"Maybe... if organized crime is your idea of business," Yaxha snorted. Sure there was competition, but he was not the ambitious type. He was happy with the regulars and the occasional lost tourist. And he was in a good position for people passing through. He didn't need much at all to be happy. Maybe Pix was the same way. Even though he had been understandably confused for the majority of the evening (and he might continue to be for a while yet!), at least thinking of the kitchen had made him smile. That was a smile right, not just a smirk?
"Well you don't have to be worried about being cold anymore, that's for sure. I like to keep my place nice and warm." He rubbed at his head, the spiny-looking fringe wobbling around under his fingertips. "I guess tomorrow we'll have to go shopping for you so that basement isn't quite so dismal. It's all well and good to be warm and fed, but it'd be nice if you could be comfortable too."

Organized crime? If it was? It seemed rather odd to Pix that Yaxha would phrase his question like that. He wasn't so addled that he did not realize that there was a difference between a honest businessman, like Yaxha...and the crowd he used to run around with. Actually, Pix was rather intrigued by this change. His tail twitched and Pix closed his eyes so he could try to focus on this serious moment. "I like the idea of not doing crime stuff anymore. I'm tired of the hiding out and the running around." Pix's eyes opened some so he could look at Yaxha through the half open lids. "I don't need you to buy me stuff Yaxha. Just being allowed to sleep in the basement makes me happy. Knowing I don't have to wonder where I'm gunna spend the night, or get something to eat, or even if I'll be warm enough makes me happy. This is enough to make me comfortable. It's a lot more then I've had in the other gangs. The last one I had to sleep outside the door. Sometimes it rained and I really didn't like it at all." He explained with a strange small smile on his lips.
