Who's read any of the Ugly Series?

Who has read the Ugly Series? (Uglies, Pretties, Specials, Extras, Bogus to Bubbly) What were your thoughts?

I've read the first two books. It's a pretty awesome series, so far.

Honestly, I liked them all except for the the last one. I only got about halfway through it and had to put it down because I just couldn't read it.

I read them all--except Bogus to Bubbly, as that'd seem a bit...uhm...extreme, I guess you could say.

Extras made me hold my breath.
And from the time I had Uglies in my hands in grade 8, I think I've read through the series twice.

I'm trying not to read through it again.

Wow. Usually when I ask anyone if they've read it they never even heard of it. It's one of my favorites. I really want to get Extras and Bogus to Bubbly. I own the first 3. smile I cried at the end of Specials though, due to it being the end of Tally's story. emo

OMG I love that series. You have very good taste in books, evidently.

It was so much fun to see the series evolve. Uglies was a riveting opening book, that left me wanting more. Pretties was fun, and I found myself talking like a total bubble-head right after I finished it. Specials - oh, what can I say? I loved it. More than any of the other books. The idea of being so enhanced, so deadly, I loved it. Everything in my world turned from bubbly to icy and never returned. I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it yet, so I won't any more.
Extras was good too, and it got even better when Tally and the gang returned. My inner nerd was sooooo happy when it found out what the Extras were, too. Sigh... if only there would be another book.

I've read them all except for bogus to bubbly. I didn't even know there were any books after extras, I will have to read it.

I'm only a few chapters into Extras at the moment. I love it! It's hard to believe how much the world had changed yet stayed exactly the same in 3 years. I think that after reading these books you can't help it when your vocab changes slightly to match how they talk in the books smile It's also hard not to get attached to the characters and feel everything they're feeling as if you're right there experiencing everything with them.

I've read them and really enjoyed them but I didn't read Extras.

I liked Uglies and Pretties while I was reading them, but after I moved on to something else (okay, okay I admit it was The Hunger Games) those books seemed sort of silly. Specials really threw me off. Tally pretty much just turned into a bad guy, and Shay drove me up a wall with her whole dramatic "Cutters" thing. The series really does feel like it was written by a woman instead of a man. Sure, there is lots of action, but too much drama. (I'm a woman, so I don't mind drama, but it didn't seem to fit in with this series)And... It's hard to like Tally when she lies to her friends from the beginning. So, I digress.

I liked the original trilogy, but it was just that - a trilogy. Extras ruined the entire series for me as I already felt that the series had been finished well and then a fourth book - which was actually really flat and uninteresting, which is uncommon in Scott Westerfield books - comes out and it just made me think "here we go, milking the cash cow."

I wasn't aware that there was a fifth and quite frankly, by this point I'm not interested.

I read these back in high school. I really liked them...but Extras was really unnecessary. It wasn't absolutely terrible....but I think the series should have ended after Tally's story.
But overall, I really liked them. I still have them in my home library, and re-read them every so often.
