Morty puffed up his chest as he was clung too. This was a feeling he could get used too! He looked to where Arkies eyes were, Nao's wierd box. And he also listened to the tone of Arkies babble. He must be wondering about the wierd box. Hey! He was wondering about the wierd box too. His nose twitched as he regarded it, "What in the box?" He said and nudged his paw towards it.

His ears perked up at the mention of food, wanting to blurt out his requests, but deciding that he should just let her give him whatever she saw fit. He wasn't too picky, afterall.
X was busy gathering various noncook munchables onto a tray and in a few bowls. "Anything to drink?" She called out, head peering past the door for a moment.

Okay, now they better not try and steal his precious box, which he thought they were going to do before Morty asked about it and he sighed. "Feathers." Nao replied, trailing his fingers along the designs of the box as he wriggled his labret absently. After a bit, he looked over at the two and carefully removed the lid a bit, revealing the sorted mass of feathers, most of which were Dil's and gifts. Though, he made sure to keep them out of Arkie's grabbing reach, he didn't want his feathers to be eaten.
"If you have Coke or Pepsi, that would be great...otherwise, anything's fine with me." Karma called back. She wasn't hard to please, but she preferred Pepsi when it was available.

Arkie's eyes lit up almost instantly at the sight of so many colorful pretties and he leaned forward to reach for them. Thankfully, his depth perception wasn't quite up to par just yet and he fell forward face-down across the cushionslike a football player who had failed a dive for the touchdown line.

Immediately, however, he sat up again, shaking his head slightly, his big ears flopping as he did so. "Bshwee!" he declared at no one in particular. And then he sneezed, the force of his breath not enough to scatter the feathers, but to upset their arrangement in the box

Morty stared into the little box. Feathers? Why did that seem to strike a sour note with him? His face scrunched up and he pulled back, looking towards the Television. "Feathers are stupid." He muttered quietly, not even noticing that Arkie had sneezed in the box. He had no idea why he disliked Nao's collection. Something about taking feathers from someone else just seemed wrong.

His tail flipped behind himself and his blurted out loudly in reponse to asking for beverages, "Joooseee!" He squeeked. He loved apple juice!
"Gotcha." X somehow managed to gather all the needed snacks and drinks onto a tray, carrying them all in and setting the tray on the coffee table before finding a place to sit down. "Dig in."

Nao look utterly horrified that his feather collection he had JUST organized had been disrupted, eyes narrowing toward Arkie at first, but instead overheard Morty's mutterings.

Well that just meant he didn't need his feathers.

Leaning over, he nimbly plucked a feather from Morty's nearest wing before shoving it into the box and clambering into X's lap for protection. "My feather now." He was about to gloat, when his attention was captured by the plate of food, and Nao immediately grabbed some of the nearest fruit on the plate, strawberries and began to carefully eat them.
Arkie clapped his hands and giggled at the way the pretties in the box had puffed and scattered suddenly, oblivious to the fact he'd offended Nao. He didn't know they could move on their own too! Bonus!

He twisted when Nao reached for Morty's wings, unable to see what he was taking, and it didn't matter anyway as X entered the room with....homigod...FOOD!

Karma caught him a split second before he could tumble to the floor as he reached for the tray. "Easy....!" she said, wincing and sitting him back. Before he could pitch a fit, she picked up a slice of cheese and handed it to him to eat. The kid was turning her hair gray and he wasn't even a month old yet...

Morty felt the pull of the feather of his wing, and before he could stop the toddler, he excrutiating pain of it being ripped from his flesh caused him to cry out in pain. His head snapped to glare at the toddler, his gums being pulled up in a feral rage. That was the last straw! He was going to get that feather back and make him pay for the indignity!

It didn't matter at the moment to him that he was being held by his mother, and he spat out a hiss and made a note that he had a vendetta to settle with him! That crazy X would have to let go of him sooner or later. And perferably sooner. His hair fell back down and he settled as a lion waiting to pounce it's prey does, glaring at the toddler.
X heard the commotion that Morty had created, head snapping to see what had happened, whatever it was, Nao was now on her lap and had apparently been quick enough for her not to have caught it. "What in the world Morty...?" The maternal instinct caught up with her and she wrapped her arms around Nao protectively, narrowing them at the other Fa'e. "What happened?"

Nao tightened his grip around his precious box, flattening his wings as close to his back as possible while leaning back against his guardian. "Sorry..." It hadn't really hurt when a few of his feathers fell out after he grew, so why was it hurting Morty so much? Staring wide eyed at the other toddler, Nao tried to think of the best way to flee the situation.
As he finished his cheese and Karma next handed him a cracker, letting him sample what was on the tray, Arkie started at Morty's noise.

He didn't know what had caused him to make it, but it made him like the birdkitty all the more. Anyone who could scream was cool in his book. Uninvited, he shoved his cracker at Morty, offering it to him, not knowing that he was playing middleman in a conflict. "Byoobla?" he asked.

Karma watched from the sideline, debating grabbing up Arkie and moving him out of the way so that he didn't end up on the recieving end of Morty's claws or teeth if he was really that angry.

Morty glowered at Nao still, yet he snatched the cracker from Arkie and snapped his teeth on it, devouring it in one bite. When questioned by X, he said nothing and grunted, hunkering his shoulders down and practically melting into the couch. He wouldn't of hurt Arkie for the injustice done to him.

No, he would devise a plan to steal the feather back later on. He had more resources then the bird boy, and he was smarter. Or, atleast he thought he was. His paws clenched the couch that he was sitting on, his ears folded back and his head tipped up snootily. He wasn't going to look like that hurt him, even though it did.
"At least take your claws out of the couch..." The vampire gave him one last glare before turning her attention back to Karma. "Something's always happening in this house... ALWAYS." Trailing her fingers through Nao's hair, causing the toddler to look up and smile, forgetting Morty for a moment and reaching for another strawberry, grabbing two and offering one to Arkie. He seemed to be really enjoying eating.

Chewing on his own strawberry, X reached down and patted Arkie on the head, eyeing the lion Fa'e absently. "How'd he like the gifts I sent...?"
Taking a cue from X, as she patted his head, Arkie reached out and patted Morty's head as well, giggling as he did so. Nice Kittything! Immediately afterward, he accepted the strawberry Nao was offering him without hesitation. A moment later, there was sweet red juice practically all over his face, making Arkie look almost like a parody of Nao's markings.

"C'mon, now, you're making a mess..." Karma chuckled, reaching for a napkin to try and clean him up. "I know how that is, though...there's never a moment's peace at home between Meka, Talon, and Kendall. Add Arkie to the mix and we have anarchy. He liked them very much, by the way, and thank you!" she nodded. "I'm sure he'll love the gumball machine when he gets a little older and in the meantime he loves the boat in the jar."

He released his claws from the couch, but still looked rather grumpy. Afterall, he still had buisness to do. After he got some snacks, however. He reached out and clutched an orange in his hand and stuffed it in his mouth, chewing on it all, including the peel.

"What're gumballs?" He questioned, looking to Karma. That was a term that he had never heard before. He liked new words. He especially liked knowing things that no one else knew.
"Well... Currently we have..." She trailed off to count in her head, mumbling names under her breath with each finger tick before finally losing track and rattling off an estimate. "Over 15 beings living here... And then there's Kochi, Morty, and Winny..." Giving Karma a light smile, her eyes went to Arkie patting Morty and her grin widened as she gave his head another pat.

Finally finishing his strawberry, Nao blinked over at Arkie and grinned. The red stuff made him look like himself! Or, something like that. Cocking his head to the side, Nao came out from his 'hiding' into X, fluffing out his wings in somewhat of a stretch, feathers seperating for a moment.

Morty still didn't look happy, but that didn't mean Nao was going to give back his feather that he had taken fair and square. Maybe he wanted one of his? "Morry? Want mine?"
"A gumball is a little colored ball of sweet stuff that you chew on and don't swallow." Karma explained to Morty. "You usually get them for quarters out of machines, and you can learn to blow big sticky bubbles with them." Almost against her will, she looked down at Arkie, wondering if bubble gum would come out of his scales any easier than the chocolate had...

"If you count my pookas, and all of the animals that pop in occasionally, I think I have about forty or so critters camping at the house. I really need to look into moving somewhere bigger, but....I can't do that. Youko just moved in behind us and we need to stay close for the kids' sakes, so we just need to do a lot of shuffling around and juggling to accomodate everybody." That and he'd skin me alive after he'd gone to all the trouble of picking that place out just TO be close to us if I packed up and moved again was the unspoken part of the sentiment.

Arkie leaned into the patting, enjoying the attention and continuing to make a sticky mess of his hands and face while at the same time dodging Karma's attempts to wipe him off. Gaah! Nobody was trying to clean up Nao or Morty, why was HE getting cleaned?? Not fair!
