"Don't sound so down, m'lord, at least he's a rather dashing one." The albino didn't have any idea as to what they were talking about, and perhaps that was for the best. Trapped in a body- like possession? He didn't let his mind dwell on it. Instead, he attempted to take in Lisana's explanation to the 'god'. Funny way of meeting people, really. So she had a... a feeling, was it? They were being pulled by a feeling. Well, when in Rome...

"May my looks not deceive you, Lord Gelezis. I'm quite on the brink of losing breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Surely if not for the lady, I would find myself curled like a babe in some filthy gutter, prayin' fer my ma." He managed a quirk of his lips, a wink of his scarred, red eye. "Glad to hear the world's not always like this. It is a phase...right?"

How he wished he could give Laughter a winning grin, but he feared for the bile that burned the base of his throat. His reptilian tail silently curled upon itself behind him, lashed its bladed end around one of his own ankles as if with a mind of its own. Only it could truly portray the restlessness that nipped at his heels and at his heart. He swallowed, nodding with a somewhat more grim look to the female. "That's the spirit." And waited for someone to make a move toward the way they were going, someone that might take the lead.

Gelezis nodded a little as he listened to Lisane, but failed to seem moved by her story or impressed by her advice. He glanced again at Jynn as the goddess named him a friend and nodded slightly, though. Whatever worked for Laughter was fine for her, but Gelezis had his own methods and he planned to stick to them.

"Getting to the Pantheon sounds like a good idea," he agreed, as that had been his aim in coming here in the first place. "Do you know if any of the others will be there, or what might be going on?"

The god could not help but laugh a bit at Jynn's assessment of Sean. "'Dashing', you say? I suppose to some. Not my type, though." The corner of his mouth twitched, with some effort, into a sarcastic smile. Then, figuring it could not hurt to throw out a bad pun with Laughter standing right there, he added, "When I finish using up this mortal husk to return to my own past glory, I promise I will be far more attractive."

... So maybe Gelezis needed to work on his delivery - the near-flat tone of his voice that he had not been able to shake since being hit by the wave did not help - but he conceded for the moment that he should probably make sure he did not drive off this goddess and her serv- friend considering the situation.

He was not totally sure where the Pantheon was from where the three of them now stood, but Gelezis was not about to admit that. He glanced over at Lisana and waited for her to move.

She giggled faintly. "I look forward to seeing you fully restored, Gelezis."

Her thoughts turned quickly back to what they needed to do. "We should be moving, and I am uncertain who is returned and who is not. The condition of this world would indicate... Destruction. My host..." she hesitated as she accessed those memories that were hers but that she was somewhat unfamiliar with. "..she-I have met Beryl who is Wind, Kaelin... Water, and one called Byrne. Her memories- my memories- remember hearing him called the phoenix, so Rebirth I would guess? We should walk while we speak."

She indicated that they should begin walking in the direction she and Jynn had been walking as they spoke. Her teeth tugged her lower lip a time or two. There was enough room for the three of them to walk beside one another and she waited for them before moving.

"There are other faces and names. Names... Revei, Morpheus... Evadne. She is Mountain and I.. liked her." There was the barest hesitation in her voice as she claimed these for hers. "Byrne I liked also. I have the faint memory of a god-killing appliance that swallowed several of them, but they fought their way free. Odd. Twould seem that mechanical devices sometimes attack."

The last was a small joke and she snickered again, her lips lifting upwards. "Forgive my finding humor in this situation, but I am who I am meant to be. There are other things that attack also, but I doubt with so many of us, they will do so."

"Don't take average for granted, m'lord. You'll end up with a specimen like me." He mumbled it mostly, wiped the back of his wrist across his mouth with a small sniff. Maybe the next sound from him was a laugh, perhaps a cough. In any case, when the 'information' of sorts began to pour in, he tried to be quiet. Was thankful for the quiet on his part, actually.

A scarred arm silently wrapped itself across a more ragged-looking belly, as if his clutching it would cease the rattling. He was trying not to be obvious, and with both the 'gods' deep in thought about the going ons he doubted he'd be minded, a mere 'mortal'. They were all hurting, they would all be nursing themselves somehow, he reminded himself. As he absorbed what Lisana was saying, he began to realize that for all her charm, she was beginning to ramble a little, at least in his mind. Eyelids drooping for a moment as walked along, he turned his head just slightly toward Gelezis. He wondered if the meeting summaries were what the Overlord of Magnetism had in mind when he waited for his answer- his expression relayed the question with a somehow endearing quirk of his lips.

Then his attention turned back to Lisana. Something about her story sounded funny. Well, a lot of it did, but particularly there was one point that kept smacking into the wall of his brain instead of slipping into acceptance.

"Please forgive my crudeness, but if destruction is rebirthing itself in your world, then what the hell is about to happen to the world? Sounds like it does these cycles periodically, from what you're saying, like a giant... Etch-A-Sketch. Do you have that here? Shake it and it erases, draw on it all over again?" He was really starting to hope his portkey of sorts could do a reverse trip. "Isn't that kinda... I dunno, bad? Can we -er, you gods- stop that somehow?"

No, he wasn't about to freak out, no matter how his coiling tail seemed to say otherwise. Tossing his head slightly, he gritted his teeth and nodded somewhat. "Well, in my humble opinion, you wouldn't be very divine if there weren't a morbid little bit of humor in you. Dunno. Lisana, Gelezis, either of you have anything that can defend us faster than a bullet?" He honestly didn't even know if his guns would still function here. They weren't his only defense, but it meant he wouldn't have to touch any of these 'other things'. If they worked. The fingers of one hand grazed the silver hammer of one of the aforementioned calibers, wondering if he should check, but also not knowing if his Lordship was naturally... attractive. Damn, weren't they just the trio? Really.

Gelezis followed Lisana's lead, walking a bit to the side to put her between himself and Jynn. He had been more expecting a list rather than details, as well, and took the opportunity to zone out a little.

Hey, don't be rude to them, Sean urged the god in charge of his body. They're just as concerned as you are about everything that's going on, and it sounds like Lisana is at least better informed. Since this body we're in is still mine, I'd prefer you didn't go picking fights with people who could mess it up. We need allies here.

Fine, but only because having allies is more convenient for me. Do not think these people are your friends.

Magnetism's heavy sigh was the only outward indication of his brief exchange with Sean. Then he caught Jynn looking at him, and returned the mortal's smile. At least he was not the only one bored with the long-winded explanation, he gathered.

"Judging by how things have been looking for a while now, and with how things are apparently progressing, I would say it is rather obvious that everything is on its way towards destruction. I...." he trailed off, a small crease forming on his forehead as he tried to remember what he could of the past worlds. It felt like a memory lost, rather than one he had not once experienced, but for the life of him, Gelezis could not recall anything.

"Well, I will do what I can in this flimsy shell to defend us, but I am not sure that we necessarily face physical assaults right now." His eyes narrowed a bit and he glanced sidelong again at Jynn. "But perhaps I can invoke some morbid humor and that will save us all." It was meant as more of a jab at him than at Lisana, but Gelezis could feel Sean suddenly start hoping that the goddess of laughter would not decide to smite him.

Not one for making friends at all, are you?

Sean, shut up.

She shook her head in denial. "Destruction has been here some time. This wave... whatever created it, is something else. It just feels different than what has been happening."

She watched Jynn a moment, then smiled. "We were brought back because we were needed. Wanted. It was not our intention to fade. To die. Whatever happened unsettled it all. I would hope this was to correct it. People were pulling together. The gods returning to set it right as we used to in days of old. Our hosts chosen by a need within us."

"I don't pretend to understand it all. But this time I must do more than I did last time." she said and then indicated the street ahead. The pavement was blackened and cracked and she knew it was not far around the turn. "We are close to the Pantheon. Perhaps a block or two."

Flimsy shell, hosts, what demeaning and nasty words. Apparently gods were parasites. Were he more of a humanitarian, perhaps it would have been deemed a concerning factoid to know. As it was, though, Jynn only thought to himself that at least it wasn't him that was playing as some god's costume.

A brow tilted at Gelezis' comment, but otherwise the treasure hunter seemed unfazed. Not looking at the other male, his lips puckered slightly as if kissing the air before him. What it meant was up for interpretation, but clearly he was a cheeky b*****d all the same, pain or none. "No idea what you're talkin' about. Place sure has a funny way of fixin' itself, though. Think I could get in on some of the action or is this going to be a members-only sort of thing?" Save the world, yeah yeah. Keep himself preoccupied... now there was the idea. Besides, if he couldn't find a way out and they failed, he was dead anyway.

"I wonder what we shall find inside," Gelezis mused, voicing aloud the question that Sean was also pondering. "Do you think you might be able to examine the situation inside first, Lady Lisana, and let me know if it would be safe to enter in my present state?" He chewed his lip a little, and frowned. "I ask not out of cowardice, mind you, but because I wish to be able to do something to help as well, if I can in this condition, and I would serve no one if I rushed ahead not knowing if Sean's form could take whatever was going on at the Pantheon."

He glanced over at Jynn again, and added, "For your friend's sake, as well, since he seems set on joining us." The god grudgingly admired his courage, at least. "Little else for us to do but try, no, Jynn? And I would say you appear to be a member of this plane as much as the rest of us. I take no issue with you getting in on whatever is going on." If they failed, it would not matter either way, but more hands could only help. So long as they stayed out of Gelezis's way when it mattered.

A portion of her unsettled at the thought of being asked. She knew it was the girl who had stirred and that they were not entirely merged yet. It was simply easier with noone fighting her. Eftemie had always been one to avoid, not to charge in directly, but she never stopped fighting and that was what Lisana had needed as much as the joy of laughter when she was hurting most. She was struggling to keep it all held back and at some point she would pay dearly for pushing herself to such a limit. It could not be helped as in the back of her thoughts, the panic from the wave still worried and jumped pushing her onward. For a moment she remained silent in thought, then she smiled at both her companions.

"Of course, Gelezis. I will do the best I can when we get there. I will be the first to admit that I do not remain focused but tend to ramble a bit. Silly puns and laughter are what I am best at at this moment, though I'm quite certain few find such morbid humor on their list of To Do as I do."

Moving around the corner, she nearly sighed as she noted the difference in the area. "Much has changed with Destruction's presence. The last time this street looked new. And I've not much power but I will use what I can to give you both a chance, so you should know what I am capable of. Focusing a bit, I can force laughter from their lips, but I believe they must be capable of such. It is a distraction at best for I do not think my puns will work on anything or anyone. But it would give you a chance to take action or even to slip away and find a way to take advantage. Unfortunately I'm not been here long enough to have the full power I once had."

Where had chivalry gone? Asking a woman to poke her head into a dangerous area?

Notice how Jynn didn't argue, though. Someone like him against a god seemed like... well, as effective as bringing a knife to a gun fight. Not that he wouldn't try, of course, but Gelezis had a good idea as far as scoping out what they were up against first. "Well, thank you lord. It's an honor to fight by your side."

So her power was... making others laugh? "I think all we need for a look is a distraction. It should more than suffice. As for my talent... I have a hard time dying." A slight smirk at that, "So it should work out well enough. And you Lord Gelezis, what tricks might you possess?" His eyes quickly looked over the area, then back over his shoulder to make sure they were not being followed. He could... smell something horrible in the air. How had life sufficed in this area in reaction to the 'wave', anyway? The sidewalk was definitely worse for wear, as well as the surrounding buildings. Everything seemed so gray and lifeless here, and ahead a hint of the behemoth of a temple they were traveling to.

Gelezis was silent for a long moment, and though he kept his head facing forward, he stole occasional glances at Lisana. He felt a pang of jealousy; it was a person's spirit that gave them such power - why he had not yet been able to truly crush Sean into submission. And Gelezis had his own strength of spirit, yet his domain was a purely physical realm. Once he regained it, at least. Someday, when his strength had returned in full, he would be able to twist and tear, bend and perhaps poison with his power over magnetism, and eventually, just due to his nature as a god in a host body, Sean would be erased, but Gelezis would never be able to budge Sean's mind the tiniest little bit.

His vision blurred, making him realize that he had not been concentrating on his sight, and Gelezis nearly tripped before he regained full hold on Sean's body and senses again. Things still felt vague an distant, though, and the god put a hand to his head and took a deep and slightly shaky breath.

"Tricks?" he repeated, looking over to Jynn again. His mood immediately darkened. He was probably the least equipped of any of them. "My host collects junk, and right now, my magnetism extends no further than the boundaries of his body." And Gelezis was not even completely sure about that, as he seemed to be recovering so slowly from the effects of the earlier wave.

"I come to seek answers for now, though," the god went on. "Whatever I find out now will leave me that much better armed for the next encounter." It was a good tactic, to know what was going on, but Gelezis was still ultimately a man of action. His limited touch with Sean's body at the moment that kept his voice a near monotone and his features a still mask was all that hid his anger at his limited options.
