Welcome to Gaia! ::

I am currently reading fahrenheit 451 for class. It is really good so far
I read that as part of my summer reading when I was in high school. It was very interesting, if I remember correctly.

I just finished reading Pride and Prejudice in my 18th Century Novel class. Love that book. 3nodding
The two books I read in my college reading class (...my teacher doesn't understand why I was placed into that class at all.), was Gang Leader for a Day and A Hope in the Unseen.
A Hope in the Unseen is disgustingly overrated. emotion_donotwant

Well in my Lit class in college the last two books we read were "The Hunger Games" and "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone", but before that we read "The Giver" by Lois Lowry. The Giver was soooo good.
We recently finished Lord of the Flies.
Does that give my age away...?
So far animal farm and the Giver

So far animal farm and the Giver

our class had to read Animal Farm as well.

creepy ending.
I am reading the Picture of Dorian Gray.
To Kill a Mockingbird.
I read Fahrenheit last year in my honors English class, and the Giver, and Tom Sawyer, and The Outsiders. Call me crazy, but I really didn't enjoy Fahrenheit 451 or Tom Sawyer... I really LOVED The Giver and The Outsiders though.
Just finished The Stranger by Albert Camus for my Philosophy class. Pretty much the best book for existentialism there is. o:

I don't know what books I'm going to have to read next semester American literature class yet. Last semseter in my literature class we read Grendel, Sense and Sensibility, The Great Gatsby, and Mrs. Dalloway. We were also supposed to read Death Comes for the Archbishop and The Unknown Masterpiece but we ran out of time.

Great Expectations sad It's a good book, but not when you have the pressure of taking notes and tests on it...

our teacher made me read Sense and Sensibility.. halfway through the book, I came across the movie version so I ended up not finishing the printed version =D
I'm making the high school kids I'm teaching read 'No Country for Old Men' over, of all damn things, Twilight because they are not 12 year old girls and their lit-teacher, who loves Twilight, is out on maternity leave.
