It is an ancient time, long before modern technologies and civilization. It is a world, much like our own, but yet terribly different.

This is the world of Pokemon!

You don't have to own a pet from Carnivorous Companions to join! This is open to everyone!

Professions:
Pokemon Warrior: Just the same as a pokemon trainer, these older versions of the modern trainer are seen by all with respect as they brave the elements and wild pokemon, all while working along-side a team of the wild beasts.
Pokemon Ranger: a person dedicated to protecting pokemon. These are the lighter and often times less combat minded versions of the Warriors. They are usually good at getting out of conflict and resolving problems.
Pokemon Rogue: usually low-lives and thieves, these bunch are a pain in the arse. They use pokemon to steal and fight in unjust battles.
Pokemon Healer: who often double as breeders. They carry medical supplies which aren't as advanced as the modern potions, but the herbs and healing salves work just the same. Besides healing they are usually very smart, but they don't get involved in battles if they can help it. Their pokemon are either usually fro breeding purposes or to sid them in healing or hatching.

These are the main classes of pokemon professions. But there are also those who go about their lives with and without pokemon influence, from the humble blacksmith to the honorable King. They may have pokemon but they are not part of the persons livelihood.

Our world is based on an island, which has become fractured into many kingdoms. Each Kingdom is ruled by a Royal figure. Be it a King, Queen, Duke or Czar. Each area has its own culture, society and rules. The different Kingdoms have been hostile towards each other for centuries. Some kingdoms seek peace more than others, and it’s become a matter of interest for each territory to find a way to end the conflicts.

Territory Conflict:
Each territory has choosen a champion of their land, these champions have been given a gym to train in. The point of the champions, is to allow each country to send their warriors out and try to defeat the various champions, which ever kingdom succeeds in defeating all of the Champions will allow their Kingdom to rule over all others. Ending the struggles that have plagued the island for so long.

Just a little problem:
Making one Kingdom dominant will surely put the rest of them into revolt, only making the situation worse! So the peace-minded Kingdom of Dragons Darkness has called upon a team of warriors, rangers, Healers and even a few rogues to take on all the Champions and claim the island in the name of all men and pokemon. Securely ending the strife.

This team of Warriors will have to go up against all the champions, and on top of that they will be challenged by the various Kingdoms Challengers, who want to make their own kingdom powerful, and destroy all the competition. They may be misguided, or completely aware of the situation, but either way they will fight the group tooth and nail to uphold their honor. Will you fight with the lone band, or against them?

You don't have to have purchased a Carnivourous Companions Pokemon to be in the roleplay, this is open to everyone! You can make up who is on your team, even if the shop doesn't offer that type of pokemon.

Also, you don't have to have a full team, you can catch pokemon as you go along, in fact, that's encouraged to start out with a low level pokemon and work your way up!

If you're starting as a new Warrior, you receive one Level 5 pokemon from you home town. If you're starting as a Warrior who's been around a while then please try to level yourself out to not overpower the rest of the group, if i have a problem with your profile I'll change ti to accommodate the rp situation.

Kingdoms

History and Pokemon types homes

Dragon Darkness Kingdom – This land is well rules but a Duke and Duchess of Darkness. They rule with logic and kindness towards their people. They have always been a very powerful country and had to learn fast how to take control of this power. They are the organizers of the secret group, though they are can’t claim to have anything to do with the group, leaving them on their own.
The Land of Dragons Darkness is very cultivated with vast farms and orchards. Outside of these urban areas in the wilderness live dark type pokemon, and dragon-type pokemon, with the occasional normal type pokemon. The pokemon here are usually very powerful and dangerous should one get into a battle with them, but for the most part if you leave them alone, they’ll leave you alone.

Kingdom Thunder – This land is ruled by the Czar of Lightning. The Kingdoms claim to fame is their huge tournaments they hold once a year at the festival of Light. Beyond the tournament the people are mainly a fishing community using their electric pokemon to catch and capture fish easily. Besides that they also have the most renown dojos on the island.
Kingdom Thunder is home to electric and fighting type pokemon, usually very feisty and full of pep. The people have been known to be rough and tough due to living with these hard to handle pokemon.

Swamp Terror Kingdom – This land has a raised bridge that runs through it’s center and splits in two directions, toward the Underground Kingdom and the other towards the Blazing Lands. At the heart of the bridge is a moderately large city, the Kingdoms capitol, and the only human populated area of the swamp. The Duke of Poison is not very well liked by the other kingdoms as he charges a forture for his countries products, including many of their rare spices. Though it is probably the only reason the swampy Kingdom is able to survive.
The Swamp contains Poison type and psychic pokemon, as well as a few of the creepier water-types. It’s not really a place you want to stay for long.

Underground Kingdom – There is no way over the huge mountains that lay at the center of the island, and so that gave the people an idea to tunnel through the mountains. They started digging and never left. They have evolved to be shorter and thicker than usual humans, though they are still human. They are the wealthiest Kingdom, with their huge deposits of minerals, gold, silver and many other resources. These mining people have a vast capitol at the mountains heart, with carved architecture unrivaled by any other kingdom. These guys are living the high life, with their King of Gold at the helm they’ll continue to rake in the money.
Rock, steel, and ground type pokemon make this place their home, as well as some fighting types, though many migrated to the Thunder Kingdom after the humans started digging here many centuries ago. These pokemon are usually thick skinned, but weak against elemental attacks.

The Flight Kingdom – These people are usually seen as whimsical and lighthearted, with their leader, King Wing, these guys are almost seen as a joke to the other countries. They believe life it too short to worry, and do their best to live each day to the fullest.
Flight Kingdom is home to bird and normal type pokemon, with the few light types scattered through the territory. This is a great place to train, particularly for a low level Warrior.

The Blaze Land – Volcano’s, lava, magma, and hot springs! The land is mostly rough until you get to the cities with mainly make their money off of the hot springs and bathhouses they are so popular for. The Czar of flames has decided to try and make the best of their poor situation and has capitalized on many of the lands natural deposits. They are also very popular for their glass-work and grand sculptures, and land of fire and art! These people are hard-working and clever.
The Blaze Lands are home to all fire type pokemon and many rock types. It’s a great land to train in for a difficult challenge. The pokemon here are tough and don’t give in easily. But they are not quite as powerful as famed dragons darkness land creatures and thus, easier to defeat.

Sea-Foam Islands – Paradise, that’s what many have called it. Wonderful beaches, lovely breeze and a beautiful view of the main-land. These islands are a great place. The Duke of Winds has kept the islands populated by tourists to bring in the island main source of money, which is great for the people who don’t have to work hard to maintain happy lives. The natives are usually very friendly and helpful.
Water-type pokemon live here, with bird types singing high in the trees. This land is a good place for anyone to train, giving a moderate challenge. The water type pokemon can be strong, but everything has a weakness. These islands are a great place to relax and recover.

Ice Mountain – The King of Snow keeps his land carefully guarded. These icy people are very fridgid to outsiders and keep mostly to themselves. The mountain is a deadly place and should not be taken lightly. If one survives to get to the top of the mountain where the gym was built then they must still defeat the Champion before claiming their prized badge.
Ice type pokemon live here…

Ancient Forest – it is said there used to be a Kingdom here, but they long ago perished due to a fire which consumed much of the old forest. It has re-grown since then and is now just a place where grass and bug type pokemon roam.

Duke of Darkness

Brittlebear
Fargo Isatop
Fargo

(short description) Fargo has next to know tan, save the pinkish sunburn which sometimes grazes his skin, his hair is sandy blonde, with grey eyes. He travels with a sling across his chest which holds a egg, located under his arm to keep it warm. He has a backpack which he carries many medical supplies in and various other trinkets which he uses for fun.
Nationality: Flight Kingdom
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Profession: Healer

Bio: Fargo never knew his parents, not really, they were taken from him when he was very young. After that he was raised by a nice couple who had never had a child of their own, and being the age they where, decided to take Fargo in. So he grew up in the Flight Kingdom learning this and that in school, but nothing sparked his interest as much as pokemon. By chance Fargo stumble into the local hatchery, after startling all the pokemon within the hatchery and causing a huge commotion did the owner of the place come into find that Fargo had unintentionally become an orphaned Spearows mother. The little bird fawned over Fargo to the point where the owner could not restrain it to the nursery and had to allow Fargo to take the pokemon home with him. After this, Fargo worked in the hatchery with the Spearow by his side.
After some time at the hatchery he grew bored, and as other younger apprentices showed up he decided it was his time to move on to learn new skills, as such he decided to learn the arts of Pokemon Healing. He traveled to the Sea-Foam islands and learned about medicine and pokemon care, he graduated two years ahead of his classmates and before leaving decided to explore the island one more time. As he explored he found a small abandoned egg, it looked in rough shape as if another pokemon had tried to steal it for a quick meal and had lost it while having the fight the eggs mother. Fargo knew the egg would never be able to make it home and took it upon himself to hatch it. He now travels with his Spearow and the egg latched to his side.

Personality:Fargo is a little out there, he tends to talk aloud, which can be confusing as he’s usually half way through a thought. His attitude is completely laid back, and without worry. Which often puts people off, since they see him as possibly arrogant or stupid for not being more concerned over matters. But it’s just how he is. When he has a plan or idea he sticks to it and will see it through until it’s complete, nearly nothing can distract him from his task.

Nationality:Dragon Darkness Kingdom
Age: 19
Gender:Female
Profession:Ranger

Bio: Shaiya was born in the Ice Mountain, but due to a disagreement with her parents at the very young age of 10, she stowed away on a visiting ship and later ended up in the dragon darkness kingdom. Her first experience with a pokemon came about when she stole food from a vendor in the marketplace and she was chased, as she hid in a small nook behind a warehouse, she noticed men unloading crates and crates of strange looking pokemon which they poked and hit with sticks. One of these pokemon she noticed was a strange purpleish color and had some sort of metal energized contraption bound around its wrist and head. After all the men had gone later that night she snuck into the warehouse and released the strange pokemon which for some reason looked straight at her calmly like it somehow understood her. After releasing a few more she managed to sneak them all out vowing to return again for the rest but when she returned the next night the warehouse was empty and she was almost captured and beaten by the rough looking men she had seen the previous day. She barely escaped and found her way outside of the kingdom there she roams freely in the wilderness with the strange pokemon she come to call Diom. After that night Shaiya remains hellbent on protecting her pokemon friends from anyone who might want to hurt them. She's very quick due to her petite stature and excels at hand to hand combat which she had more than enough practice with due to thugs who venture into the wilderness in hopes of capturing pokemon. She is however not adept at properly fighting with Diom who refuses to listen to her at times even though he follows her faithfully everywhere.

Personality: Shaiya has learned to depend on herself pretty much for everything so she has a tough exterior but she's extremely sly and quick witted. She's a fierce protector of all the pokemon she lives around. She lives off the food she steals from farms, and orchids on the outskirts of the wilderness.

Summery of Events!

The Group is the Dragons Darkness Kingdom awaiting the arrival of the King and Queen of Darkness to discuss the why such a diverse group has gathered.

Battle System, and leveling up

Okay, it's real simple, to level up your pokemon, battle, train, and get stronger.

Here's how it works

For each level your pokemon is at, it equals the number of exp you have to win to level up.

For example, if your pokemon is at level 4, you would have an exp. bar of 0/4, meaning you have to beat four more easy battles to grow to level 5.

So you win one battle your exp bar turns to 1/4

When you've beaten three more pokemon, you reach 4/4, which rolls over to 0/5, YOU'VE LEVLED UP!

Not too hard. As you go along your journey it'll be harder to level up, but the opponents will also be stronger, making them worth more exp. Trainer battles and Champion Battles are worth a lot more then the average pokemon battle so keep that in mind while you raise your pokemon.

Intro Post

All the delegates had gathered from their different countries to this one spot, it seemed this kind of council had happened not to long ago but for a different and much more violent purpose. This council was a result of that one and would hopefully solve the problems that their predecessor council had overlooked.

Unlike last time all of these people at this meeting where not Dukes and Kings, but Warriors, Rangers, Healers and the occasional Rogue. All milled about the large room socializing and talking in confused tones about the purpose of this meeting, it seemed all of the Warriors had received similar messages from the Duke of Darkness himself requesting their presence for a matter of great importance.

Cutting all the chatter short there was a loud boom from a gong and the Duke of Darkness walked into the room. Without hesitation many of the member present found seats and waited for the Duke to explain his reasons for calling them there.

The room was large and round, about as large as a ballroom in any other castle, but here it had a large round table at it's center, with just enough seats for everyone present. The Duke sat at the head, his chair being above all the others, so that everyone could clearly see and hear him as he sat down.

"Welcome, One and All!" it was a standard greeting in all countries, the One being the person and the All referring to their pokemon companions.

"I'm glad to see you have come on such short notice, but I'm afraid this problem must be resolved swiftly." The anticipation was heavy in the air as the Duke struck a grave face. "As you all know, there has been a challenge set forth to all the Kingdoms, whichever country's warriors should defeat all of the countries seperate Champions will be declared ruler of the island. This woudl seem a grand solution to the wars that have plagued our lands for years, but there is one thing the Rulers of our Kingdoms will not admit to, and that is that all our Kingdoms are different and need to be divided, our kingdoms are too different to be able to assimilate to each others customs. I was outvoted at the last council, which has caused me to call upon you, the best and maybe least respected members of all these great Kingdoms. You have all been overlooked in the past, which makes you perfect for this great plan."

He paused again, the tension in the room was palpable. "I ask you now, to embark on a journey, under the name of No Kingdom, to defeat all the challengers and create a united Kingdoms council which will allow all the kingdoms to discuss their issues before starting conflicts which cost lives. Will you accept these terms."

There was a general murmur of discussion across he room, people shook their heads, waved their arms and generally didn't seem interested in starting such a huge amount of upheaval.

((What will you do?))

Arc Brisingr stared down at his seat.
He wasn't used to so many people in a crowded room, and it was getting stuffy.
Blaze, his loyal partner, was also feeling the tension in the room and whimpered.
Arc absentmindedly stroked Blaze's fur and scanned the room. It was full of a variety of different people from different places, all unknown and strange to him. He recognized some from his own kingdom, but they were too focused on the topic too notice him. He even spotted some local thieves from his town. He snorted.
'What kind of use could theives be?' he wondered, slightly insulted at the thought of thieves being equal to a Ranger or Warrior. Then he saw Kat, a local breeder from around his home. He had seen her occasionaly in the hatchery, and he wondered what she was doing here.
Suddenly, a gong ran and Arc was brought back to reality. He craned his neck to get a good look, and saw the Duke of Darkness at his chair. Then, the Duke started to explain why he had brought them here.
After what seemed like a few minutes, the speech finally ended.
"Will you accept these terms." The words rang in his head as he thought about it carefully. The murmurs and snorting of others around him clearly showed that they disagreed. Arc, however, was actually impressed by the idea somewhat. Many conflicts had involved many Pokemon being hurt badly, and with more conlifcts, it would get worse. Arc folded his arms and leaned back.
Growlithe jumped up onto his lap and started to sleep partially. Its closed eyes and relaxed posture made him smile.
Arc then spoke up. His opinion probably wasn't needed, but he would speak it anyways.
In a loud, partially curious voice, he said,"Well, I for one wish for no more conflict. Wars have increased dramatically over the past years, and more and more Rangers are sent out to rescue Pokemon and deal with the damage that's left behind. If beating the challengers will solve the problem, then I will do it."
Laughs and murmurs rang out through the crowd. They were all thinking the same thing: He's just a kid, so why bother.
Arc, however, stared defiantly back and waited for an answer.

"You're crazy! Sooner or later, they'll swallow your heart!"
"Not a chance. My heart's too strong."
-Riku

Taki had meerly been leaning against a wall the whole time. The crowd was noisy, and she was annoyed by this greatly. Her cold stare rested on the chair the Duke was to sit at when the time came. None tried too talk to her for a few reasons. Fist, most were just creeped out by her cold stare at the chiar. none knew her either. Plus...the fact she had a zapdos didnt help anyone want to get close.

When finally order was called and the speech was given, Taki heard someone volenteer. Her age too. Aww, what the heck. She had nothing better to do, and her eevee, Honi, was looking at her as if to tell her to just do it.

"I'll go too. I mean, its not like its any harm to at least try. It'll be good training for my pokemon. Personally, I think you're all scared to go. Never been outside your own kingdom? I've travelled before, and I'll do it again."

Her offer was met with quiet, mutinous murmmers. They were unhappy with her comment, but it was true for some of them.

"What, no challenges to me?" She called icily at the trainers, who held and eerie silence.

Walking in, Solar faithfully at her side, Kat found an empty chair. She had gotten a letter the other night for all trainers to report to this gathering for an important meeting. "Solar, its a little to crowded. Do me a favor and get inside your poke'ball?" Kat requested, petting her ninetails gently on the neck. The ninetails nodded, him not liking his poke'ball all to much. "Thank you." Kat told her lovely before grabbing the fire imprinted poke'ball and holding it out to Solar. "Return." In a moment the ninetails was back in his little home. "Good boy.." She whispered before placing the shrunken size poke'ball in her pocket.

His feet where propped up on the table with his chair tilted back as he rocked forward and back gently, careful to keep his balance as he stretched his arms out behind his head, a Spearow lay roosted in his lap, sleeping. Around his front was a sling which widened aorund the right side, but showed nothing of it's contents. At the conclusion of the speech, the man in the chair set his feet on the floor and gave a wide yawn, which twisted into a crooked grin, "well naturally you'll need a good healer to go along, so I guess my services will be needed, sounds like fun! What do you think Iggy?" The Spearow gave a quiet chirp, "Well that settles it, we'll just have to go!" He twisted his body to the right and pulled the sling that lay across his chest toward his front to reveal the egg that had been resting at his side. He cooed to the egg, "Yes, a little adventure for you my friend, I think you'll like it." He held the egg to his chest, feeling the pulse of the thing within, and making sure it was at a good temperature. Slowly and reluctantly he set the egg safely back in it's sling and looked aorund the room to see many of the disgruntled people looking at him like he where insane which wasn't probably far from the truth. If this strange Healer was to go then they certain wouldn't want to, with that many of the pokemon Warriors began filing out. The group that remained was much smaller and considerable more of the odd bunch.

"Yeah! This is going to rock!" Kyuubi pumped her fists in the air, jumping from her seat after the speech. Sasuke twitched, sweat dropping as Naruto and Rukario couldn't wait for all the battles. "hn. mighhhh. (oh god.)" Sasuke groaned looking at his energetic owner. "Jol..Jol, jolteon! (oi, get out of that Kimono, you look rediculous here." Aknoba barked out at Kyuubi as the other twitched her ear doing her own little 'I'm finally going to show them all' dance. "I know, I'm exceited too Aknoba!" Kyuubi cheered as Shadow pulled Kyuubi down to her seat. "Absol, sol, absol. (that's not what she said)" Shadow huffed knowing he was going to get the wrong replay from his owner. Kyuubi merly ignored them looking at all the other warriors, breeders and all the other sort. she sunk in her seat and immediatly became nervous, her body shaking. "Might? (what's wrong now?)" Sasuke grunted looking at the girl. "Everyone here looks tough, I meant, everyone is fit, has well trained pokemon and everything." Kyuubi clasped her hands on her cheeck and groaned. "And look at me, I'm a 14-year-old girl from the forest." "Mightyena? (what, so you're saying I'm not strong?)" Sasuke narrowed his eyes and Naruto poked him. "Ninetales, nine (Let it go, temae)"

Fang leaned back in his chair, contemplating on what he had heard. hmm...what to do now...? he thought. Marky, a black Growlithe, and Fang's bestest friend, shifted his paws impatiently, as he sat at Fang's feet.
