the unfamilar, somewhat cold female. "Yes," was his equally detatched, yet blunt answer to such a question. Perhaps she was not? Now he was no battler, but his loyalties were thoroughly where they should be; with Faziah and Amon.

Apparently banthi had a habit of sneaking up on him tonight, even if he recognized 'Mares voice one could visablly see the banthi's haunches jolt downward in surprise, half-crouching, half-startled. "'Mare?" Dipping his muzzle and tipping his head he indeed saw the confimation of his grey pelted mate, the male's frosted exterior quickly disappearing as his tail swayed out behind him. A broad grin now graced his maw.
Ah, so she was not just sensing things. For there was another out there and she just gave a look at the two banthi couple. She never really felt comfortable around others who were so open with emotions and such. Her golden eyes which were an icy stare gave them a look over to remember in her mind what they looked like for further use. Her facial expression was that of a mystery but to anyone she probably looked like an unfriendly banthi.

"I'm quite new to this clan. I'm Scarlet." her head gave a light bow. She must show respect to anyone in this clan. It was her duty to show she could be trusted after all!
Chuckling at bit, she gave him a little wink. It always made her glad to know that no matter how unfriendly her love could seem, she could always make him smile. It was a cheesy notion, but she was certainly not uncomfortable with such a thing. Even if others were. Of course, she was definitely polite enough to save the mushy stuff for when they didn't have company. Smiling in a motherly manner, she listened intently to the other's introduction. The whole situation was feeling a bit formal at this point, but she quietly lost those thoughts and remained friendly. "It's a pleasure to welcome you. I'm Knightmare," she greeted in response. "But feel free to call me 'Mare, if you'd like. Most do." Shutting her maw, she looked to Sanguin. He could introduce himself, she was sure. She smiled again.
Ah, yes, he couldn't forget their guest. As much as he would have liked to pounce upon 'Mare, as they hardly got to see much of each other now a days, Sanguin would remain a good boy for the time being. "Its nice meeting you as well, Scarlet. I'm Sanguin." Okay, it was much easier for him to accept unfamilar banthi with his mate around at the time, but who could honesetly blame him for that? 'Mare just seemed to brighten his day whenever she appeared.
((xD I have to go! But thanks for the rp! <3))

"Nice to meet you both." she seemed distant without even taking a notice of her behavior. She looked behind them and gave the two a look. She wasn't the most social type and she was already finding out what she had needed from the two banthi. Names and appearance is all she needed in the end. She slowly started to walk past the two and was on her way down the hill and she was very silent.

Turning her head to look back "If you two don't mind. I'll be taking my leave." she had other things she must do. She figured it be best if she scout out the area a bit before heading back and taking a nap. As she started to walk off into the darkness "Goodnight." her tone almost chillingly creepy.
((G'night, GC. D':

I really should go soon, too. If I don't get some sleep, I'll never be able to get up for class. o3o))

"Eh?" Sadly, 'Mare had little time to utter more than that. Never before could she recall someone leaving a conversation so soon. It was strange. Although, in all honesty, the other female did seem a little unusual in her mannerisms. Perhaps, in her old age, she was just getting used to many friendly and overly friendly banthi hanging around her. "Goodnight, then..." she called after, watching the winged form fade into the night. When she felt they were alone, she turned to her mate with a sheepish sort of expression. "We scared her off," she joked, laughing a bit. "But I wonder what is so important in the middle of the night..."
((G'night xD

I should be too, gotta wake up early to take my bro to school.))

Huh, odd was likely the word he would use to describe the sudden encounter. Although he had no desire to further it, he still couldn't grasp the idea of leaving so suddenly. "Fairwell", Sanguin replied, watching the figure retreat some before turning his attentions back to his beloved. "We did?" slightly grasping at the idea of a joke, and thus inclining his head in feigned innocence. "I'm not certain, perhaps its simply too late for some banthi to be up and about." He guessed, but that likely wasn't the answer, in fact he didn't really have an answer to such a question. Instead, Sanguin bobbed his head forward to nudge at 'Mare's shoulder, "Its always good to see you 'Mare." Not that those words really described it very well, but Sanguin was never really that good at such a thing.
