Kia felt herself drop for only a split second, but the moment she got close to the ground, the strong arms of the girl she could see as plain as day grabbed at her, and glared upwards at Taka.
The glare only lasted a moment, before Arella noticed the wind as well. Her glare turned to a fearful look, and with her straining arms, she placed Kia carefully on the cushion beneath Taka.
Kia waved to Arella, who had ducked into the storage cubboard again, through the semi-open door. One of the feathers off her wings fell loose, and gently floated to the ground in front of the cubboard. Then she looked upwards, calling, "Takabaseen", while trying to make the peace sign.
