Ears flicked forward as the water dragon had caught the sound of something moving below her. Jiang Shui Long was perched in one of the many trees in the forest. Her red eyes gazed forward as she was curious to the sound. With her fin pressed firmly against her back, she leapt her way through the tree till she jumped to the ground in search of the source of that sound. In no time, it didn't take her long to find herself going to a place that she knows very well. The meadow. She perked up a bit as she was starting to pick up a familiar scent. She lowered her body a bit, wanting to see if she could pounce on the unsuspecting banthi.

[Leena-chan]

Pirago's ears flicked then folded back. The sound of movement. His pupils widened like a scared kitty and he lowered himself even further to the ground. What was that? Was it his mother?! Did she already track him down? He almost held his breath. Out in the meadow, he was never good at telling which direction anything came from just from sound alone. He slowly took one step back.

[Kireiryuu]

As Jiang Shui Long stalked towards the meadow, she couldn't help but pick up the scent again, and this time it was stronger. Pira! Her red eyes widen a bit as she got an idea that she couldn't help but do. Crouching low to the ground, she flared her fin as she walked forward. The water dragon wasn't too sure of his location, but that didn't mean she couldn't tease him. Plus, she stood out way more than he did!

[Leena-chan]

Movement... CLOSER! EEK! Pira was twirling round and round until he spotted a moving fin. Fin? Blinking, Pira made himself sit up, and raise an eyebrow. "Jiang?" He called out rather unsure. Definitely was not his mother if no one else.

[Kireiryuu]

His voice gave her his position as Jiang ran towards him. In one swift movement, she pounced on him rolling off with laughter. "Pira! I caught you!" Her red eyes couldn't help but twinkle in happiness. It had been a while since she last saw him and was definitely glad to see him. Her tail flicked a bit as she was curious about why he was all the way out here. "Of course, silly! Who else would it be?" She paused to look back at him with a lopsided smile, "What are you doing all the way out here, Pira?"

The minute he heard running paws, he knew he just made a stupid mistake and next thing he knew he was pounced and on the ground again. He laughed and smiled. "I'm glad it was you who caught me and not someone else!" Shaking off his pelt from the dirt, Pira, unconsciously, struck a tall stance as he sat up. "You never know who you'll run into out here." He grinned then sighed. "I was in hiding from my mother. She's been insistent on grooming me. I'm not a cub who needs to be groomed but she seems to still think so." With his paw he tried to muss up his fur on his head. He then smiled. "I didn't think any banthi were still in this area. How have you been, Jiang?"

Red eyes watched Pira, Jiang tilted her head as she watched him try to mess up his fur. She went to him and decided to help, "There! Much better." She giggled softly before she shook her head. "Nope, it's only you and me out here." His mother was grooming him? Hm, there must be a reason for her wanting to do that, especially since Pira is a grown banthi and not a cub. "Is there a reason to her grooming you? I couldn't see why she'd do it without a reason, especially since you are an adult," She paused before smiling, "I have been well. I haven't seen you in forever! I missed you Pira!"

[Leena-chan]

"Thanks." He smiled when he was now all dirty again. Pira blushed slightly at her question and looked away. His white fur made it way too obvious too. "Its because she wants me to find a mate.. She claims she wants to arrange a mate since she says I'm awkward in social settings, whatever she means by that." He then smiled and looked at her. "See thats what I told her! I am a grown banthi and hardly need to be groomed, nor do I need a mate right now. When I want one, I'll find one." He then smiled. "I'm glad to see you're okay. I missed you too." That last line was kinda spoken alittle more quickly and he gave her a quick nuzzle before he nudged her and grinned. "Have you seen any other banthi around here these days?"

She couldn't help but laugh at Pira's dilemna. Jiang remembered when her father wanted her to find a mate and raise a family. But she firmly told her father what her ideas were and when that time came, it would come. "I can understand that Pira. My dad also tried doing the same thing. It took him awhile, but he's much better about me to find a mate. I guess he just doesn't want me to be alone, but he doesn't understand that I'm not alone!" She had plenty of friends to keep her company as well as her family. Sure, having a mate was different, but it didn't make her want one anymore than she does now. She nuzzled him back, "You're not awkward, Pira! Just because you're not bubbling with happiness when you meet others doesn't mean that you're inadequate."

At his last question, she thought about it. Now that she thought about it, she had definitely caught very faint scents traveling to the caverns. Ones she knew and ones she didn't. Perhaps that meant others were coming back as well. "I haven't seen any other banthis around, but I've caught scents here and there. I'm sure in no time there will be life here again!"
