CURRENT ONGOING EVENTS
Hm....

"Never let the future disturb you. You will meet it, if you have to,
with the same weapons of reason which today arm you against the present."
- Marcus Aurelius
Weapons are made for varied purposes. To the non-erudite, the intent of weapons are to kill, to slaughter, to maim.
To the pacifist, the intent of the weapon is to serve as the harbinger for the peace that will never come. To the monopolist,
the intent of the weapon is to supply war. These are all conclusions that humans have come by and the same ones
have been inherited for generations. Humans have only the limited rationalizations that they are
capable of making...but no person has ever wondered the reason for why weapons are born from the mind of a weapon.
When the weapon “awakens” from its Slumber, it awakens in a universe free from the alignment and conflict of humans;
weapons do not fight for the ideals of man.
When a weapon wakes...their new War begins.
When a weapon wakes, they wake in Armistice.
( PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU'RE LOST ALREADY )
Armistice is dedicated to the brave men and women who participated in the history of war.
Their efforts are remembered for eternity, may they rest in peace .
Many flatsales will be held on significant battles' anniversaries.

Armistice is a "living land" that constantly augments. It has seven regions in all, each birthed in parallel time with the advancements in human warfare innovation. Content within each regions expands as more Armisticians inhabit them. Each region is inhabited by its own unique batch of Armisticians. A weapon will Awaken only in environments most fitting to it; these environments are similar to the service conditions in which it served. Visit the map megathread to learn about each region and the Armistician models that inhabit them. Remember, each region has its own distinctive batch!

Many Armisticians follow the misconception that the Velvet Archives is the heart of Armistice. Why wouldn't it be? Everything Armistice shares is written from the Orbis Carta, it seems sensible that its heart would be also.
Only the Velveteers know the truth.
Underneath the Archives' magnificent chambers lies a cavern that extends into infinite darkness. It lives in silence despite the rich activity within. The cavern's function is similar to a mint in the Wielder World. Day and night, it produces Hollows that circulate in Armistice's economy, its outlet being Ironcreed. For centuries, the cavern remained nameless and untouched--its guardians being the Velveteers and a few, powerful Ironcreedians.
The nameless cavern is no longer nameless, its contents no longer secret.
The Arma Caedes closed in on the truth after their fruitless search for the Armistice mint in Ironcreed led to the torture of an Ironcreedian politician. Fearing for his life, the politician confessed the wretched truth. Led by the rebel responsible for the Arma Caedes rift, Deluxe, the Arma Caedes made their intention clear: authority would be eradicated to be replaced by the Arma Caedes family. They would live the lavish styles they were born to live, to resume the power that was taken from them. However, the Velvet Archives obstinate their aspirations.
The Velveteers are aware that the key to accessing the mine is literally the Orbis Carta's spine: Armistice's sense of sarcasm in a trade of education for wealth. However, if the Orbis Carta loses its binding, the Velvet Archives will crumble. While the Midas War appears to be a war over commerce on the surface, its true conflict is over the preservation of erudition. Without the Velvet Archives, the Armisticians' only link to the Wielder World would be severed.
The Velveteers are desperate to protect their home. The Orbis Carta wrote nothing since Deluxe paid her visit to the Archives. For the first time in three millenniums, the Velveteers are raising their Assets to protect the edifice of erudition. The Midas War can erupt at moment's notice. They must prepare, yet they are not alone.
ACCEND corps know that the Midas War will be the opportune moment to bag the Arma Caedes family--a task they've been struggling to finish ever since the family relocated from Vicarthsis. However, the Midas war will not be the only war ACCEND must fight, they are also fighting a recruiting war: the Arma Caedes are desperate for Armisticians to fight alongside them on their cause. The Smoking Barrel headquarters are more than smoking, their business is on fire.
The Arma Caedes are waging a third war themselves: a civil war. Many of the family members are conflicted as whether to follow Deluxe in her crusade, or stand by Valentino and preserve the valor and honor of the family name. The conflict between material wealth and moral wealth runs deep.
Scars deep.
Armistice, the Midas War will come.

There are four factions in total in Armistice, and each faction has their own unique sense of fashion! CLICK HERE FOR THE FACTION MEGATHREAD to read about their leader(s), headquarters, and fashion trends! Your Armistician's operator attire will depend on which faction you choose also, so select wisely. Also, there are forums for each faction in the guild for mission PRPs and PRPs concerning faction activity. General roleplays are to be held in "▨ Armistice".
VELVETEERSThe Velveteers are the oldest faction in Armistice and known for their erudition and insight. The Orbis Carta selects the members for the Velveteers; it is their task to monitor the pages it births and organize them into books for the Velvet Archives. The Velveteers reject the belief that conflicts can be solved by violence. Instead, they utilize reasoning and debate. Velveteers that have achieved the utmost wisdom are given the gift of telepathy by the Orbis Carta. These Velveteers are called "Wises" and are responsible for providing general knowledge of the land to newborn Armisticians regardless of type. They are the voices that newborn Armisticians hear upon their Awakening. Although Velveteers are known to exercise wit rather than Asset, they are perfectly capable in combat; the strongest Wises are revered as notable fighters. Velveteers are only loyal to themselves, considering their alignment "neutral". They will provide what information they find fitting to whoever deserves the assistance. However, many have also been accused of censoring information from the Orbis Carta, for there have been discoveries of the Orbis Carta's pages burned...for the better or for the worse.
ARMA CAEDESThe Arma Caedes were formed in Vicarthsis's darkest times. During the period, the Vicarthsian King ordered executions of all Vicarthsian Armisticians that were on par or stronger than himself. After the strongest were eradicated, he worked down the ranks; soon very little Armisticians that had potential to retaliate remained...sans two swords. The two made a promise to each other to protect the remaining Armisticians and raised a rebellion against the King compiled a band of brave Vicarthsians. They were called the "Arma Caedes"--weapons with Assets stained red. "A lot of love", they said. Yes, they loved each other and all that was left. It is written in the Archives that the Arma Caedes were like family. However, with the addition of more members came mroe conflict. As time progressed, the Arma Ceades grew from a family to a posse that use their connections for power. Power struggles and mixed loyalties were common within the family, and the love Arma Caedes was famed for struggled to survive. The two swords that formed the family fled when they could, and a civil war rages among its current leaders. Nonetheless, Armisticians seeking "power" and "security" find the family attractive.
SMOKING BARRELSThe Smoking Barrels are the "blood magpies" of Armistice. No Armistician remembers the exact date of when the mercenary guild was formed, but all know that its founder is the only faction founder out of the six that is still alive. "Noah Sure-Shot" he is famed--ring leader of the first band of mercenaries, the "Sure-Shot Six". There were six of them: six-shot revolvers loaded with grit. Later, they adopted the business title: The Smoking Barrels. The Smoking Barrels fought where Hollows were to be paid, often even against each other.Despite that the Smoking Barrels functions as a mercenary guild, it is truly more of a mercenary office for its members generally lack warmth for each other. Their colleagues might as well be their opponents on the next job, and competition is high. S.B. mercs are famed for "not asking questions". They are hired by unaligned Armisticians, the Arma Caedes, ACCEND, but never the Velveteers. While the original "Sure-Shot Six" were all Firearms, the guild has expanded to include a larger variety of classes.
ACCENDACCEND was born from the offices of Ironcreed, though it is called ACCEND corps only recently. ACCEND officers pursue dishonest and illegal Armistician activity, and are always monitoring the Arma Caedes. While they act as the Armistician police force, they also double as a minutemen organization powerful enough to silence region uprising and possible war. They are credited by all the factions for preventing large-scale wars for more than two hundred years. Because of ACCEND, Ironcreed is also known to be the cleanest and safest of all regions. ACCEND members are all required to take a mandatory training program. Although their members are varied, they all share one unique combat quirk: they would never attack their opponent if his/her back is turned. ACCEND's motto is, "A candid fight is an Asset right".

In Armistice, "classes" and "races" are not synonymous in meaning.
"Classes" refer to the four main classes ( blade / melee / firearm / projectile )
while "races" refer to individual races (i.e: rifle)
Please note that the sample characters are all PRESTIGE (STAGE III)!
Your pet will begin at ARMISTICIAN (STAGE I).
Please keep in mind that classes are NOT genderlocked!

Before you learn how to battle, read what your stats are first and how they affect your character! The stats are all predetermined by Pur3 Snip3 that are most accurate to your Asset. Your character/Asset's base attack, base endurance, and speed stats are all researched by the admins before they are distributed. However, the admins generate a random number between 10 to 20 to determine the HP stat. Every time your character evolves, +3 is added to the HP stat and HP stat only.
HP is the stat that exhibits how much stamina the Armistician's body has. If your character's HP runs out, you lose!
SPEED is the stat that determines which character goes first! If it's a tie, one of you flips a coin to decide.
BASE ATTACK is the stat used to conduct attacks against other players.
BASE ENDURANCE is the stat based on an Asset’s weight; it influences the Armistician's portability.
Armistice's battle system is based on a dice rolling and or number generating system. Each player takes turns to attack! Whoever runs out of HP first loses and is considered dead (unless a Revival Vial was used).
The first attack is made by whichever character is faster (basically whoever has the higher SPEED stat).
Saika's SPEED is 5!
Valentino's SPEED is 4!
THEREFORE, the first character to attack is Saika!
The attacking player rolls a number between one and six. This number is the ACCURACY roll, which adds to the weapon’s base attack. (If you have Asset attachments that enhance your Asset's accuracy, instead of dice rolling, you would use the number generator.)
FOR EXAMPLE, Saika rolls a 1!
THEREFORE, Saika ACCURACY is 1!
When players attack, they attack using the FINAL ATTACK number, which is the result of the adding the rolled ACCURACY number to the BASE ATTACK. (Asset attachments that enhance attack are also added as a stat boost at this time.)
Because Saika's accuracy is 1, it is added to her BASE ATTACK which is 2!
THEREFORE, her FINAL ATTACK is 1 + 2 = 3!
If the defending player’s BASE ENDURANCE is greater than the FINAL ATTACK of the attacking player, the attacking player’s FINAL ATTACK is subtracted from the defending player’s BASE ENDURANCE. The resulting number is then taken from the defending player’s HP.
Arthur's ENDURANCE is 7.
7 is more than Saika's FINAL ATTACK of 3.
Therefore, 7 - 3 = 4!
4 is the DAMAGE Saika dealt to Arthur's HP!
If the defending player’s BASE ENDURANCE is less than the attacking player’s FINAL ATTACK, the FINAL ATTACK number is subtracted from the defending player’s HP and treated as a direct attack.
HYPOTHETICAL WEAKER OPPONENT's endurance is two.
2 is less than Saika's FINAL ATTACK of 3.
Therefore, Saika gets to deal a direct attack to HYPOTHETICAL WEAKER OPPONENT's HP!
3 is the DAMAGE Saika dealt to HYPOTHETICALLY WEAKER OPPONENT's HP!
If an attacking player wishes to use an item during a turn, the item is used in the beginning of the turn, and the player does not roll for accuracy, nor does he/she attack that turn.
If you wish to use a Revival Vial, your character must inject it into his/her body at one point in battle. If your character dies in battle and did not use a Revival Vial prior, he or she is dead. However, this does not mean your character is dead forever. If there is someone in the guild who is kind enough to rush to the scene and inject your character with a revival vial of their own, then your character lives! However, they must RP the injection to keep things in-character!

Q: Do I have to be a history nerd or a military history expert to RP in Armistice? Because...I'm not!
A: NOPE, absolutely not! For flatsales, we'll provide you with informational links on how each Asset functions and from what period the Weapon is from (plus information about that era) , and really, you only need common sense and general knowledge. You don't need to speak martial jargon to roleplay Armistice, and asking questions for this kind of thing is okay!
Is the art template based?
A: Nope! Pistolsys draws all the stages with your character's growth in mind. Also keep in mind that the faction you choose to join will influence the fashion of your character when he/she becomes an Operator.
Q: Why can’t my character be a combination weapon?
A: Combination weapons were unpopular even amongst their meager number of users. The built-in guns mounted in hilts and blades of such weapons were prone to misfiring, and what records and remaining examples we have of combination weapons tell that they often were of more danger to their wielders than their supposed targets. They also disagree with the class system of Armistice, so do not request them. We will not do them. Ever.
Q: Can there be two Armisticians of the same model?
A: ICly, there can be, but for the sake of variety we are only allowing one Armistician per model. This means that ICly in Armistice, there can be two or more AK-47 Armisticians, but we only want one in the shop for the sake of variety.
Q: Why can’t we use less lethal weapons (i.e. tasers), they get kills too!
A: While they do get kills, they would not be sufficient enough to warrant an Awakening.
Q: Wouldn’t guns have a huge advantage?
A: Yes and no, see the stats distribution page! Pur3 Snip3 is our weapons expert and sees to it that the stats for each weapon are reasonable. He does a lot of research before they are determined. If you have any qualms with your character's stats, you may PM him discreetly about it. Items you can buy in Arms Express can also give you an advantage in battle.
Q: Why don’t Armisticians invent new weapons as Assets?
A: Actually, they can! However, these invented weapons would not be able to kill them or wound them deeply. Armisticians and Assets share a bond in soul, so only by severing that bond (by killing the Armistician) with another Asset can they truly die. Thus, Battle Items are all animals found in Armistice that have the soul of the land in them (i.e. Grenadillos).
Q: What kind of Armisticians/Assets aren’t allowed other than combination weapons?
A: NO FICTIONAL WEAPONS! Meaning, no phasers/lightsabers etc. Additionally, tanks, nukes, explosives (barring Grenadillos), nonlethal weapons, whips (unless bladed) are not eligible Weapons. They must be handheld, and able to be carried around easily.
Q: Can there be inter-faction relationships?
A: Yes! In fact, we encourage it! It promotes more plot potential and character interaction.
Q: How young or old can an Armistician physically appear?
A: An Armistician's physical appearance can range from seven to their fifties. Their actual age is how long they've been an Armistician ever since their awakening, and they do not physically age. This does not mean that they age slower than the average Wielder, they just simply do not age.
Q: What is the technology level of Armistice?
A: Armisitice itself learns as the Wielder World learns, thus is up-to-date in all areas. Despite architectural differences, all regions (sans Vicarthsis) have modern technology.
A: I have a question that is not on the FAQ, where do I go to get an answer?
A: DO NOT PM THE ADMINS. Always, always, always post your question in thread (or the questions thread if you're more comfortable with that)! However, only ask questions if you're certain you've read everything in the shop front and the IC megathread (there's a link in the third post)! You'd be surprised to find if your question has already been answered.
