Welcome to Gaia! ::

Demonic Fatcat

With his mind clearly hazed, all reason and logic thrown out the window in exchange for blissful intoxication, Taka just grinned goofily and wrapped his arms around Kia as she tried to steal his best friend. His best friend was bourbon, obviously.

"Silly Kia," he slurred as he wiggled the bottle back from her, his other arm still tightly holding onto her before continuing to inform her that everyone needed bourbon. Duh.

"Everyone needs bourbon! This isn't alochol, it's bourbon! It's like..."

He paused to think as he slyly took another quick chug before the answer became clear as day.

"It's like--! Cheesecake. Cheesecake in a bottle."

Of course, it wasn't anything like cheesecake. It certainly didn't taste like cheesecake. More like tire rubber and tar. But the effect was as soothing as cheesecake. Or rather, to Taka, more soothing than cheesecake.

"You should -hic- try it!" He shook the bottle in her face with another grin, almost nose to nose with her face. Normally he would panicking at being so close to her, but this wasn't normal Taka. This was bourbon Taka. Nothing scared bourbon Taka. How else could he handle the never-ending concerts, practicing with little to no sleep, and dealing with incessant fangirls?

Bourbon. That's how.

Cheesecake... in a ... in a bottle.

Kia's mind exploded. Exploded all over the place, stomach assisting, as her eyes widened with the mere possibilities of this. Cheescake. In a bottle. Like a drink. It could come with a cookie on the bottom of the bottle, one that was like a cheesecake base, and the top could be wide enough to drunk cookies. Or maybe it could have 'base crumble' people could tip into the top when they opened it?

The drink could be thick like drinking yogurt but better.

Cheesecake in a bottle.

She scrambled for her phone in her pocket, one hand clinging to Taka's arm, totally distracted from the bourbon as she tried to put all this down in a text to Ra with fumbling fingers. Oh yes. This could work. They could make drinking cheesecake. They could make it in all the flavors. It could be so good.

Fireworks were just exploding all over the place, her body was all afire, her face alight. Kia already wanted to drink it. She wanted to SELL IT.

"Hold on..." She insisted, her cheek to his nose as she swayed, overwhelmed with this exciting idea. "Just... want to write... tell ... tell Ra about this..."

Of course, as Kia hadn't actually told Taka what she was so excited about and her head was blocking his view from the phone, bourbon Taka probably had no idea what she had to share with Ra right now.

Demonic Fatcat

Taka's cheesy grin faded into a frown in the blink of an eye. Ra? Why were they talking about Ra? Who cared about Ra? Ra was stupid. Did she bring him all the way here to talk about Ra? Was she just trying to add insult to injury? Why couldn't Ra just disappear?

All these questions and more were popping up in his mind, but he didn't ask any of them. He muttered a half-hearted and slurred "no" at her, before knocking her phone to the ground and pulling her closer to him. He didn't care how much he'd regret this later, but the mention of Ra just sent him into a state of drunken annoyance, and he wanted to hold Kia and never let her go. He didn't want Ra to ever see or hear from her again.

Even if it isn't me, why did it have to be him?

His silent thoughts were raging and bubbling, and his silence was sure to be defeated by the effect of bourbon soon enough. Or had it been defeated already? Wait, he didn't actually say that out loud... right?

'CHEESE CAKE BOTTLE RA COMPANY GOT 2 START IT TRST ME ITS KIA'

Excitement!

"Yes, because th-" Kia was cut off as she was hugged hard. Another deep sigh escaped her lips, something instinctual deep down just wanting to be held like this, because how long had it been since she'd been just held?

He still smelt good. He smelt kind of like alcohol, sure, and sweat, but there was something about the way Taka smelt that somehow seemed to make all the bad smells easily ignored. Maybe they even added to his good smell- she didn't really understand how it worked except that Kia could almost say his sweat smelt good to her as well.

It was weird and she breathed in, shutting her eyes a long moment, fighting against the urge to draw away (because he was probably drunk and it was responsible to not take advantage of him) and be the adult again.

Taka was older than her anyway. Really. His mind was older. It was just their bodies that were backwards.

"Because..." She tried again, although she didn't draw back, trying to bring her brain back. "Because Ra can help... help ... pay for it."

The company. What would ... damn, she loved the sound of his heartbeat... would it ... be called?

Kia sighed again. The phone that lay several feet away now started to vibrate. Ra was probably giving her a call about her rambling text.

Taka blinked in surprise at the mention of Ra and money. Money? Why did she need money? Was Kia struggling? Money hadn't been an issue for Taka, of course. He may live like a college student, but that was out of pure laziness and a simple lack of caring. His concerts had made him more money than he'd ever imagined. It didn't matter either way to him, he didn't brag about money, and he barely used it. Little known to even his manager, he had signed a life insurance plan so that if anything happened to him, the money would go to Kia and Tiegan automatically. He was still the carefree boy who could care less about materials and finances.

He swiftly grabbed Kia by the shoulders and turned her to face him, looking right into her eyes, as serious as a drunk could manage.

"Money? Don't worry about money, Kia! I'm a rockstar!" He grinned cheekily at her again before returning to chug from the bottle of bourbon.

He wasn't a bragger, but if bragging about his success would belittle Ra, then he was all for it.

Kia wanted that phone. She didn't want to discuss business things, not really, but the idea was so fantastic that she was happy to endure whatever boring things she had to for this. For Cheesecake in a bottle.

What shape could the bottle have?

Kia was going to reach out for it only to be swung around to face a now very serious Taka.

"Of course you are a rockstar. You probably also have money. I will as well soon- when I get Ra to start my business." She agreed. Taka's meaning had flown straight over Kia's head though. That was prett... oh, he had to stop drinking that now, he was already bright red. Kia reached out to snatch the bottle from him with a little more determination than before. "You don't need that."

Demonic Fatcat

Taka's arm looped around Kia's waist to keep her just out of reach from the bottle. He grinned slyly at her in a taunt as if to prove she'd never take his bottle, never ever ever.

"Whaaaaaat," he slurred as the alcohol began to take an even deeper effect. "I do need this! This is the only--"

His words began to fade into a quiet murmur as he buried his face in Kia's hair, nuzzling into her without even thinking about it. He was sure something was nagging in the back of his mind, like a screaming 'WHAT ARE YOU DOING', but he'd deal with the consequences of logic later. Logic and alcohol were not the best of friends.

"This is--- reason--- I survived---" His words were muffled and incomprehensible as he smothered his face into golden locks that smelled like sunshine. He wasn't sure what sunshine smelled like, actually, but he was pretty sure it smelled like Kia.

Kia strained, rising on tiptoes, tipping forward a little too much for her comfort as she tried to grab for the bottle. The bottle that was just too far out of her reach. She tried to glare at Taka but the angle of their bodies meant that any efforts on her part to use her face to her advantage (which sometimes might have worked with Taka) were lost as he was too much behind hair.

So she had to change tactics. She had to be sweet. Kia could do a nice sweet voice.

"You only need me." She reassured him. Plus he probably also needed the food. Kia wasn't sure when they'd arrive with it. But right now all Taka needed was Kia to take care of him. "You only need me and the bed. Right? So get into the bed. Okay?"

She edged backwards, as he shoved his nose in her hair, trying to turn the two of them towards the bed. Drunk and injured? Kia had a lot of work on her hands if she could .. if she could just ... not get distracted by the closeness.
