Caverns of the Banthi +Update pg.540

Rayatia's ears flicked and hearing small paws on the ground of the caverns made the older female smile. However, she didn't move; she would let the little one, whoever it was, work on their prowling skills. When her tail got pounced, she turned her head around with a smile. "Oh really, little Fai-Fai? You got me?" Carefully she slipped her tail away and stood up to loom menacingly and yet playfully over the cub. "Or is it I who got... YOU!" And with that she pounced the cub to tickle her and give her a nuzzle.

Just as Fai was sure she had gotten Ray's tail, the older female turned her over to attack her in a fury of tickles and a nuzzle. The little dragon couldn't help but to squeal in laughter while she squirmed from Ray's touch. Her eyes were twinkling before she stuck out her tongue, 'Not uh! I got you first!' But, she couldn't help but paw at Ray playfully, trying to combat against the older female.

"Oh but its plenty fair since I have you now." A wink was tossed at the cub with a smile. Rayatia couldn't help but to scoop her over to nuzzle and hug her the best she could. Playfully, she pretended to rest her head ontop of Fai's after releasing her from the hug, that in a hunting setting would mean the death of an animal, and only applied enough weight so that Fai would feel slightly uncomfortable. "My, my Little Fai-Fai, you sure do make a nice pillow." She couldn't help but to smile so playfully as she weighted down the cub with the upmost caution.

The little dragon cub shook her head, 'Not uh! You're bigger than me, Ray!' Fai cried out, but she nuzzled the older female affectionately. She had heard plenty of stories about Ray and Pira from her father, that they were very close friends of her family and thus, she wanted to be friends too! Her tail flicked slightly before she felt Ray rest her head against her body. She couldn't help but blow a breath at Ray's mane, watching it flutter against her breath. It made her giggle happily, it reminded her a lot of her father's mane. As she wiggled out a paw, she batted Ray's mane, 'A pillow? But I'm too small to be a pillow. You can be my pillow!'

This made Rayatia laugh, so much so she moved her head off the young cub. She shook her head, sending her mane flying. "Now there's something I thought I would never be called! I am far from a pillow. Your daddy is pillow though. So is the Alpha of our clan, Uncle Amon. He's a tiger pillow and he's really good at it since he will just lay in one spot for a really long time." Oh yes, she was going to make sure this cub knew that Amon was the banthi to torture for pillowness. However, she saw how desperately the cub tried to get at her mane so she lowered her head against to let her locks fly around as she shook her head alittle. "I am the one who will always groom you." She winked playfully to the cub.

Her ears flicked forward as Fai listened to Ray. A tiger pillow! That sounded interesting. Her eyes widen in surprise, 'Another pillow!' She giggled, 'Ba-ba is a good pillow...he's all fluffy!' And once Ray had gotten up, but kept her head close enough to where she could reach the mane, she pawed at it playfully. It amused her, and made her smile. She shook her head, 'You have a mane like Ba-ba and me!' She smiled brightly, 'But mine's still small, not like your's Ray.' At the latter words, her eyes widen slightly before she giggled softly, 'Groom me? Ba-ba tries, but he's not all that great at grooming!'

((*laughs* Ray's weakness = little Xu cubbies. XDDD

I'll have to reply to it later, Tei. I'm in a fluffy/happy mood that would definitely not bode well with Raaj!

Rayatia grinned to her. "My son used your dad as a pillow too." She winked playfully. "But you must see if you can find Uncle Amon one day to lay on him. He's very comfy!" She giggled. Would Amon ever forgive her? Of course he would. She spoked Fai's little cub nose with her own larger one. "Well, your mane is little because you are still little. Your mane is from your daddy. Mine is from a shot." Rayatia then used to snout to nudge the cub's belly playfully. "Your daddy doesn't have to be a good groomer with me around!" At those words, she pulled Fai in for a nice grooming to make sure she was kept clean. "Where is your daddy now?"

Her eyes widen as Fai replied, 'Oh really? I will have to find Uncle Amon then and make him be my pillow!' She didn't want to let Ray down, so she's have to go hunting for this Uncle Amon and see how good of a pillow he was compared to her father and Ray. With another paw at Ray's mane, she smiled as she watched a lock sway from side to side before stopping against Ray's head. 'Yea...your mane is longer than Ba-ba's though!' As Ray had pulled her in close and started to groom her, she purred softly. At Ray's question, she answered, 'Ba-ba went out hunting and told me to stay here until he came back. But I didn't know you would be here, since Ba-ba says that you sometimes stay outside like us.'

Carefully, after she was finished grooming her, the equine female then picked up Fai by her scruff and carried her over to where she had laid before, and set her down before curling around the little one. "Well I will just have to keep you company until he gets back now won't I?" She smiled brightly before the tip of her feathery tail flicked to get the cub's attention. At mention of her being outside, Ray smiled. "That's because my son, Pirago likes to be outside. But he's not out there right now so I'm warming up by the fire." Ray gave the cub a curious look. "Has your dad begun to teach you anything about hunting yet?" She wasn't sure how slowly or quickly Xu taught his children the basics of banthi survival. The least she could do though was teach the cub a small step if he had not done so already.
