:Q: How do I get an Acorn/Drifter, then?
:A: You can get one from a Flatsale, Raffle, Auction or game as they become available. Right now, though, we're still in IT stage and we won't be doing any sales.

:Q: How long will it take for my acorn/pup to grow?
:A: Depends on how active you are and the current colourist workload... expect somewhere around a week's time.

:Q: Can they breed?
:A: Who? Acorns and pups, no. But adult Drifters can, and they usually have 3-4 pups per litter =3

:Q: Do I hafta be an active roleplayer?
:A: Nope. But we'd shower you with love and marshmallows if you were <3

:Q: How do I get a Blessed/Cursed Drifter?
:A: Two ways: either by chance, your acorn was blessed/cursed and emerges with wings, or (very, very rarely) your Drifter is blessed/cursed by the two Overseers.

:Q: Can I resell my Acorn/Drifter?
:A: ....no! DD8 The pet will be taken away and you will be thrown off the island. You may, however, give it away to someone else via game or free raffle or what-have-you. Just run it by one of the staff to get approval first ^^

Prepare for much awesomeness 8O </shot>

Basically, what you need to know:

- Ceres Demetri is the god of Autumn |3 He sometimes walks on his island in the form of an Eldrift, but usually he's up hanging at the very top of the Great Tree
- He built this island! With his magic and stuff o 3o
- This island moves around in space, so that it doesn't succumb to seasonal rotation |D And floats. Yeah, I guess it's theoretically possible to fall off the edge... but not very wise > 3>;;
- Drifters live here! And all the manner of little creatures for them to hunt, or just miscellaneous ones you'd be likely to find in the woods or the plains or whatever. |D
- Five types of Drifters: Normal ones, Blessed ones (with feathery wings), Cursed ones (with leathery wings), Rogues (a slightly more wolf-ish society of Drifters who live on their own and are loyal to their pack, but not to regular Drifter society), and Eldrifts (a special fourth stage, beings closer to Ceres than normal Drifters ;3)

And... yeah |D It's all very cool, I promise you.

Inside the Tree - this is where the Drifters spend their days, often the setting of the shop itself because you can hear the acorns falling from the inside. Here is Mishap's first sighting of the decorated inside;

The first thing he noticed was a humongous couch lining the left wall. Straight ahead a wooden bar blocked a fridge, oven, and microwave. There were shelves lined with snacks and munchies on either side of the oven and stools stood side by side at the bar. Mishap gasped slightly and padded forwards, testing the floors. The floor was a strange mix of tree and dirt, seeming natural, like part of the tree. To the right was the section that Sirius would like, consisting of a huge flat screen TV bordered by speakers and sitting on top of as many game consuls Mishap could name. In the TV room there was a strange array of bean bag chairs and couches, along with a soft rug sitting in the center. Called Mishap, his voice ringing in amazement.

RP Info;
You can always roleplay in the guild! o 3o Usually RP is fully allowed and encouraged in the thread as well, but if you see it start to take over the whole thread point it out and try to move some of it to the guild. River knows how in-thread RP'ing is sometimes much more fun and free form than that of Guild RP's, so we usually won't mind if that's the only thing keeping the thread moving.

Drifters~



Acorns::
Drifters don't fall far from the Tree... no, really. All Drifters come from acorns! Acorns cannot move and cannot communicate, mostly they just think and watch the world around them. Drifter acorns are colorful and unique, not to mention much larger than normal acorns, so you can tell them apart easily.

Children::
About 5-7 days after being born as an acorn, your Drifter will become a child. Now they can move around and communicate easily with the others. Drifter children usually have more energy than the adults and are normally taught by their parents. Keep a close eye on them, because in this stage they are also usually the most naive and mischievous.

Adults::
About a week or so after becoming a child, your Drifter is considered an adult. They've grown bigger, stronger, and are (hopefully) wiser than before. Rumor has it that the Drifters can keep growing after this stage... but you shouldn't believe everything you hear, should you? ;D (Yes you should. xD)

And then there are... WAIT. DRIFTERS WITH WINGS?

Woah, woah, calm down! There's a story to all of this. Of some sort. The way Lemons remembers it (but you should know her memory is not often to be trusted), the tale goes a little something like this...

In the beginning, there was only Ceres, and his creations. Among his creations there were two Drifter siblings, different as the light and the dark. The sister went by the name of Endyme, and she was virtuous and kind in every way. Ceres Demetri saw the wonderful qualities in Endyme and desired to give her a gift worthy of her good deeds. He gave Endyme light, feathery wings resembling those of an angel, to symbolize her virtue and show all the inhabitants of the island that she was indeed blessed by the God of Autumn himself. But Endyme's brother, known by no true name, complained to Ceres. He wanted a gift as well, but one that would better suit him as opposed to his sister. Ceres knew he desired wings, but also was aware that he did not deserve the angel-like ones that his sister received. Instead, he gave the boy leathery bat wings that intimidated and even frightened many who came near, to display his true nature to all as well. To sweeten the deal, Ceres offered him the ability to curse others, give them the same wings as himself if they were considered “deserving” or if their parents carried the curse. The brother agreed, and became known as the Curser by all who knew of him. But Endyme was not forgotten, as Ceres gave her a duty as well. She would be the 'Blesser' of the island, giving good foxes and their children her angelic wings to wear with pride. And thus, the two Overseers of the island came into being as Endyme and the Curser, brother and sister and representatives of the good and evil existing in their tiny corner of the universe.

...or something like that.

So basically, these two very speshul foxes will be gifting your little lovelies if they see fit 83 Keep an eye out~! Of course, if you happen to stumble upon a Rogue acorn, Lucien will be taking interest... but that's an entirely different story |3

They now have fully grown, fully functional wings and can fly over great distances. Rogues~



Acorns::
Rouge Acorns, like all the others, are just as special as normal Drifter acorns. All acorns have the same importance and therefore look no different from the others.

Children::
Rouges may take a bit longer to grow, as is in their nature to not go along with the rest of "society". Rouge children often like to terrorize the normal Drifters in their materialistic bliss, or otherwise grow up isolated from the "inside world", preferring to stick to those of their own kind. They cut their hair short to be different, plus, it's easier for them to hunt and run without such long bangs in the way. They also have longer claws, giving them a slightly wolfish appearance. Rouge children require even more watching, and receive more teachings.

Adults::
About a week or so later, a Rouge Child is officially an Adult. They've grown bigger, stronger, and more intelligent, but their claws are still very long and their hair extra short. Rouges usually live in the forest area of the island. They don't venture into town much unless in dire need of assistance. Rouges like to live on the land, most are loners but some have families within the rouges. Rouges usually possess a resentment of the ordinary Drifters and stay with their own kind to feel more comfortable.

When a mommy and a daddy love each other VERY VERY MUCH... acorns fall on their heads and BAM.

Basic Stuffs;
- There is no limit to the amount of acorns your Drifters can have. But try not to breed excessively, it's not that easy to pull millions of designs out of the couple to make different looking children.
- All couples will be allowed to breed. Although it is technically impossibly for same gender couples to have a child with both of their DNA, the acorns aren't created in the same way so it is possible here! 8D Joyness!
- The amount of acorns in each breeding is randomized from 2-4, but if you would like to have only one that is cool too~ less work for us! 83 Sometimes an even larger litter is possible (omg RP benefits? o3o), but usually not with heavily edited pets. We do have lives >>; ((Well, most of us anyways))
- The genders will be randomized as well but you probably won't know about it. >3 You do not have to name the children until they reach the child stage for that reason, so the acorns usually end up being un-certed unless named or specifically asked for.
- It is up to the owners of the parents to decide what to do with any extra acorns, since each owner will only be allowed to keep one unless you want to negotiate something else beforehand. However~! The process must be ENTIRELY FREE to all entering users. Free raffle, just giving it to a friend, RP contest, or any other contest, as long as it's free.

Costs;
Unedited Couples - 10k (That's 5k for each user who owns a parent-to-be Drifter, or however you want to split the cost)
Edited Couples - Price varies... around 15+ (depending on edits)
Bribed Couples - You can always offer a colorist a bribe to do a breeding. If we're not too busy or we think your couple would be cute we might just accept! If you give enough of a bribe we'll consider doing a custom breeding, but those are rarer.
