Caverns of the Banthi +Update pg.540

A year and a half. It seemed longer than that, but indeed it had been that long since Mimi had left the Cavern to join her mate with his new clan. A year and a half since she had seen Koujaku and Ryuuza. She wondered how those two were at that very moment. They were probably better off without her, though she knew that Koujaku was rather attached to her.

Sighing, she gazed down at her dusty pelt. Her white was now a dull brown color and her orange markings were brown-tinted. Shaking her head, she started to look around for Talakin. He had to be around here. Didn't he say to meet him by a river? Or was it hot springs? She didn't know. All she could remember was water. Smelling water nearby, she headed in that direction, hoping it might take her to her mate.

The serpentine had been busy with so much that Raajmuat didn't realize the time had flown right by him. Not that it made much of a difference to him in the first place. First and foremost, he cared about upholding his clan which he is successfully doing. He had been in and out, preparing things and making stuff to help the rooms in their cave. While the basilisk was busying himself, he had let Talakin indulge on his family time.

It was hard for him to picture Talakin being a father already, but it was so. His ears flatten against his head slightly as he wondered where that female was. Tethra...or rather, Raven, as he has dubbed her. His paws caught a slight vibration as he stopped. It appeared to be coming from close by. He turned and walked quietly through one of the many routes that took him to his destination. It was a good thing he had become so accustomed to the tunnels in the time that had elasped. He'd definitely have been embarrassed if he had gotten lost.

Slowly, he could feel the heat start to trinkle in as he came closer to the hot springs. Talakin was here, he could sense the male from a mile away, that was for sure. His tail tip flicked as he spoke out to the male, 'Little Snake.'

He could not help but smile softly when his thoughts were intruded upon by a rather familiar banthi. Raaj, he will forever and always be his brother and best friend no matter what time and fate had in store from them and his family. Lifting his head up and turning it slowly, the male caught sight of his green scaly friend and his grin broadened. He couldn’t thank him enough, he had helped him so much, let him live freely, and even left him with space for his family. It was more than he could ever possibly want in his life. Turning himself around to stare directly into the snake kings blank eyes he bowed slightly before getting up.

“It is a pleasure to see you today. Is everything doing well for you?” He let his minds words seep softly into the others brain, he rather not attack it with harsh mental vibration that would cause a headache upon one whom has such strong senses. As he waited for his reply from Raaj his eyes began to wander, checking out all that could be seen in the thick stream that covered the tunnel near the springs. Where was she, and where was Reika? The little one still seemed to not be able to develop as strongly as most banthi, almost like she was handicapped in some way. It did worry him, but he still found he to be the most precious of gifts the world had ever given him.

Shifting his weight so that it was felt more on his left side Talakin scanned the area again before looking over towards Raaj once more. Three quick sniffs were all it took for him to know they were not there, well, Mimi anyway. Reika on the other hand, was standing very close to the beginning of the cave.

"Reika!"

Mimi seemed to have gotten lost. What she thought was the hot springs was a little trickle of water that had managed to make its way in the cave's tunnels. That puzzled her, but she hid that emotion with bitterness. She only wanted to get back to her mate and children. Wrinkling her nose, she ignored the trickle of water as she gazed around where she currently was. "Stupid. Why didn't I follow his directions," she muttered under her breath.

Shaking her head, she gazed upward. Was she close enough for them to hear her. She hoped so. "Talakin!" she yelled with all of her might. "Talakin, darling!" She hoped that her yelling did the trick. To now confuse her mate, she stayed where she was.
