Welcome to Gaia! ::

any one here read he uglies?
Yes ^^ I read the whole series =)
i read the whole series 2 years ago. the first 2 i thought were really good, but the specials i think was dumb. i felt that the author just wrote that book to get the money. what i didn't like about it was the ending, but i guess it had to happen that way or else he would have to write a whole series again.
I read the first three. . .The first two had very intirguing storylines, but I just couldn't care for the characters. I don't know why, I just didn't like them. They were just so . . . boring I guess is the best word for it.

No, believe me. Specials was necessary. But have you read Extras?? It was the most retarded thing I'd ever read. He most definitely wrote it to get more money.

I've read his new book series Leviathan.
I love the Uglies series!
They are so amazingly good.
Extras was very unnecessary and kinda weird.

I've read Uglies. Though I didn't feel like I loved it. It was ok I guess.
I actually really liked Extras. I thought it was a very realistic description of how Japan would be in the future. It was very unique and exciting, too. ^.^

Specials I didn't enjoy, but that's probably because (spoilers in white) Tally turned out to be a cutter, then a special. I didn't like the way he described how she looked, and the kissing scene where she almost threw up bothered me. But I have to say I give Mr. Westerfield props for doing that to his main character. I think I just kind of felt sad after I finished Specials.

I'm going to say that Pretties was my favorite by far. I enjoyed reading about the way pretties lived, and (spoilers in white) I also loved how they figured out what was going on, and the scene where they both took the pills meant for one person. That was such a cool twist.
