The question caught Xun Jiang off-guard at first - the dragon blinked. Once, twice.
Then, even as he rose again and started to walk away from Adi and her tiny little treasure, he smiled.
"Night elves tend to treasure feelings and memories over trinkets." One step. "...Spend time with him. Be with him. Go hunt with him, perhaps - he always likes company." Another. "Through... If you insist on something physical..." Another step. "He does have a weakness for little glass trinkets. And jewelry."
This wasn't exactly a turn of events that he had expected, but perhaps this was for the best. Help me, Adi.
Help me save the man who is, and yet isn't, my son.
He was far enough, now. Far enough to not accidentally warm Adi or scare the winged floox too badly, and so he let go. The act of shifting was similar and yet completely different from the way Illisia had done it. It was too smooth, too practiced to be her, but yet the idea behind the gestures was the same.
Now on four feet rather than one, the dragon completed his step and looked back. "Well ?" He sniffed at the air idly. "Take place, my lady."
Could a dragon grin ? Because it definitively looked like he was grinning.
