My absolute favourite would probably be A Brave New World by Aldous Huxley.
No other ones really stick out right now ... which probably doesn't make them my favourites.

Games of thrones books one to five.Georger.R Martin
Sookie stackhouse novels(From True blood)
how to kill a mockingbird by harper lee
Chicken soup for the teenage soul books.

There is many more but its all I can think of right now.

my favorite author is Tess Gerritsen. She has created my favorite book series known as Rizzoli & Isles. It is a story line of a lady detective(Jane Rizzoli) and lady medical examiner( Maura Isles) who team up together to solve murders and yes they made it a tv series that's on Tuesdays at 9 on TNT. But over all the best book she's written is called the bone garden it flip flops back and forth between the present where a woman discovers a skeleton in her new garden and is determined to uncover who it may be and Massachusetts in 1888 where there's been a rash of strange murders surrounding a young Irish woman and her newborn niece. If you love a great story line that has you on the edge of your seat and constantly guessing who it is with amazing imagery YOU WILL LOVE THIS BOOK!!!
