Welcome to Gaia! ::

Neith, and Kia both sat, still sitting close to each other. They didn't talk with words... they could feel each other. And talking though feeling allowed them to discuss things that would take words a lot longer to say. Neith was concurned about the new spirit, Kia wasn't as worried, Neith wanted to allow the new spirit peace... but Kia was sure that the new spirit would be better off, with their help. Neith shook her head, sure that the new spirit was only feeling worse because of their memories... and she needed to be older. Kia protested, saying that it was easier to understand something that one grew up with. The new spirit needed to understand.

They finally stopped debating though feeling, having agreed that the 'new spirit' needed to understand from young. Kia reached out to comfort Neith mentally, pushing though the light barrior of annoyance that Neith had put up.

"We will push for more, she will understand more." Kia muttered and glanced over at Arella. "Sahirah."

Arella twitched, and nodded slowly. She fingered one of the feathers that floated off her wing. "...I...said I'd protect you..."

"You heard what we decided." Neith reached out, to take Sahirah's hand. She squeezed it, and for a brief moment, Arella's angelic form was replaced by that of a dark skinned slavegirl, then by an elderly woman who was dressed as richly as Kia was. Her eyes were shiny with tears. The woman nodded, and Arella's form came back again.

Neith and Kia looked at Shina, smiling at the younger girl. "It's all right, we're done. Take care of the new spirit from the outside for us, and prehaps you'll remember us as well..."
Neith wandered into the living room, grinning at the girls who were playing... some sort of strange game.

"Sorry to inturrupt... Shina, but I have some things for you and your Momma. I'll leave them here, on the table. I'll be outside, if you girls need me. I need fresh air."

Neith wandered out, leaving some things on the coffee table nearby.

Shina nods, as she understood fully the emotions that had been traveling between the two almost as if they had been communicating to her as well. She would have tried to tone down her empathy during their exchange, but her concentration was already fully into keeping the link up and going smoothly. 'I do hope I gain more strength as my body ages,' she thinks to herself, watching with a moderate amount of surprise when Arelle changes her form twice, 'The others need me to be at my best. I simply must train more...'

When they turn to her and say they are done, Shina inclines her head politely before replying softly, 'I shall remember you both always, kind ones. Remember, this need not be the end of this. I can return and do this for you again should you wish it. But for now...' She concentrates harder. Her hands go before her, needing a focus when her mind is otherwise preoccupied, and she draws them towards each other to intertwine her fingers together. Her aim is for the two souls of Neith and Kia to do the same, to combine while within Shina's soul to become the new spirit that is Kia so Shina may speak with her as well.

Shina's body slumps, no longer able to sit up on its own. It doesn't flop to the floor, thankfully enough, as her wings are enough cushion to direct her body to slide to the side and remain such. Nyual's soul pops out of existance in Shina's imagined realm as his body feels the beginning of his adopted mother's fall, him trying to cushion it by tugging on one of her forearms to no avail.
((lol. I think I got it right... Shina wants to speak to Kia-now? Kia is the third spirit, by the way, the next one to join Neith and Kia for the body after in the future that carries the spirit. ))

Neith and Kia watched Shina carefully, and slowly they placed their hands together. Both shut their eyes, as their touching hands first went as grey as stone, and then gold, the gold slowly moving from Neith's nails, up her fingers, along Kia's fingers... until they both had gold hands and wrists. They then both opened their eyes. The eyes had shifted to the new Kia's eye color, and the personalities of Kia and Neith were replaced by Kia's new personality. Kia stared at Shina, looking a little confused. She then looked at Arella, who sat there and watched quietly.
(( Back now! Sorry bout that. My cable went 'poof!'. xp ))

'Kia, greetings,' Shina murmurs softly, rising to her feet and outspreading her wings out of instinct as she does so. 'Don't be afraid. I am Shina, and I welcome you.' She waits, hoping that the visual environment and Shina's older appearance don't frighten Kia. She would alter her soul's form to look younger, but she's already exerted a lot of energy.
Kia/Neith stared at Shina, their eyes blinking as one. In fact, they were one, the two bodies moving together. But in the center of the bodies, there was a soft glowing light, that took the form of a young girl. The young girl stared at Shina, her green eyes darting around the place as she took in her surroundings.

"Shina ...older?" She stared at Shina, wondering what it was.
Shina nods, glad to see that her friend is merely curious and not panicing, 'Yes, older somewhat.' Her hands go to her chest to rest there as she explains, 'We are within my soul, Kia. This is how I visualize myself, so this is how my soul appears to others. Do you understand?' A touch of weariness...she has to end this soon. A bit longer, no more.
Kia nodded slowly, looking around at the two older woman who sat on either side of her. She wasn't scared of them, they were... like her.

Kia looked at Shina, and scratched her head. "Why am I here? Why am I ... why?" She looked confused, and bewildered, not used to talking with others like this. "I wish I could talk like this as a toddler."

She paused, and blinked. "...But I am a toddler! ...Right?"

Kia looked down, and found herself staring at nothing but light, the shadow of a body. "...Something. I am something."
Shina had noticed the insubstantial form of Kia's soul, and this does concern her somewhat. She moves forward till she is but a few inches from the wispy soul, kneeling down before Kia with her light grey robes folding about her like a rolling cloud. 'I believe you appear as such because you have not formed much of your own sense of self, Kia. You are merely beginning to see yourself as a separate entity from the two souls who 'birthed' you.' Shina's form wavers, and from her very core she feels...tired. 'Forgive me, Kia, but I cannot maintain the link any longer. We may speak to one another, soul to soul, when my strength returns. Till then, know that I am with you always.' She leans forward, enough to press her lips over where Kia's heart would be if she were solid before she fades away entirely. The link does not shatter, as it was forced to when Chaos had ripped it apart in another occurance. Instead it slowly eases away, guiding those who were within Shina to go back to their bodies on a shining path of white light.

When Kia arrives back in her body, she would notice a warmth in her ear lobes, about her throat, and upon her chest. Golden scarab earrings are now in her ears, mysteriously pierced, and a matching golden scarab pendant with a heavy golden chain is about her neck, though it seems to be just her size.

(( I wish I could take credit for these images, but as it stands they are merely retouched pictures that I hunted down after a long search. They seemed perfect, so here they are. smile ))
((It's a finished post now! biggrin
OMG I LOVE YOU EIRNAE!
I say that a lot. blaugh
But seriously, you gave Kia a reason for her pirced ears! Yay! heart ))

Kia stayed quiet, listening to her, finding a strange delight in understanding someone's every words. She ran one of her hands down one arm as Shina talked, not feeling much more than the feeling one would get if they placed their hands in a strong wind, from a sheltered area...
She ran a hand over Shina's hair as Shina kissed her heart, finding herself slowly moved again, in light...

Kia opened her eyes again, blinking a bit as she reached to her throat, where a heavy feeling of a necklace hung. With one hand, she slowly felt it over, the other hand reaching around to feel at the warmth on her ears. Strange things were there, like her skin had hardened... Kia stopped fingering the pendant and the earrings, crawling over to where Shina lay. She sat down beside her, starting her not-so-musical humming as she stroked Shina's hair, like Arella did when Kia needed a nap.

Arella's face looked a little haunted, and she wandered out of the room after mumbling that she needed to think.
Shina's hair is still half up in two twining braids, the ends of which are secured with a deep blue silk ribbon tied into a feminine bow. The rest of her white hair is loose and tumbling down to the floor, a thick river of thin silky strands of hair that shine silver in the light as Kia's hand disturbs their flow.

Shina is curled up on her side, a small smile on her face as she deeply breathes the breathe of sleep. She is having a pleasant dream, one in which her sister has returned. She is hugging her and telling her about all of the things that have happened while she was gone.

(( I'm fairly sure she can be woken up if somone is determined enough. 3nodding ))
Kia stopped stroking Shina's hair, and lightly shook one of her shoulders, as she called down at her, "Shina, no nap! Shina, no nap!"

Kia looked around the room, which was peacefully quiet now. Her head seemed to be free of pain, of headaches, or of that nasty feeling she often had of her mind stuffed up. And no memories tried to surfance, something Kia liked very much.

Kia shook Shina's shoulder again, calling at her, "Shina no sleepy yet."
Shina is sitting in a field of blue and red roses with her sister, watching how Rei's long black hair winds up into the wind and trails back down like a cloud of smoke returning to earth. She is happy and content, having served her purpose. "They will all live their lives now, right Rei? Now that the Void no longer has them all will be alright?"

"Shina, no nap!"

"Rei?" her sister's back is turned to her, the crimson eyes that she loves so much staring off into the distance. Shina reaches out to place a hand on Rei's silk kimono, tugging at it insistantly. "Rei?"

"Shina, no nap!"

She is being dragged away from her sister, down a path cleared of roses. Something has her by the ankles, refusing to let go despite how many times she tries to kick them away. "REI!"

"Shina no sleepy yet."

"Hm..hmmm?" she mumbles, slowly sitting up and rubbing at her still closed eyelids. She dares to open her eyes a crack then quickly shuts them as the brightness of the room threatens to hurt her eyes. Had she fallen asleep?
Kia watched Shina stirr, and stopped shaking her shoulder. She waited patiently beside Shina, and answered, "Shina not sleepy nap!" Kia was tired herself, but she wasn't going to fall asleep any time soon. She wasn't that bad yet.

She glanced back over at Shina, who was still waking herself up. Kia crawled back over, and started to sing again loudly. When Arella sang her to sleep, she slept, but when Neith sang her to sleep, she woke up. Maybe it was like that for Shina?
Shina blinks as her eyes adjust, her hands cupping both sides of her face to become makeshift shades as she waits for the light to not make her eyes sting. She hears a familar young voice singing in the language Kia often says that tugs at the back of Shina's memory, yet never enough to pull forth actual meaning.

"Kia?" she asks quietly, slowly moving her hands away from her cheeks to look about her. It doesn't take long for her blue on blue eyes, however weary, to see the darker skinned Kia sitting by her with her mouth moving as the toddler sings. "Kia, I'm sorry...I must have dozed off." Her hands go to her lap and she smiles at her younger friend, wishing that she didn't feel so sleepy. Then a gleam of green catches her attention and she looks up to see a tea set on the coffee table nearby. "When did this get here?" she asks curiously.
