(( thanks >< <3 he was a gift from Surreality. how are you doing? ))
His paws detected the slight movements that Tethra made and thus, Raajmuat headed in that direction. Upon hearing her reply he couldn't help take it all in. He could feel emotions radiating off the female, but he was so inadequate when it dealt with the opposite gender. Perhaps that was one of his downfalls. Regardless, it was just too hard for him to open up to the opposite sex, his history made him very hard to trust. With Tethra's sifting in his direction, he made his way close to her side. The mountainside was rather cool to the touch, it had been a lot colder many moons ago, but most of the worst had passed. Or at least, the basilisk had hoped so.

'I could just imagine. Things rarely seem to fall close. It makes me wonder if I'm actually cursed by my lack of sight, or blessed.' Talakin would be rather proud of him, he knew the cornsnake wanted him to open up to others. As hard as it is, he needed to be at least a little emotionally attached to his members or else they'd just leave him. Being alone is not something he wanted to experience ever again. He was curious about the female, he knew very little about her. But her voice made him wonder. There was something there that he could relate to, or perhaps he was just imagining it because that'd make it better for him. 'Do you miss your home, Raven?' He rested down against the ground, placing his head on his paws as his pale, milky eyes gazed forward onto the eternal darkness he was subjected to. With Tethra's descriptions, he tried to paint them in his head.
Tethra watched him move, always amazed at how agile he was despite his apparent complete lack of sight. She figured his other senses must be kicked into high-gear, leaving him in some state of awareness she couldn't comprehend. Waiting until he settled, she turned her back to the world below and crouched down until her limbs curled daintily under her plush belly. "Yea." She scoffed at his comment, though it managed to produce a small smile.

Tilting her head to the side, she listened to his question and chuffed a short, humorless laugh. "No... heh.... no." With a small shake of her cranium she continued only tentatively on the subject, her voice growing cold but soft with memory. "I used to love that place so much..... I messed up a lot there though. Its definetly lost its spark." She pondered for a moment before deciding to ask her own question. "Have you ever travelled far North before?"

((Okie. Recovering from tonsilitis @_@))
ooc: I spot a LilWere and fellow Va beach native! *pounces*

*watches rp* SO love seeing this stuff again!

Ouch, Tonsilitis, hope the recovery is a speedy one.
*looks for something to do*
An ear flicked in Tethra's direction as Raajmuat could feel her shifting weight once more, perhaps it was to get comfortable, perhaps it was to get warm from the chill. But regardless, he heard her words and took them in carefully. Things apparently didn't appear to be well with where she was from and he couldn't blame her. Things had been difficult for him. It left him scared not only physically but mentally. He bore the brunt of his abuse and thus, it had left him the way he was now. His serpentine tail curled around him slightly before he turned his head to let his milky gaze land on her.

Her question made him curious. He paused to think about it. Had he been to the North? Perhaps he had, he's been to a lot of places but they all kind of meld together. 'Perhaps I have. In the very least, I could not tell you what it looked like now,' He paused as his eyes kind of glazed over slightly, getting lost in a thought. 'My mother took me on one of her travels a long time ago. Even though she wasn't really supposed to, she feared leaving me behind with the rest of the clan. The landscape was rather beautiful, so full of life...' His voice trailed off softly in nostalgia. It was then that he realized he was talking to Tethra and not Talakin. It had been rather easy to let a soft side of him show, a side he tried to keep locked away from others. He didn't want to be hurt. His placed his paw forward on the cool ground, letting it soak into his paw. As the warmth had left him, his thought about the female next to him. While there were other females here, none knew his real name. None were here as long as Talakin and Tethra was. Their initial meeting had been anything but kind. But that was not to be expected from him. The sounds the wind made against the female were different sounding than the sounds that Talakin made or even his mate.

'I should think that you are rather restless being bound to the ground with little purpose to fulfil,' He paused to raise his head fully to rest his milky gaze on Tethra, 'Do you wish for a purpose here?'
Tethra's eyes were trained on the male as she listened in wonder like a small cub listening to the grandiose stories weaved by her father who, at the time, was beyond any sort of fault or imperfection. She wondered about so many aspects of Raaj's old clan. It seemed so alien to her, their schools of thought and the way they regarded each other within the clan. The fact that Raaj's mother was afraid to leave her son with the rest of the clan gave her the impression that perhaps there was an air of distrust that ran through the old clan, or somesort of individual apprehension even while being amongst a tightly-knit group. This contrasted greatly in her mind, coming from a clan very devoted to the gentle, loving protection and somewhat harsh obedience of a familial group. She wasn't shocked or unsettled by this though, it only proved to intrigue her further. She wanted to much to ask more questions but she was weary of the alpha's patience. It was a difficult path to where she now stood - or rather lay - within this new clan. It would be absolutely soul-crushing to somehow mess it all up now... now that she was finally feeling at home somewhere for once.

The male's statement caught her off-guard as she listened curiously, bright tawny eyes trained on his calm features. For some odd reason she feared she was about to be chastised for some unfortunate act but was interested at his proposal. A purpose. What exactly did he mean? The word seemed much too elaborate for what she was feeling, if by some chance he was attempting to reach out to her troubles. he'd find that a difficult task if he did try, as the real demons taunting her within were confusedly lost to her as well. "A purpose?" She echoed her thoughts, achingly curious to hear his idea. "Like what?"
((Yea, the stupid docs at my campus hospital mis-diagnosed me. I was suffering so much on Monday and he said it was Mono, sending me home with nothing but a prescription for a puffer while I was dying of lack of sleep from my coughing and the pain of swollen, infected tonsils. He didn't even bother to do a blood test to check!

So I took a train back home and went to my family doctor. The guy started me on antibiotics right away and said I was majorly screwed with how much the infection had set in >__>

And he tested for Mono. Negative.))
ooc: O.O

Canadan healthcare does not sound like all its cracked up to be, at least on the campus level. I am sorry to hear you had to suffer so, glad to hear at least your getting what you need now. Will you have to get those taken out?

*tags Kire covertly and keeps watching the rp*
((I think the whole problem is that campus doctors have prejudices towards diagnosing certain ailments that occur often on campus because of the close confinement and questionable hygiene of certain students. The top 4 are hands-down: Pink eye, Mono, Gastroenteritis and Strep Throat. He swabbed for strep and it apparently came back negative... yaaaa tell that to my blotchy-white lumps of tonsils.

Thankfully no, this is my first tonsillitis scare so they're more inclined to treat it. If it becomes a reoccurring problem them I'll hafta get them out.))
ooc: Questionable hygiene is why we have the Staph infections, and why I have more horror stories then I care to recall.

Thats good to know, I hope it works out that you get to keep 'em. I have never had that problem before but it sounds as far from pleasent as a nail in the foot.
